Dear Colleagues,

I cordially welcome you to the CARDIO ATHENA 2013 International Meeting on Cardiovascular

Medicine. The Meeting, which will be held in Athens, Greece, at the Divani Caravel Hotel, from

March 29 to March 30, 2013, is organized by the 1st Department of Cardiology of the University of

Athens Medical School - “Hippokration” Hospital, and is under the auspices of the University of Athens

Medical School and the Hellenic Cardiological Society.

The CARDIO ATHENA 2013 is an effort to enhance the interchange of emerging new information on

the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

During these two days, we will have the opportunity to attend sessions with the participation of world

experts, who are pioneers in the field of cardiovascular research. Through Lectures, Round Table

discussions, debates and Satellite Symposia, the Meeting offers an outstanding Scientific Program,

featuring both state-of-the-art knowledge and innovative approaches in cardiovascular medicine. We

anticipate that this Meeting will be valuable in terms of both everyday clinical practice and advanced

research.

This year, the Scientific Program of the Meeting will be enriched with sessions concerning the issue of

Hypertension, as well as Interventional Cardiology.

We look forward to welcoming you in Athens and to providing you with the famous Greek hospitality,

in what promises to be an exciting Meeting.
