KEY POINTS TO CONSIDER WHEN DESIGNING
Research & brainstorm early
Start your designs early. Consider your strengths, how can
you use them to the best of your ability.
Concept development
Dont rule anything out immediately. Experiment, explore
and test your concepts. Be critical and continually question
all aspects and possibilities. Dont forget who your target
audience is and their likely reaction to the topic/s.
Clarity of Communication
Convey your message clearly. Keep it simple and to the
point. The viewer should be able to navigate and process
with ease. Your trying to win them over, so be persuasive.
Design Development
There are always many solutions for the same problem;
some more convincing than others. Remember your
objective and pursue every possibility until it is exhausted.
Experiment, review, refine, repeat.
Get feedback
Ask your peers for their honest and constructive opinion.
Take your ideas public and record your findings to alter your
success.
REQUIREMENTS
All research, exploration and experimentation,
conceptual and design development must be clearly
documented in your journal. We should be able to see
how your concept and designs have evolved.
Demonstrate clearly that you have considered your
target audience and client where applicable, and used
this information in the development of your concept.
Your design is to be submitted digitally.
