Australia, Sidney

The Sydney Opera House is a performing arts centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Situated in Sydney Harbour, it was designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon in 1973.

Brazil, Rio de Janeiro

The statue of Christ the Redeemer.

It was created by French sculptor and the French engineer Albert Caquot.

It is 38 metres tall, and its arms stretch 28 metres wide.

It was constructed between 1922 and 1931.

China: The Great Wall

It is a series of fortifications built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China in order to protect the Chinese Empire against various nomadic groups and other enemies.

They were built as tombs for the country's Pharaohs and their wives.

The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower located in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower in 1889.

The Taj Mahal meaning "crown of palaces", is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra.

Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632, when the 3rd wife of the Shah Jahan died.

The principal mausoleum was completed in 1648.

The Colosseum is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Construction began in 70 AD, and was completed in 80 AD.

The Rialto Bridge is one of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy.

A pagoda is a tower built in the traditions originating in historic East Asia common in Nepal, India, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Burma and other parts of Asia. Most pagodas were built to have a religious function.
