The Department of Agriculture will hold hearings on May 9 at Washington, D. C, relative to estab- lishing a new standard for sulfate wood rosin. Department of Agriculture, Washington 25, D. C. Air Force Loyalty Program. The Air Force has recently issued regulations rela- tive to its loyalty and security program for civilian personnel. The regulations cover all phases of the loyalty program including grounds for removal. Overtime Compensation. The Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor recently issued a statement of general policy and interpretation regard- ing overtime compensation not directly related to regulations. "How to Sell to the United States Army" is now available at no cost from the Procurement Informa- tion Center, Department of the Aimy, Room 3D745, the Pentagon, Washington 25, D. C. A new schedule of fees has been announced for relabel- ing and reconditioning inadmissible im- ports. The schedule, approved by the Treasury Department and the Federal Security Agency, calls for payment of ex- penses by the owner or consignee. ECA Directory. The names and ad- dresses of importers in Marshall Plan countries and the products in which they trade are now available in a three-volume directory recently issued by the ECA. The Secretary of Labor has established a minimum wage of 95 cents an hour for all persons em- ployed in the soap industry who are en- gaged in work on government contracts under the Walsh-Healy Public Contracts Act. "Positive List." The Office of Inter- national Trade has removed export con- trols on a number of coal-tar products and chemical specialties, including plastics, in- dustrial chemicals, and pigments. Carbon Black. ECA has increased its industrial guaranty to Godfrey L. Cabot Inc., Boston, Mass., to provide for cur- rency convertibility in connection with the operation of a carbon black plant now under construction in England.
