    Abstract Web 2.0 and social network services have been widely accepted by school students whilst at the same time they offer new possibilities to Internet users, which can be leveraged complementarily with traditional teaching, improving learning results. For this reason, a group was created in Facebook, within the context of the Research Project class which was taught to the students of the grade of the Vocational Lyceum of Amfissa during the school year 2012-2013. In this group, students were able to upload and post text, images, video and various types of files (text files, presentations, spreadsheets etc.). Group members could also comment on all posts and could add a Like indication. The posts were visible only to group members. The paper presents the results of the study as well as proposals for future use and inclusion of Facebook groups in the daily educational practice.
