Academic RequirementsEach sorority requires a minimum cumulative gradepoint average to join in supporting women in achievingtheir degrees. Once a woman joins a CPH sorority, shewill also maintain academic standards duringmembership. If a woman does not maintain therequired academic requirements, she could losemembership privileges.

Time CommitmentsAs a member of a CPH sorority, you will be required toattend meetings and campus events, plan programs, and participate in philanthropy and communityservice. The actual time commitment will vary bychapter, but we estimate that you'll spend about 3-6hours per week on average for sorority business.

Financial CommitmentsCPH sororities have fees each semester, and these feesare what are used to pay for programming like service, educational, and social events, as well as. Some feesare paid to the national organization for things likeinitiation fees, badge fees, insurance, to name a few!

Most of our CPH women work to pay their dues. Thecost can seem like a lot, but as you meet ourorganizations, we encourage you to discuss what thesefees cover and how often payments are required tobetter understand the cost and financial expectations.

Put aside about 30-45 minutes tocomplete your applicationDon't stress or worry about saying the"wrong" thing; just be yourself!Your video does not need to be a fancyproduction. You can film it on your phone! You will need to upload it to a platformlike Youtube and post the link in yourapplication.

Trust the process. CPH Sorority recruitment is designed to provideopportunities for you to get to know all of the chaptersand for the chapters to get to know you. This processcan seem chaotic at times, but we are here to help.

Trust yourself. Many variables go into deciding to join a sorority. Youwill be surrounded by opinions that may be differentfrom your own. Look at the sorority as a whole. Don’tallow others to decide for you. Be open.

Stay positive. You will see that during the course of recruitment, youropinions can change drastically. Remember, it onlytakes one bid on Bid Day to join, so be open andexcited about the chapters that invite you back.

Ask questions. Ask as many questions as possible. It is also highlysuggested that you ask questions of the chaptersregarding membership expectations, financialobligations, and housing requirements.

Be yourself. It is tempting at times during recruitment to alter yourpersonality because you may feel that you need to fitin. However, it is so important to be true to yourselfand let your own personality shine. We all want to getto know the real you!
