We have always strived to be living examples of model students and female leaders in our community and at UTEP.
We feel that diversity, in all aspects, should be appreciated and accepted.

History
In the spring of 1996, the idea of Theta Nu Xi was born when one woman dreamed of something that would be a physical expression of what she felt in her heart.
Her desire to be part of a powerful and confident group of women drove her to recruit 6 other like-minded women.
The 7 of them would become the Founding Monarchs of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc.
History (cont.) At first, the Founding Monarchs were discouraged
from fulfilling their vision.
The Director of Greek Affairs expressed his concern that a new Greek organization, based on the principal of multiculturalism, would not survive at University of North Carolina.
However, the Founding Monarchs believed there was a need for such a sisterhood.
Their efforts set the stage for Theta Nu Xi's presence in the Greek, non-Greek, and surrounding communities.
History Timeline
April 11, 1997: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offi cially recognized Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority as the Alpha Chapter.
