The 2015-2016 Annual Campaign is underway! Thus far, twenty-two generous brothers pledged their support to Gamma Omicron Actives and Alumni in our efforts to maintain the alumni association, as well as provide support for further training and programming for Active Chapter leaders. Funds are used to pay for the alumni website, newsletters, and tax filings, support the Chapter in planning alumni events, and also to subsidize active member attendance at Regional Conclave meetings and the LCAHQ General Assembly. To make an investment in our Chapter's continued success, please visit msulambdachi.org and click "Support the Campaign!"

The brothers of Gamma Omicron held a philanthropy week in October to benefit the Lansing branch of Ele's Place, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating awareness and providing support for grieving children and their families. The week consisted of daily fundraising events and culminated with the Junior 500 boxcar race on M.A.C. in East Lansing.

"We were very proud of our Junior 500 week this year and are glad to support such a worthy cause," stated Kyle Cocozzo, ΓΟ 2327, Philanthropy Chairman. "Participation from Greek organizations and the East Lansing community was outstanding. It was so great to see the united support this worthy organization received."

Due to the hard work of the brothers, Gamma Omicron raised over $16,000 for Ele's Place. The brothers are already eagerly planning next year's philanthropy week. If you are interested in participating in upcoming Philanthropy events, please contact the Chapter's High Theta, Eddie Clark, ΓΟ 2336, at [email protected].

Brothers,

As the newly elected High Alpha, I am eager to help our chapter build upon the foundation of success established with the last administration. The fall 2015 semester was a period of growth for our chapter! We collectively raised over $16,000 through hosting the second annual Junior 500 philanthropy tournament in October, securing our spot among the top grossing philanthropic events on Michigan State's campus. Our programs, including GOLD Term, Judicial board and our scholastic initiative gained footing this fall and we are proud of the progress we see through these programs. In order to maintain our momentum, the chapter will implement a three-year strategic plan to achieve our goal of reaching a more advanced mission and purpose in our brotherhood.

The upcoming semester will see the return of our spring philanthropy, the Watermelon Bust! Our philanthropy committee is committed to making this event a success. The event will allow us to contribute even more to our national philanthropy, Feeding America.

Gamma Omicron will also acclimate to a new

location next year! Our chapter is looking forward to moving to 131 Bogue Street. The new atmosphere and location provides a valuable recruitment tool thanks to the proximity to campus. We will be able to remain even more involved in campus events and increase our visibility.

The active chapter would love our alumni's involvement with all of our upcoming events. If you have questions about getting more involved with our philanthropy, the chapter's mission or our new location, please contact me! I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your continued support of Gamma Omicron Chapter!

Brother Peter Owen ΓΟ 1368 first became interested in acting and radio during his time as a student at MSU. Peter found jobs doing talk radio and commercial voice-overs for the campus radio station.

"I lead late-night talk radio on the station. Many of my brothers joined me to keep me company during the odd hours of the night," Brother Owen explains. "It lead, as I am sure you can guess, to great times of comradery. I have very fond memories of this time in my life."

His experience with talk radio led to further career opportunities in Detroit, and eventually in Chicago and New York.

Brother Owen's most recent acting endeavor was "Ernie," in which he played the title character, Ernie Harwell. The hit play, by Mitch Albom, revolves around a broadcast by William "Ernie" Harwell, a sportscaster known for calling play-by-plays of Detroit Tiger MLB games for 42 years. "He was such a hallmark in Michigan sports. It was a pleasure to play Ernie and to help the audience relive that time period." The play came to MSU's Wharton Center last August, during which Peter performed five performances. While he was in Detroit performing, a few of his Lambda Chi brothers came to watch the play.

Ernie will come back to MSU this summer. If you would like to catch one of Brother Owen's performances, be sure to watch the Wharton Center's event calendar for dates.

Gamma Omicron secured a great rental property at 131 Bogue St. for the 2016-2017 school year. While the Housing Board continues to search for the perfect, permanent home for Gamma Omicron, the Bogue St house will serve as an excellent temporary substitute. Licensed for up to 35 brothers and nearly full for the first year of occupancy, the new house comes as a blessing for the chapter. The new rental is a well-located and competitive property that will help the chapter

thrive and attract strong new membership in the short term.

"I think the Bogue St property will definitely give us an edge during recruitment," explained Grant Noskey, ΓΟ 2317. "We have a good-looking property in close proximity to the campus which can house many brothers. I am really looking forward to continuing the traditions of Lambda Chi in this prime location."

Gamma Omicron held their annual alumni golf outing on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the College Fields Gold Club in Okemos, Michigan. Brothers and alumni enjoyed the chance to get together and play a friendly round of golf. To cap off the event, the chapter held a pig roast at the house after the golf tournament. The chapter looks forward to hosting the event again this fall on Sunday, October 16 during homecoming weekend. Please watch your email for details.
