Search for heavy resonances decaying into a vector boson and a Higgs boson 1 / 12

materia-antimateria, gerarchia...)

à Teorie oltre il modello standard: esistenza bosoni pesanti (W′, Z′) (GUT, Composite Higgs,

Little Higgs)

Heavy Vector Triplet

• Introduzione (V0,V+,V−)

• Parametri gV (strength interazione), cH (accoppiamento a bosoni), cF (accoppiamento afermioni)

• Modello HVT-B: BR(X→ f f ) << BR(X→ VV) ≈ BR(X→ VH)

Search for heavy resonances decaying into a vector boson and a Higgs boson 2 / 12

Panoramica dell’analisi [CMS PAS B2G-16-003]

1. X→ ZH → ``bb

2. X→ WH → `νbb

3. X→ ZH → ννbb

• H → bb: alto branching ratio (≈ 60%), V → leptoni:canale pulito

• X pesante→ topologia boostata, V-H alto momento

Conclusioni

Sommario e prospettive future

Systematic uncertainties

• Analysis limited by available statistics in data

Summary of the systematic uncertainties:

• Uncertainties coming fromαmethod (parameters, choice of the functions, extrapolation)

• Uncertainties from physics objects (JES, JER, lepton scale and resolution, b-tagging)
