My bike and a bike road to go ...

Days of sunshine, high temperatures and the parks full of people seating on the benches. Faces looking to the sky, closed eyes and painted smiles. How important is the sun? If you miss it, only then you realize the value of sunshine... Grass, tulips, the color is back on the cold trees. I cant realize how passes the time riding on the bike and how many kilometers traveled by ... There is some days when I received the first attack by a Swan. He felt a threat and it was with his couple when a curious guy approached him with a black contraption in his hands with unknown intentions. Incredible scene, I still have the scene in my head and Im laughing alone. It is also noteworthy that a couple of pigeons made a nest in the adjacent apartment, and i have daily visits from their relatives. Spring and more people in the center of Amsterdam. The main train stationthe panic itself ... like the ants, people getting out of the entrance of central station... and you can hear voices from all over the world. How is the spring in Greece? I think it will take years to taste it again like old times. The others tasted the spring years before... and now its nothing left for the others. Good minds I wish for all of us, active citizenship and more respect to our environment.

    Happy reading!

If you took the title Black Light, you might think that this album would be filled with contradic-tions, otherwise styles and conflicting aesthetics. That couldnt be further from the truth. Cato and Findlay have perfected their art by focusing on tighter songwriting productions. Early fans might not recognize what mean the Groove Armada in the first place anymore, but there are still many elegant masterpieces that can put them back in first place.

Four years ago, the music scene of Berlin gained another hot spot, the Mangali. The word Mangali soon connected with a series of summer parties in open areas in which many famous and talented artists took part in such as Mymy, Konrad Black, M.a.n.d.y., Pan-Pot, Anja schneider, Margeret Dygas, Seth Troxler, Carsten Klemann and many others.Founders of Mangali, many artists, producers and people who deal with the organization of events tried to give a new essence to their parties. Quickly, the famous Mangali converted into a Label for special music talents.Today, the legacy of Mangali continues in Mexico, which is the start of their tour for 2010.

How did you come up with the idea of Mangali and why did you choose this name?We used mangali or fou-fou for warmth or for cooking meat and other good-ies. The process is simple. We gather the charcoal, we burn them and the heat that comes from it cooks the meat (many laughs..)Mangali started as a series of parties , once a week and it presented anything fresh the music scene of Berlin could bring out. MANDY, MY MY, Pan-Pot, Anja Schneider, Margaret Dygas, Argy, Gummihz, Cj Jeff, Ekkohaus, Ewan Pearson ,Radioslave ,iki are a few names that played on decks.Good weather, sand in the dancefloor, mangalis with fire , good music and friendly atmosphere were the ingredients of the party. This party got bigger , developed and last year ended into a big charity out-door event witch attracted more than 3.000 people. New year found us in Mexico, where it served as resident for the label Mangali Music.

Who are the basic members of your team and which artists do you have in your Label? The basic members are Jannis Siopis (A&R), Jannis Varelas (P&R),Sonja Schmaelzle (management/promotion).We have David Turuel, a new artist from Mexico nd.id and Siopis And of course we re looking for new talents with personal style. The first e.p. is from kiki&silversurfer and it will be realesed in April.

In 2010 , Mexico was your first destination and the start of your tour too. Why (was) that? Do you believe that people react to this kind of event more in Mexico than in Berlin? What s better than Mangali GOES Caribic? Its just that our vibes led us to create something like that in Mexico. People there is more enthusiast. And also, there is a mix of white beaches, jungle and of course great tequila.

What/ which are you plans and goals for the future? There arent any specific plans. The most important thing is love for music, good energy and innovative sound.

Having spent their childhood in the sweetness and the quietude of the east Parisian suburb, Leo & Pipo have difficulty in acclimatizing to the austerity of the capital, Paris, the museum-city.

Furthermore, they are surprised by the profound boredom and by the absence of warmth which reigns in the streets of the megalopolis. It is finally by reflex, and to try to appropriate this city which rejects them that Leo & Pipo launch in April 2008 an ornamental project.

Nevertheless, Leo & Pipo avoid ardently any message and any commitment. They pro-pose their figures as potential actors of the life of districts. These figures of unknown persons of another time tell nothing, impose nothing. They simply look at people, hop-ing that these same people look at them in return.

Favorite accessories for women and men now move sunglasses in many styles and colors. Although today their use is so widespread, not only for sun protection but also as fashion accessories, use them before the 60s was mainly medical or practical purposes.

Classical, modern, sports, minimal, old school, military, retro comple-ment and highlight the personal style of each.Trends in many different glasses over the years with many changes in shape, the materials, size and colors. Round, polygonal, square or rect-angular, sometimes bone, metal, silver or gold color in the frame with-out frame, distinctive monochrome or colorful impressive, with strass and other precious stones with decorations, stripes, plaid, with dark or lenses and light in accordance with the current trends. The sunglasses were registered trademark decades and many famous actors and singers!

The identification is so great that certain types of glasses have taken their name from the famous who wore. For example glasses of Jackie O, that the 60s revealed the large horn glasses and was a fashion model for thousands of women. The glasses John Lennon, small round metal frame, minimalist, with dark lenses, which were worn and by Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger and the many other rock stars but not only them, became an integral acces-sory after the children of flowers and the whole generation of the 60s.

In the nearest future, in the mid-70s and early 80s, the Elton John wore on stage and in other public appearances of glasses of various sizes, mostly large with colored lenses, and quirky designs. Although the most famous musician leaves the fancy glasses at home, many of the fans still wear at his concerts.

Certainly the most famous and timeless design of all sunglasses are Ray Ban aircraft type or police, which formed in late 30 for the U.S. Army aviators and were polarized lenses for high absorption and for which the owner Company Polaroid, Edwin Land took patent. The sunglasses is not just fashion accessories. Not enough to choose glasses that we like, should be the main criterion is the quality lenses, if we are to properly welcome the sun and to protect our eyes from harmful radiation.Put your glasses, your best smile and enjoy spring walks and excur-sions.

Ellie Van den Brande series, Freedom ?About the series

We have made this series for drawing attention to the concept of free-dom and how volatile it really is. Even in a western structured society, where we percieve our world to be without any restrictions, when u stop and think about it, there is a lot more we are bound to then would be expect at first sight (or thought). It is not neccessarily a statement about what should or should not be called freedom, more like a wake-up call, that its a complicated subject matter wich needs looking into. There are a lot more ideas then presented here in three images, but it allready touches some really big issues. As an artist i consider it my job to investigate and most important, ask questions about current situa-tions.

Touching subjects like religion, individuality and society, i wanted to potray an idea for people to think about how they understand the right of freedom. Because next to the fact that we have some of them as written rights and freedoms in constitutional law, there is an other form of an idea of freedom, wich is completely subjective and individual. When put in a law, restrictions immediatly start to rise and a need to control the actions of individuals. Wich eventually will end up in more control instead of more freedom and if there is ultimate control, then where is there any space left for individuality? This is actually a bigger issue then general population realises.

Democracy is so big its eating itself alive, we want to create freedom for the big public, but by doing that we tend to come up with all kinds of rules how we should handle this or that situation and then put certain examples on a stand and make them a precedent of how the total of known society should handle accordingly. Long term we will end up paying the price and live and feel so controlled that all air will be gone out of our lungs and we will be gasping like a fish on dry land. We will have a lot of freedoms or be told we have them, but on the turn side of the medal, it will be according to a book of guidelines, the same for everybody, so everybody can be equal and free, but only if u follow the rules in the book. How free is that for u? And what if your nature does not conform with these rules? Do u then become an outcast?

In a society where so much is accepted, why are we trying to make everything so conservative, where its not really necessary. The more dynamic society becomes the better it will be survivable and livable for an even bigger crowd of people. But how is that accomplished?

I could continue this advocacy about a lot of similar aspects of the why and how we are constantly cutting down our own freedoms, or how we lock ourselves inside of a safe capitalistic world and how contradic-tive the actual results are to what we try to achieve by laws and regula-tions. But by then i will have written a whole book, with just a load of speculations and observations about current development of culture. Change is bound to happen, the only questions are when and how, for better or for worse...

How about Kinki magazine...Kinki is a monthly independent Swiss magazine for creative minds and freethinking aesthets. Its spread all over Switzerland and also available in bigger German cities. Our main categories are fashion, art, music and reports about all kinds of social topics.

Why kinki? We try to show things from a different angle, both graphically as contentu-al. To us, being kinki means featuring subjects and people that you wont find in mainstream media these days. We think that the name kinki (and the fact, that its spelled wrong) is short and crisp for our attempt to be unique, edgy and different.

How is the world from the view of kinki magazine? Its colourful, inconsistent, absurd, funny, diverse, ugly, dodgy, cruel, vast, appealing, lovely, relentless and full of very interesting people!

Some kinki facts or favorite tags?Even though we all are interested in music, fashion, photography, illustra-tion and whats going on in the cultural and political world, our interests are pretty diverse. Its really interesting to work in a group of people where everyone is into something different. For example, our publisher loves his two dogs, the girls here seem to have contracted a passion for photos that show no faces, our editor in chief would love to have a special issue about monsters Oh yeah, and I am pretty obsessed by aliens and supernatural stuff! ;-)

Lets paintthe K favourite color?Oh, thats a hard one, it raised a warm discussion in our office. Lets go for rainbow-colored. Including black, white and grey ; )

Some brainstorming thoughts for our readers...What will you read next?

Thank you for your time. We wish you the best

    Self speaking...

DESIGNER TOYSThere is an entire culture behind Design Toys! I absolutely wish I had a huge collection of these art figures and I must admit that I re-ally had a fantastic time searching and discovering all those super talented artists and their toy designs!

The Design Toys trend appeared in the 90s and has been active and creative ever since! Collectors all around the world seek little treasures from new and talented artists who have created a cool character and its true that in the creative community this certainly adds extra points in your resume!

Designer toys are made from a range of materials, including plastic, vinyl, resin, wood, metal, fabric and it is always amazing to see the different interpretations and approaches of various artists from various fields such as graphic design, illustration, painting, sculpture and more! These creations are mainly produced in limited editions.

As soon as toy design was introduced in the modern culture and trends community, even more artists started to show interest in this fresh design outlook. Extremely talented people like Gary Baseman, Kathie Olivas, Michael Lau, FuriFuri and many more, got involved and the outcome is definitely rewarding!

Here goes my top 50 selection. Funny, cute, aggressive, cool, freak, surreal but most of all ad-dictive! Each picture is linked to the respective designer so make sure to explore and discover this magic visual world.

A very successful design toy is Munny, introduced by the American company Kidrobot. As the official product description notes: A Munny doll is a blank figure the owner can decorate using pens, pencils, markers, paint, and other pigments. A Munny doll is made out of vinyl and has movable joints. The first Munny doll was white, and has since been available in other colors such as black, pink, blue, and phosphorescent green.

More and more creative people started sketching their ideas, creating models and producing their own Munny versions.

ASHES & SNOWby Gregory Colbert 2007Text. Monika Gren

Leave your eyes closed. To listen. Listen to the sound of feelings and pictures insideyourself. Leave your eyes open to see the inside. Everything that surrounds you. Do you remember your last dream? Do you remember the move of your own breath? Felt someones breath on your skin, sunbeams on your nose, your heavy feet on the ground, the grass greening your nose with spring? Do you remember the colours? You can see them. Remember your dreams. Just close your eyes, slow down, move with the silence coming to you. Come back. Ashes and snow. Black and white. Life and death. Water and fire. Moments of perfection.Completness and beeing. What is it about? Why catch the moment? It is not possible.Feel Refeel. Welcome to life.Take the boat. Swinging.Take the boat. Its waiting for you.Remember your dreams...Move slowly. Listen to natures music. The rising, it begins to flow. Move. Simultaniously.Sounds of the flying elephant. Sounds of the flying bird, dancing with the wind. Feathersfondling your face. Sounds of cats hair. Be close. Taking breath. Listen.Inside myself there it is. I can see it from outside. Through the stars, Elephants eyes, mysilent guards, shining on the deserts blanket caring for me. Talking to me. Standing up,quietely with joy, stable move. Images and words are coming to me. Moving myself,Opening my hearts book. Read. Take your time. And love.Take your time. Take my time.Admire this stepless dance.Corporate. Take part. Respect.Breath. Remember your dreams.Silent letters to read. Silent letters to burn. Ashes to be. Covering my snow. Someones waterpath. Gone with the rivers flow. Whispering moments make you lie on the ground. Be together. Side by side. Follow the natures rhythm. Hold. Time. It becomes clear. Washing my aching spikes away. I can clearly see it. I can remember. What came to me. I am.Close. Smile.Take off and fly my memory.

The colors that surround us characterize many emotions and harmony in our lives from the moment we see for the first time in this world .. A vector wave energy, either positive or negative, emotional turmoil and expire in any visual contact with them. They affect us every moment in the often unintended ignorance of our effects on them ..From our birth, the color with us is the white of purity and cleanliness .. Purity soul, referring to the mental clarity of infants and freedom from interference impaired .. Also, the notation of purity following an old tradi-tion, which wants the bride during the wedding ceremony wearing a white dress as a sign of purity of soul and the body.

The color of the sky on the other, catch each viewer of .. Looking at the causes mental lift and reflective mood with a touch of conservatism. The blue is the color of cosmic attraction ..Turning back the clock and arriving to school we spent the main part of our lives, remains a strong memory, color green .. .. none other than the green of the table in front of us freeze willy-nilly. The choice of color for this species is not random course .. It has direct connection with nature and thus produces a sense of calm, concentration and safety.

Passion, intensity, capacity, need for change = red .. Characteristic color of love and passion, conceals information facets. It may even stimulate a feeling of hunger for this fact is often used in restaurant decoration. On the negative side can invoke aggression and instability.

What can cause a feeling of joy, of energy and high mood? .. Nature again made the miracle by helping to shape the vulnerability of the human body and all the irritating sensation. The yellow then, causes, and is evidence of creativity, ingenuity and courage ..Even a sunny day can bring a spirit of freedom, excitement and optimism .. may sound too .. is constantly verging on reality but .. Orange emitted by the sun dissipates a positive energy and subconsciously adopted by the human body accepts this effect.

All these converge in finding a single theory: any color element of the uni-verse causes interrelated effects on living organisms living in it with vary-ing consequences .. The paints can be classified as a mysterious energy that holds strong potential for application in basic survival of mankind. We can use it in harmony with the creative power or we can use it for self-ish and selfish purposes. Awareness of this principle can lead to greater capacity for greater harmony .. Any color and a Reveal the secret .. ..

Did you ever thought about the simultaneous existence of humans and a robot in the same space? Yet something that may exist in the coming decades with a key requirement of a continu-ous evolution of technology. According to scientists involved in robotics in 2050 the rapid growth in information technology will lead to the existence of robots that are smarter than mankind. Whether this can be possible and what are the reactions? Sure enough with many positive and negative views (aspects).

The evolution of robotics in industry was in the 1990s, where we have the first appearance of the various robots. Moreover, the aim is to help people and contribute to the work. In fact the robots are nothing more than machines to communicate with humans will be able to speak, think, move and be effective in helping work of man. The use of robots found in various sectors of our lives, astronaut robot able to gather various information from space, but robots in human form with moves that are very similar to ours. Companies operating in the field of robotics is the Honda, but the Sony and NASA that focuses on issues related to space. In 1996 created the first biometric robots from stu-dent to study how fish swim in water. The first anthropomorphic robot was the P2 Honda company that was the basis for further investigations. In 1999 we have robotic dogs capable of interacting with humans as a normal pet from Sony, which is entering a dynamic market. The first models were Sold in the Japanese market.

Important year in the science of robotics is in 2000. Manufactured by constantly active Honda ro-bot that can run, walk, communicate and generally to understand all the feelings and expressions. Outside looks like an astronaut and an earlier development of robotic models of the same company. According to a survey in 2000 there were 742,500 industrial robots and most of them used only in Japan. Since then, developments in the field of human-like robots have stagnated except for the Honda continues to work actively by presenting increasingly improved versions k robots .. Current robots have the computational abilities of insect and will gradually begin to approach the intelligence of animals arriving at some point in this man.

It is obvious it will take several years to get to the point where robots are like those presented through films and books of science fiction. But can not ever do so. The fast growth but technology can not not affect the science of robotics, which, as shown by the experience so far has focused more on robots that help humans and the needs of ..
