17 - 122Synthesis of 3-Arylpyrrolidines by Cycloadditions of N,N-Bis(benzotriazolylmethyl)amines to Styrenes. — Reactions of(I) (R1: -Ph, or -CH2-Ph) with α-methylstyrene or trans-β-methylstyrene eitherfail or result in decomposition of the starting material [cf. also the low yieldin the preparation of (IIIb)].
