Je m'appelle Lilou. J'ai 10 ans et j'adore lire.

J'aime aller au jardin public et m'installer sur un banc pour me plonger dans un livre.

Je lis tranquillement quand, tout à coup, j'entends un cri : « Au secours, au secours ! » Je regarde autour de moi. Je ne vois rien. Ça doit être mon imagination. Je reprends ma lecture.

« Ici, dans le livre !». Je regarde par terre et je trouve un livre ancien .Je regarde à droite et à gauche, personne ! Je le ramasse.

« Le livre magique » Quel drôle de titre! La magie, ça n'existe pas !

My name is Lilou. I’m 10 years old and I love reading.

I like to go to the public park and sit on a bench and throw myself into a book.

I’m reading peacefully when, all of a sudden, I hear a cry: “Help, help!” I look around me. I do not see anything. It must have been my imagination. I begin reading my book again.

“Here, in the book!” I look on the ground and I find an old book. I look to my left and my right, there was nobody! I pick it up.

“The magic book” Such a funny title! Magic, that doesn’t exist!

« Ouvre le livre !» Terrifiée, je lâche le livre et je m'en vais en courant.

« Reviens, n'aie pas peur, aide-moi. !»

Je m'approche à petits pas. J'ouvre le livre en me méfiant. Les pages tournent toutes seules et s'arrêtent à la page 7.

« Merci de m'avoir écouté. Toutes les personnes que j'ai croisées avant s'enfuient en courant. » dit le garçon caché derrière les mots.

« Pourquoi es-tu là? » demande Lilou.

« Le livre m'a aspiré. Je suis prisonnier. Aide-moi à sortir de là »

“Open the book!” Terrified, I throw the book and run away.

“Come back, don’t be scared, and help me!”

I creep back. Cautiously I open the book. The pages turn all by themselves and stop on page 7.

“Thank you for listening to me. Everyone that comes across me has run away” says the boy hidden behind the words.

“Why are you here?” asks Lilou.

“The book sucked me in. I am a prisoner. Help me to get out of here.”

H Λιλού μένει για λίγο άφωνη. Δεν ξέρει τι να πει. Δεν ξέρει αν όλα αυτά συμβαίνουν στα αλήθεια ή αν

ονειρεύεται. « Το βιβλίο σε κατάπιε; Και είσαι φυλακισμένος;» ρωτά η Λιλού. «Τι είσαι; Είσαι άνθρωπος ή

πνεύμα;»

«Φυσικά και είμαι άνθρωπος» απαντά το αγόρι εκνευρισμένο. « Το όνομά μου είναι Οδυσσέας και είμαι

εννέα ετών. Κατάγομαι από ένα μικρό χωριό» είπε το μικρό αγόρι και η φωνή του έτρεμε από συγκίνηση.

Τα μάτια του γέμισαν με δάκρυα.

Lilou stays speechless for a while. She doesn’t know what to say. She doesn’t know if this is all true or if it

is just a dream. “ Has the book sucked you? And are you a prisoner?” , asks Lilou. “ What

are you? Are you human or a spirit?”

“Of course I’m human” says the boy angrily . “My name is Odysseus and I’m nine

years old. I come from a small village” says the young boy and his voice was trembling with

emotion. His eyes were full of tears.

«Βάζω τα κλάματα κάθε φορά που σκέφτομαι την οικογένειά μου» συνέχισε να λέει το μικρό αγόρι.

«Σε παρακαλώ , μην κλαις» είπε η Λιλού. « Θα σε βοηθήσω! Αλλά πες μου πώς βρέθηκες εκεί μέσα;»

Το μικρό αγόρι άρχισε να διηγείται : «Αγαπώ το διάβασμα και τα βιβλία , όπως κι εσύ.

Συνήθιζα να διαβάζω με τις ώρες. Μια μέρα καθώς έπαιζα στη σοφίτα του σπιτιού

μου,….»

“Every time I think of my family , I start to cry” he continues.

“Please don’t cry” says Lilou. “I will help you! But tell me how did you get there ?”

And the little boy started his story : “I love both books and reading , like you do. I used to

spend hours and hours reading books. One day when I was playing in the attic of my

house,……”

Georgia Paloukou…βρήκα ένα σκονισμένο μπαούλο. Το άνοιξα γεμάτος περιέργεια και άρχισα να ψαχουλεύω. Μια λάμψη έβγαινε από κάτω. Ανακάτεψα τα πράγματα και βρήκα ένα βιβλίο με ξύλινο εξώφυλλο.<<Το μαγικό βιβλίο>>. Εντυπωσιάστηκα! Το κρατούσα στα χέρια μου και είδα ότι η λάμψη έβγαινε από μέσα. Το άνοιξα χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη. Είχε ωραίες εικόνες με πολλά χρώματα. Όμως οι τελευταίες σελίδες ήταν κενές. <<Τι περίεργο!>> σκέφτηκα! <<Μια ιστορία χωρίς τέλος;>> <<Οδυσσέα… το φαγητό είναι έτοιμο!>> , φώναξε η μαμά μου. << Έρχομαι σε μισό λεπτό!>> Αμέσως άρχισα το διάβασμα. Ήταν τόσο ωραία και τόσο γλυκά… δεν κατάλαβα τι έγινε… πρέπει να με πήρε ο ύπνος, γιατί όταν ξύπνησα ήμουν ήδη μέσα στο βιβλίο. …I found a dusty chest. I was very curious to see what was inside. I

opened it and I started searching. A shine was coming up from the

bottom of the chest. While I was ruffling the things that were inside I

came across a book with a wooden cover << The magic book>>.

I was impressed. I was holding it in my arms and I could see the shine

coming out. I opened it without having second thoughts. It had beautiful

colourful pictures. But the last pages were blank.

<< Weird>> I thought.

<< A story without ending ? >>

<< Odysseus… the food is ready !>> my mum shouted.

<<I am coming in a second>>

I started reading it at once. It was so nice and cute… I didn’t understand

what happened… I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up, I

had already been inside the book.

<< Και τώρα πώς μπορώ να σε βοηθήσω ;>> , ρώτησε η Λιλού. << Ξέρεις υπάρχει ένας τρόπος , ο μοναδικός τρόπος αλλά…>> << Πες μου Οδυσσέα και θα κάνω τα πάντα>>. <<Πρέπει να μπεις κι εσύ μέσα στο βιβλίο και να ψάξουμε μαζί για ¨το μαγικό μολύβι¨ που θα γράψει τις τελευταίες σελίδες του << Μαγικού βιβλίου>>, ελευθερώνοντας και τους δυο μας.>> <<Και με ποιο τρόπο θα μπω κι εγώ μέσα στο βιβλίο;>> ρώτησε η Λιλού. <<Κλείσε τα μάτια σου, άπλωσε το χέρι σου κι εγώ θα σε τραβήξω μέσα>>. <<And now how can I help you?>>, asked Lilou.

<<You know there is one way, the only way, but…>>

<< Tell me Odysseus and I’ll do anything>>

<< You must get into this book and we must search together for

the “magic pencil” that will write the last pages of the “ Magic

book” . In this way we will be both released>>.

<< And how can I get into this book? >>, Lilou asked.

<<Just close your eyes, give me your hand and I’ll pull you

inside>>

«Και πώς ξέρω ότι δε μου λες ψέματα;» ρώτησε η Λιλού.

«Δεν μπορείς να το ξέρεις! Έχε μου εμπιστοσύνη!» της απάντησε ο Οδυσσέας.

« Θα ανησυχήσουν οι γονείς μου» είπε η Λιλού.

«Μη φοβάσαι, θα τους αφήσουμε σημείωμα» την καθησύχασε ο Οδυσσέας.

Η Λιλού έγραψε το σημείωμα, το άφησε στο παγκάκι, άπλωσε το χέρι της και τη ρούφηξε το βιβλίο.

«Σε ευχαριστώ πολύ! Είσαι η καλύτερή μου φίλη!» είπε ο Οδυσσέας.

«Λοιπόν άκου! Για να βρούμε το μαγικό μολύβι θα πρέπει να ταξιδέψουμε μέχρι το Μολυβοδάσος.

Εκεί υπάρχουν πολλά μολύβια, ψηλά, χαμηλά, χοντρά, μυτερά…..

Εμείς θα πρέπει να βρούμε το ΜΑΓΙΚΟ ΜΟΛΥΒΙ , μόνο αυτό θα μας βοηθήσει να γράψουμε το τέλος της ιστορίας και να ελευθερωθούμε.» Οι δύο φίλοι ξεκίνησαν……

Καθώς περπατούσαν συνάντησαν μπροστά τους ένα γιγάντιο λαβύρινθο , ήταν ο Λαβύρινθος κρεμάλας .Δεξιά κι αριστερά υπήρχαν πανύψηλοι τοίχοι . Έπρεπε να περάσουν μέσα από το Λαβύρινθο. Στην πόρτα όμως συνάντησαν το πρώτο εμπόδιο.

Διάβασαν προσεκτικά...

“And how do I know that you are not lying?” asked Lilou.

“You can’t know! You must trust me….” answered Odysseus.

“But my parents will be worried.” said Lilou.

“Don’t be afraid! We will leave them a note.” explained Odysseus.

Lilou wrote a note to her parents and left it on the bench, then she stretched out her hand and the book sucked her in.

“Thank you very much, you are my best friend!” said Odysseus.

“Listen! To find the magic pencil we must travel to the “Pencil Forest”. There, we can find pencils which are big, short, fat and sharp… We must find the “Magic Pencil”, it will help us write the end of the story and then we will be free” said Odysseus.

The two friends set off on their journey...

While they were walking they came across a gigantic labyrinth, it was a “Hangman” labyrinth. On the left and right sides of the labyrinth there were very high walls. They had to go through the labyrinth. At the entrance they found their first obstacle. They read it carefully:

“To go through the labyrinth,

the riddle must be solved,

or beware the Minotaur will find you!”

And the riddle was…

… “o que é que custa menos de um cêntimo, vale mais do que o ouro e é fácil de

perder?”

Enquanto Lilou e Odysseus pensavam naquele enigma, do interior do labirinto surge

uma névoa misteriosa e de dentro dela surge o Minotauro, rodeado por três tigres

brancos com listas negras e com ar ameaçador! O Minotauro, tomando posição à

entrada do labirinto dirigiu-se aos dois pequenos aventureiros, dizendo:

– “Querem o lápis mágico, não é? Pois tenho uma proposta a fazer-vos. Eu levo

Lilou ao lápis mágico mas o Odysseus fica comigo.”

Os dois amigos, ainda a tremelicar, pensaram durante alguns segundos e chegaram à

conclusão que aquela proposta só poderia ser para os enganar e para os separar e, se

assim fosse, nunca mais conseguiriam sair do livro mágico. Então, encheram-se de

coragem e responderam ao Minotaurus:

– “Não! Nunca nos separaremos. A nossa amizade é mais forte do que tu!”

Quando Lilou e Odysseus disseram a palavra “amizade”, o enigma foi resolvido e o

Minotauro desapareceu na mesma névoa onde tinha aparecido, evaporou-se e só

sobraram os seus chifres caídos no chão.

O caminho do labirinto abriu-se e Lilou e Odysseus entraram confiantes. Estavam

quase a chegar ao lápis mágico quando...

… "what is that costs less than a cent, is worth more than gold and is easy to lose?"

While Lilou and Odysseus thought that enigma, from inside the labyrinth comes a

mysterious mist and inside it appears the Minotaur, surrounded by three white Tigers

with blacklists and with menacing air. The Minotaur, taking position at the entrance

of the labyrinth addressed those two little adventurers, saying:

- "You want the magic pencil, isn't it? So, I've got a proposition for you. I take Lilou

to the magic pencil but Odysseus stays with me."

The two friends, still twitching, thought for a few seconds and came to the conclusion

that that proposal could only be to cheat and to separate them and, if they were,

would never leave the magic book. Then, they were filled with courage and answered

Minotaurus:

- "No! We will never be apart. Our friendship is stronger than you!"

When Lilou and Odysseus told the word "friendship", the puzzle was solved and the

Minotaur disappeared into the same mist which had appeared, evaporated and leaves

their horns on the ground.

The path of the labyrinth was now opened and Lilou and Odysseus went in confident.

They were about to reach the magic pencil when ...

Angela SoareTocmai erau pe punctul de a atinge Creionul Magic cand … … o furtună s-a pornit şi i-a aruncat în aer. Au zburat şi au zburat şi deodată au căzut în apă. Nu mai erau în Labirint, ci pe malul unei plaje frumoase. Nisipul strălucea în soare şi apa licărea în mii de nuanţe albăstrii. Lilou şi Oddysseus au ieşit din apă şi au găsit copii jucându-se pe plajă. Aceştia erau băieţii şi fetele din clasa a III-a A de la Şcoala „Sfântul Andrei” din Mangalia. Aerul era plin de baloane în formă de inimioare.

- Ce este aceasta, întrebă Lilou. - Este sărbătoarea de Dragobete, răspunseră copiii. Este 24 Februarie şi noi sărbătorim dragostea, atunci când iarna

sărută primăvara şi apar ghioceii. Veniţi şi dansaţi cu noi! Lilou şi Oddysseus au dansat şi iar au dansat şi au fost atât de fericiţi încât nici nu au văzut că se lăsase seara. O lumină apărut din neant şi apoi a dispărut în întuneric. Lilou şi Oddysseus au descoperit un far vechi. Au intrat şi au vrut să vadă de unde venea lumina, când o voce răguşită a strigat:

- Opriţi-vă chiar acolo! M-aţi trezit şi acum veţi plăti pentru asta! O scoică bătrână a deschis ochii şi i-a privit ameninţător. - Nu puteţi atinge încă lumina, continuă scoica. Trebuie să-mi spuneţi mai întâi o poveste frumoasă, astfel încât să pot

adormi din nou. Lilou şi Oddysseus au încercat o mulţime de poveşti, dar scoica nu adormea. Băieţii şi fetele din clasa a III-a A s-au apropiat şi i-au şoptit lui Oddysseus că o femeie bătrână care locuia lângă moscheea cea veche ar putea să-i ajute.

They were about to reach the magic pencil when ...

… a sandstorm began and threw them in the air. They flew and flew and suddenly fell into the water. They were not in the Labyrinth anymore, but on the shore of a beautiful beach. The sand sparkled in the sun and the water glistened in thousands of blue hues.

Lilou and Oddysseus went out of the water and found children playing on the beach. They were Romanian boys and girls – students in the 3A grade at “Saint Andrew” School in Mangalia, Romania. The air was full of heart-like balloons.

“What is this?’ Lilou asked.

“It is DRAGOBETE, “ the children answered. ”It is the 24th of February and we celebrate the Feast of Love, when spring kisses winter and the snowdrops come to life. Come and dance with us!’

Lilou and Oddysseus danced and danced and were so happy that they barely noticed that night was coming. A light appeared out of nowhere and then disappeared again in the darkness. Lilou and Oddysseus discovered an old lighthouse. They entered and wanted to see where the light was coming from, when a husky voice shouted: “Stop right there! You woke me up and now you have to pay for it” An old shell opened its eyes and watched them menacingly.

“You cannot touch the light yet” the shell went on. “You must tell me a nice story first so I can go to sleep again!” Lilou and Oddysseus tried and tried a lot of stories but the shell wouldn’t sleep. The boys and girls in 3A grade came closer and whispered to Oddysseus that an old woman living the old Mosque could help them.

Lilou şi Oddysseus s-au dus la moscheea cea veche de 500 de ani, construită de Esmahan, nepoata sultanului Suleyman. Era o moschee atât de frumoasă!

- Vă aşteptam, spuse femeia cea bătrână. Spuneţi-i scoicii străvechi această poveste: „A fost odată ca niciodată când o fată preafrumoasă a mării albastre a văzut un tânăr frumos, care locuia lângă ţărm. S-a îndrăgostit de el şi a vrut să se căsătorească cu el. Dar tatăl ei, Zeul Mării, a descoperit acest lucru şi a trimis o furtun ă uriaşă care să măture satul. Flăcăul cel chipeş a murit. Pangalla, preafrumoasa yână a mării, a plâns şi a tot plâns şi nu a mai vrut să se întoarcă vreodată la ţărm. De atunci, acest loc se numeşte Mangalia şi această mare poartă numele de „Marea Neagră”. Câteodată mai poţi să o auzi pe fiică plângând sau cântând printre valuri şi pe tată ţipând şi aruncând furtuni.

- Ce drăguţ, şopti Lilou. Toţi copiii s-au întors la far, iar Oddysseus i-a spus scoicii celei bătrâne povestea oraşului Mangalia.

- Asta este ceea ce doream să aud, murmură scoica cea bătrână şi ochii ei s-au închis. Un cântec ciudat venea dinspre mare.

Lilou şi Oddysseus s-au apropiat de lumină, dar o furtună ciudată i-a ridicat în aer şi ei n-au mai putut să o atingă. -Lilou, prinde-mă de mână, ţipă Oddysseus. Cei doi prieteni îşi prinseră mâinile laolaltă în timp ce vântul îi absorbea înăuntru.

- Le revedere, prieteni! flutură Lilou mânuţa spre prietenii de pe plajă. - La revedere, dulce Lilou şi curajosule Oddysseus, răspunseră copiii cu lacrimi în ochi.

Lilou şi Oddysseus aterizară înapoi în Labirint. Creionul Magic era chiar acolo, în faţa lor. Oddysseus întinse mâna să-l prindă, dar ...

Lilou and Oddysseus went to the 500 years old Mosque in Mangalia, built by Suleyman’s granddaughter, Esmahan. It was so beautiful! “I was waiting for you,” the old woman said. “Tell the ancient shell this story… Once upon a time a nice daughter of the blue sea saw a young handsome boy living near the shore. She fell in love with him and wanted to marry him. But her father, the God of the Sea, found out and sent a huge storm to sweep the village. The handsome lad died. Pangalla, the beautiful sea fairy, cried and cried and didn’t want to come back to the shore again. It is since then that this place has been called ‘Mangalia’ and this sea has had the name of the ‘Black Sea’. Sometimes you can hear the daughter crying or singing among the waves and the father shouting and throwing storms” “How nice,” Lilou whispered. All the children came back to the lighthouse and Oddysseus told the old shell the story of Mangalia city. “That is what I wanted to hear…” the sleepy shell murmured and its eyes closed. A strange song was coming from the sea. Lilou and Oddysseus got closer to light but a strange storm raised them in the air and they couldn’t touch it. “Lilou, take my hand!’ Oddysseus shouted. The two friends held their hands together while the wind was swirling them in. “Good bye, friends!” Lilou waved to the kids on the beach. “Good bye, sweet Lilou and brave Oddysseus!” the kids answered with tears in their eyes. Lilou and Oddysseus landed back in the Labyrinth. The Magic Pencil was right there, in front of them. Oddysseus stretched his hand to grab it, but ….

Ana M. Valverde Cameselle…all of a sudden, a dark twisted cloud gathered around the

children and the magic pencil. Subsequently, thunderous

storms and torrential rain surrounded the children. The children

started to spin like a tornado to create a howling wind and they

found themselves transported into Great Britain in 2012

Olympic Games!

Lilou and Oddyseus could smell fresh mint from the bushes,

they could hear water gushing under bridges, birds tweeting in

the oak trees and excited people cheering. They asked a lady

with a big foam pink finger twitching like a lizard’s tail “Have you

seen the magic pencil?” and she replied in amazement “If you

want to win the magic pencil, you must register for the magic

pencil competition commencing in an hour in the Olympic

Stadium”. Immediately, Lilou and Odysseus ran to get their

competing number and to meet their opponents.

They were ready to take part in the 200 metres run. They felt

very anxious and nervous but they found their courage and

confidence back. They sprinted as quick as a flash but

unfortunately Odysseus tripped over a rubber and he fell over.

When Lilou realised that Odysseus was on the floor, she

started running even faster and Odysseus shouted “Lilou, keep

it up! You must win the pencil!”

Lilou crossed the finishing line first, only to realise that another

contender had finished at the same time.

All three of the judges decided that it was a draw and that to be

fair the pencil should be broken into two pieces and shared

between the two winners. The judges were about to break the

pencil when Lilou shouted…

„Nie przełamuj Magicznego Ołówka!”- krzyknęła Lilou. Jej przeciwnikiem jest chłopiec. Ma 11 lat. Ma na imię Simon. Simon ma blond włosy. Jest bardzo wysportowany i bardzo wysoki. Dogrywka – zawody w łucznictwie. Lilou bardzo się martwi. Wie, że musi zdobyć Magiczny Ołówek. Pierwsza runda: Lilou zdobywa 100 punktów, Simon 100. Druga runda: Lilou zdobywa 100 punktów, Simon także 100. Lilou jest bardzo szczęśliwa, bo wie że ma duże szanse na wygraną. Ostatnia – trzecia runda: Lilou jest bardzo zdenerwowana i zdobywa jedynie 20 punktów. Simon zdobył 100 punktów. Simon jest zwycięzcą i to on zdobywa Magiczny Ołówek. Odyseus i Lilou są bardzo smutni. Wiedzą, że nie wrócą już do domu. Zadecydowali że… ''Don't break the magic pencil''- Lilou shouted. Lilou's opponent is a boy. He is eleven. His name is Simon. Simon has got blond hair. He is very fit and his tall.

The play off is in anchery. Lilou is very worried. She knows that she must get the magic pencil.

The first shot: Lilou gets 100 points, Simon gets 100 The second shot-Lilou gets 100 points, Simon 100 too. Lilou is very happy that she can win. It is only the last shot and maybe she can get the magic pencil and come back home. The last-third shot: Lilou is so nervous that she gets 20 points. Simon gets 100 points.

Les deux enfants s’adressèrent à Simon : -Peux-tu nous prêter ton stylo magique s’il te plait ? -Non ! répondit Simon brutalement. - Et si nous f aisions un échange ? demandèrent les enf ants à Simon, après s’être concertés. -J e veux bien, mais contre quoi ? -Contre tout ce que tu voudras. -Alors, j ’avoue que j ’aimerais beaucoup aller à Paris. -Mais pourquoi Paris ? -Et bien…, je suis en f ait un personnage d’un tableau très célèbre qui s’y trouve et qui a inspiré un auteur très connu. Malheureusement il a écrit pour moi un triste destin. J ’aimerai beaucoup que vous réécriviez mon futur.

Arrivés dans la capitale f rançaise, Simon, Odyssée et Lilou se rendirent au Louvre, ancienne résidence royale restaurée en musée. En rentrant dans l’ancien palais, Simon guida ses amis jusqu’au f ameux tableau « La liberté guidant le peuple ». Etonnés, ses compagnons découvrirent qu’il manquait, à côté des barricades, un personnage à la droite de la Liberté.

Simon poursuivit : - Dans le tableau, je suis un jeune homme pauvre, je n’ai que des vêtements déchirés, je ne sais ni lire ni écrire, je vis dans la rue en bande avec mes amis car mes parents m’ont abandonné à la naissance. Alors je me suis enf ui du tableau car je ne voulais pas mourir comme Gavroche, abattu par les gardes nationaux. Depuis, je suis à la recherche du stylo magique et de quelqu’un pour m’aider. Mais maintenant vous êtes là !

Emus, Lilou et Odysseus décidèrent de réécrire immédiatement l’histoire de Simon. Celui-ci leur tendit alors le Magic Pencil.

En cette fi n J u i l let 1830, Simon rencon tra pour la premi ère foi s cette femme imposa n te bra n d i ssa n t le d ra pea u fra nça i s. Ce jou r - là Li berté protégea Simon sur les ba rr i ca d es. I l s a ppr i ren t peu à peu à se con n a i tre. Et un jour , Si mon dema nda à la Li ber té : -Pourra i s-tu m’a pprend re à l i re et à écr i re s’i l te pla i t ? -Pourquoi ? -Pa rce que je veux retrouver mes pa ren ts et comprend re les évènemen ts et les choses qu i m’en tou ren t. - J e te le promets, lu i répond i t la Li ber té.

Quelques a n n ées plus ta rd , on put l i re à la un e d ’un jou rna l pa r i si en « Si mon , un n ouvel a u teur fa i t la fi erté de ses pa ren ts… »

Le point final mis, Simon rentra dans le tableau tandis que Lilou et Odysseus sortirent du Magic Book. Tous allaient enfi n trouver la Liberté !

At the end of the sportive event, Simon went to the changing room ; Lilou and Odysseus joined him.

The children asked to Simon : -Could you please lend us the magic pencil, please ? -No, answered roughly Simon. -Perhaps, we could do an exchange ? proposed the children af ter consulting each other. -Why not… but against what ? -Anything you like. -All right. So I would like to go to Paris. -Why Paris ? asked Lilou and her f riend.

-Well… I am actually a character of a very f amous painting which is there and who inspired a f amous author. Unfortunately he wrote for me a very sad f ate. I would like you to help me to rewrite my future. Arrived in the French capital, Simon, Odysseus and Lilou went to the Louvre, a f ormer royal residence restored museum. Coming in the ancient palace, Simon guided his f riends to the f amous painting “Liberty leading the people”. Amazed, his helpmates discovered that next to the barricades, besides Liberty, a character was missing.

Simon continued : -I n the painting, I am a young poor man, I only have old torn clothes, I can neither read nor write, I live in the streets with my f riends because my parents abandoned me at birth. So I escaped f rom the painting because I didn’t want to die as Gavroche, killed by the national

guards. Since then, I am looking f or the Magic Pencil and f or someone to help me. But now you are here ! Aff ected, Lilou and Odysseus decided to rewrite immediately Simon’s story. He held out the Magic Pencil.

Once the final point set, Simon returned in the painting when Lilou and Odysseus came out of the Magic Book. All will fi nally find out the Liberty !
