15 October 2013 Sir, I refer to your email address to Minister S. Hasikos and I would like first to thank you for your interest and comments. 2. Problems related to the issuance of the deeds have been studied very closely with the Departments of Lands and Surveys and Planning and Housing, with the support of the Legal Service of the Republic and we are elaborating on further amendments of the existing legislation in order to improve the situation. 3. The same issue is being very thoughroully discussed with the Troika and specific targets have been set, which will give answers to many of the existing problems. 4. However, this issue is not simple and it will need a concerted effort to improve and resolve. Towards that end, we have been working quite intensively during the last six months, in cooperation with all actors in the building and property industry.
