Studies- Proffessional experience
Born in Athens.
Studied filmmaking in the University of Westminster in London.
Founded her own company IRIS FILMS, in which she worked as an editor for
seven years, in Soho, London, in collaboration with Richard Jobson and Warner
Brothers.
Her first film «Skipper Straad» won 14 awards. It was screened in central cinemas
in Athens and international television – including the German-French TV channel
ARTE.
For the last years she has been working as a documentary director for Greek and
international productions, including a 12 part series about charity help for the
children of Peru screened on ITV channel called “Amazon Heartbeat”, a feature
documentary about the journalists that were killed in the Iraq war called “Dying for
the Truth”, a BBC documentary about a philanthropic village in Bangladesh called
“Back Down to Earth”.
Her last documentary work as co-director “Written by Mrs Bach” was shown on
BBC and won several awards on international festivals and is now up for theatre
release.
She has recently completed a script for her first feature fiction film based on a book
of a famous Greek author.

authenticity of some of Johann Sebastian’s Bach music .

children of Peru and the medical assistance given to the deserted villages of the
Amazon river.
Co-production between ITV CHANNEL and GLASGOW FILMS.
Directing, filming in Peru and the Amazon.
DISTRIBUTION
The series was shown in ITV1 in August 2007 with excellent critics.
It was choice of the week for many weeks in major TV magazines
and newspapers and had 17% of viewing rates, just next to the
famous soap opera the «East enders».

Award for Best Short Film by the Ministry of Culture in
Thessalonika Film Festival.

Jameson’s award, given to the best twelve European short
films, which are then screened in all major festivals in Europe.
Special Prize for Best Film in the Mediterrenean Festival of
Tangiers in Maroco.
Award for Best Film in the Short Film Festival of Drama,
Greece.
The Award of the Greek Film Critics Association.

Screened for four weeks in the two central cinemas of Athens,
