College News Independence Day March St. Euphemia College welcomes all parents, caregivers

and friends to join in the Greek National Independence

Day Celebrations on Sunday, 24 March. It is expected

that Years 2 to 12 students will attend the celebrations,

wearing their summer uniform, including their hat and

blazer. No jumpers are to be worn. The uniform shop

will be open every Tuesday and Thursday between 2

00pm – 4 00pm for parents or students to purchase the

necessary uniform items.

Students who have paid to go on the buses provided by

the School need to be at school by 11 45am. All

students are to remain with the school till the end of

the celebrations, which will conclude at approximately

4 30pm.

The ceremony will begin at Martin Place, followed by a

procession along George Street and concluding with

celebrations at the Opera House.

Furthermore, this day is of religious significance as we

celebrate the Annunciation of the Theotokos. We look

forward to seeing all the families of St. Euphemia

College at Church on Sunday morning to

commemorate this important day.

Any student who is unable to attend the march must

ask for approved leave from the Principal. Failure to

attend will result in a Saturday detention.

Further details will be given to students closer to the

day.

On Monday 25 March, there will be no school. All

students are encouraged to attend church on this

significant day.

Primary News Enrolling Now for Prep 2020 If there are any existing families of our School who

would like to join our wonderful Prep class this year, or

would like to enrol their children for 2020, please

ensure the Enrolment Form is completed and lodged

with the Enrolment Officer, Ms Kiahidis at Reception,

as soon as possible.

Other Vacancies St Euphemia College has some vacancies in some other

grades as well. If you have any friends, neighbours or

relatives interested in enrolling their children, please

ask them to contact Ms Kiahidis for an Enrolment Form

or they can download it from our website. Interested

parents wishing to tour the School, can contact the

Enrolment Officer, Ms Kiahidis for an appointment

with the Primary Deputy Principal.

School Fees Thank you to all the parents/caregivers who are up to

date with their fees. A friendly reminder that Term 1

fees should already have been paid. All families are

urged to finalise their Term 1 fees as soon as possible.

Greek Dancing Payments Parents/Caregivers are asked to ensure that all Greek

dancing money is paid to the class teacher in a separate

envelope to other payments and not the School Office.

Ensure that the child’s name, class and amount is

clearly written on the front.

School Uniform Opening Hours Parents/Caregivers are advised to purchase Winter

School uniforms prior to the upcoming School holidays

in order to ensure that ordered items arrive before

Term 2 commences. The Uniform Shop will be open

during the Easter School holidays on:

Thursday 18 April – 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Saturday 20 April – 8:30am – 10:30am

School Uniform It is expected that all our students wear the correct

school uniform. As a School community, we actively

encourage our students to take pride in themselves

and their School. Students are expected to always wear

their blazers and use their school hats at recess and

lunch. As parents, you are made aware of our uniform

requirements through information in the Student

Diary, Rules and Regulations and in regular articles in

the newsletter. In December of 2018, all students

received a letter from Mr Hirakis explaining the

uniform requirements, especially regarding hair.

Please ensure that you adhere to these guidelines.

Student Banking School Banking is continuing in 2019 with the

Commonwealth Bank. The program teaches children

about the importance of saving and money

management. Students wishing to bank must bring

their bankbooks to School and hand them to their class

teacher on Wednesday morning. If you would like to

start school banking with your children, please see the

Secretaries at Reception for an account application

form. Happy saving!

Mathletics Mathletics is a program that helps students to

consolidate learning and understanding of

mathematical concepts taught in class. Students have

received their personal logins and passwords to access

Mathletics from home. The teachers have also been

setting tasks for the students to complete at home.

Please encourage your child to access Mathletics

throughout the week. This program is compulsory at

our School. All students need to pay $30 by the end of

the term, Friday 12 April. Please pay this amount to the

class teacher by the due date to allow for one year

unlimited access to the Mathletics website.



Anaphylaxis Alert There has been a rise in students diagnosed with

Anaphylaxis at our School. As a precaution and to

ensure the safety of these students, all parents are

reminded that we are a nut free school. Anaphylaxis is

a severe and sudden allergic reaction. It occurs when a

susceptible person is exposed to a specific allergen

(such as food or an insect sting). Reactions usually

begin within minutes of exposure and can progress

rapidly over a period of up to two hours. Anaphylaxis is

potentially life threatening and always requires an

emergency response.

It is very important that we safeguard these students

so that nothing happens at School which can have an

effect on their health. When packing your children’s

lunches please do not include the following foods:

peanut butter, nutella, muesli bars that contain nuts or

anything else that has traces of nuts. Please remind

students that they are not to share food with their

friends. Even the slightest contact with the sufferer’s

skin may be life threatening.

Church Attendance Church attendance is part of the School’s religious

education program and all students are expected to

attend. Any absences from Church will be recorded on

the School reports. Students must wear their summer

school uniform and assemble in the foyer of the Church

hall by 9:30am. Students attending Church with their

siblings must inform their class teacher.

Church attendance for this term is scheduled on the

following date:

National Day of Action Against Bullying &

Violence—Friday 15 March St Euphemia College has once again registered in the

campaign against Bullying in Schools. More than 1 400

schools across Australia participate in this annual event

to strengthen the existing message that bullying and

violence at school are NOT okay at any time.

On Friday 15 March, all students will take part in class

activities to reinforce the idea that bullying and

violence is not tolerated. Students will focus on ways

to create safer communication for everyone.

Harmony Day—Thursday 21 March Harmony Day is managed by the Department of

Immigration and Citizenship and coincides with the

United Nations International Day for the Elimination of

Racial Discrimination.

It is a day for all Australians to embrace cultural

diversity and to share what we have in common. This is

widely celebrated across schools, childcare centres,

community groups, churches, businesses and federal,

state and local government agencies.

The continuing message of Harmony Day is ‘Everyone

Belongs’ and ‘Our Diversity is our Strength’. On

Thursday 21 March St Euphemia College will celebrate

Harmony Day and our amazing diversity that is an

integral part of our nation’s history and character.

Students have been asked to wear the colour orange to

represent Harmony. Also on the day, Year 6 will be

holding its first fundraising event. A cake stall will be

run by the Year 6 students at recess.

25 March Performance There will be a special assembly on Monday 18 March

to commemorate Greek Independence Day. The Year 6

students will be singing songs and some students will

be presenting a PowerPoint on the importance of the

day.

Premier’s Reading Challenge The Premier’s Reading Challenge is an initiative of the

NSW State Government to encourage in students a

love of reading for leisure and pleasure and to enable

students to experience quality literature. It is not a

competition but rather a challenge to each student to

read, to read more and to read more widely.



Once again our School will encourage all students from

Kindergarten to Year 6 to participate in the challenge.

Teachers will be providing the students in their

classrooms (3-6) with a reading log. Infants classroom

teachers will complete a log of reading books read in

the classroom for all students.

Challenge kicks off Monday 4 March and closes Friday

30 August.

Infants Easter Hat Parade Parents and caregivers are invited to attend the Infants

Easter Hat Parade for Prep to Year 2 scheduled for

Thursday 11 April. The Parade will begin at 9am in the

Peter Theophilou Wing. Come along and see the

students parade their hats and enjoy a morning filled

with dances and songs. Parents are to enter through

the East Terrace entrance at approximately 8:50am.

Parent/Teacher Interviews Prep - 6

Tuesday 9 April Parent/Teacher interviews have been scheduled for

Tuesday 9 April between 3:10pm and 7:00pm. Parents

and caregivers will soon receive a note with further

instructions.

End of Term 1/Beginning of Term 2 Holy Communion for Prep to Year 6 is scheduled for

Friday 12 April. Please make all the necessary

preparations for your child to receive Holy Communion

on this day. Term 1 concludes on Friday 12 April. Term

2 for the students begins on Wednesday 1 May. The

students will have a two-week uniform transition

period. As of Week 3, Monday 13 May, all students

should be wearing their winter school uniform.

Sports News

Sport Bus/Transport Levy This term’s sports bus levy of $30 should have already

been paid to the class teacher. If the payment has not

been made, please ensure that it is paid as soon as

possible.

PSSA Competition

Training for the PSSA Summer Competition has begun.

Please note the training schedule.

Wednesdays – Senior Basketball in the School

playground. Concludes at 4:15pm.

Thursdays – Junior Basketball in the School

playground. Concludes at 4:15pm.

Thursdays – T-Ball, Softball and Cricket — Bankstown

Sports Complex (High Street Bankstown). Concludes at

4pm at the park with students returning to school by

4:15pm.

A reminder to parents to please collect their children

from the respective training sessions promptly and not

to leave siblings unattended at School during training

times. Please remind students that they are to have a

bottle of water with them at training and that they

must also have their hat.

The Summer PSSA competition will end on March 29.

Summer sport will resume again towards the end of

Term 3.

Winter tryouts will begin at the end of Term 1 ready for

the start of the Winter PSSA season in Term 2.

IPSHA Swimming Carnival The 2019 IPSHA Swimming Carnival will be held on

Tuesday 5 March at the Homebush Aquatic Centre. The

carnival will run between 8:00am–3:00pm. The bus will

be leaving school at 7:00am. Parents are welcome to

come and support our students.

Combined Greek Orthodox Swimming

Carnival The 2019 Combined Orthodox Swimming Carnival will

be hosted by our School and held on Tuesday 19 March

at Birrong Leisure and Aquatic Centre. The carnival will

run between 9:30am–2:00pm. The bus from school will

be leaving at 8:15am. Parents are welcome to attend

to help support our School.



Primary Athletics Carnival—Monday 6 May The Primary Athletics Carnival will be held at the Crest

Athletics Track on Monday 6 May at McLean Street,

Georges Hall. The students will be participating in a

variety of events such as running, long jump, high jump

and relays. All parents and caregivers are invited to

attend and cheer on our athletes, however they are

reminded that they MUST stay off the field at all times.

Students may come to school dressed in their house

colours, however students are not allowed to use

coloured zinc. Students must wear 30+ sunscreen on

the day. More information will be provided at a later

stage.

Infants Athletics Carnival— Prep to Year 2 -

Tuesday 14 May The Infants Athletics Carnival will be held on Tuesday

14 May at the Crest Athletics Track, McClean St, Bass

Hill. We invite all parents to come along and cheer on

our students on the day. Students may come to school

dressed in their house colours or wear their sports top.

Students will be notified about their house colours.

More information will be provided at a later stage.

Incursions

Year 3 On Wednesday 27 March, Year 3 will be participating

in an incursion in the School Hall. The incursion is a

Stem based program focusing on ‘What is a Force?’

looking at friction to gravity and everything in between

through fun and interactive activities. The cost of the

incursion is $17 and payable to the class teacher by

Friday 22 March. No refunds will be issued, as the

incursion requires repayment. Students are to wear

their summer sport uniform and bring recess and lunch

as usual.

Excursions

Kindergarten On Wednesday 3 April, Kindergarten will be attending

an excursion to Sydney Olympic Park as part of their

Geography topic titled, ‘My Special Places’. Students

will be given the opportunity to explore Sydney's

largest outdoor classroom to learn about the

environment and plants and animals that live here. This

excursion explores the Park’s special features to help

students understand the concept of ‘environment’.

More information regarding cost will be handed out

closer to the date.

Year 1 On Friday 5 April, Year 1 will be attending an excursion

to the Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre. The

students will take part in a variety of art activities. The

cost of the excursion is $40. Please put the money in a

sealed envelope with your child’s name and class on

the front and hand it to your child’s class teacher by

Friday 29 March. Students will need to bring their own

packed recess, lunch and a water bottle in a small

backpack. Students are to wear their summer sports

uniform including their hat. They must also bring a

water bottle and their own art smock. In the event of

wet weather the excursion will proceed as planned.

Year 2 On Wednesday 3 April, Year 2 will be attending an

excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens as part of their

Science unit, titled ‘Watch it Grow’. The cost of the

excursion is $45. Please place the money in a sealed

envelope with your child’s name and class on the front

and hand it to your child’s class teacher by Friday 29

March. In the event of wet weather, the students are

to wear a raincoat as the excursion will proceed as

planned. Please note that no refunds will be given, as

admission will be paid prior to the date of the

excursion.

Year 4 On Thursday 4 April, Year 4 will be attending an

excursion to Kamay Botany Bay National Park as part of

their HSIE unit titled, ‘First Contacts’. The cost of the

excursion is $35. Please put the money in a sealed


and hand it to your child’s class teacher by Friday 22

March. Students will need to bring their own packed

recess, lunch and water bottle in a small backpack.

Students are to wear their summer sports uniform



including their hat. In the event of wet weather, the

excursion will be cancelled.

Year 5 On Tuesday 2 April, Year 5 will be attending an

excursion to Nan Tien Temple as part of their HSIE unit

titled, ‘Stories Around the World’. The cost of the

excursion is $35. Please place the money in a sealed


and hand it to your child’s class teacher by Tuesday 26

March. Students will need to bring their own packed

recess and water bottle in a small backpack. (Lunch will

be provided). Students are to wear their summer

sports uniform including their hat. In the event of wet

weather, the students are to wear a raincoat as the

excursion will proceed as planned. Please note that no

refunds will be given, as admission will be paid prior to

the date of the excursion.

Year 6 On Tuesday 2 April, Year 6 will be attending an

excursion to Echo Point and Scenic World in Katoomba

as part of their Science and HSIE units. They will be

learning about rock formations, landforms and

theories of Continental Drift. The cost of the excursion

is $50. Please place the money in a sealed envelope

with your child’s name and class on the front and hand

it to your child’s class teacher by Monday 18 March.

Students will need to bring their own packed recess,

lunch and water bottle in a small backpack. Students

need to be at school by 7:00am for a 7:15am departure

and will be returning at approximately 4:00pm. In the

event of heavy rain, the excursion will be rescheduled.



High School News Year 7 Parent/Teacher Night Parents and caregivers of Year 7 students are invited to

attend the Parent/Teacher Evening interviews that will

be held on Thursday, 7 March between 3 30 and 6 30

pm.

This is an excellent opportunity for parents and

caregivers of Year 7 to meet their children’s teachers

and discuss their progress.

Students will receive a booking sheet and are required

to book appointments with their teachers.

HSC Dux Honour On Monday 11 February, at the regular school

assembly, students witnessed Christos Xenophontos

(Year 12 2018) receive a $3 000 scholarship towards his

tertiary education from an anonymous benefactor of

the St Euphemia community. Christos was the Dux of

the Higher School Certificate and the whole

community wish him all the best in his future

endeavours.

Sports Report

House Captains At St Euphemia College, House Captains work together

to enable all students to strive for excellence, and

experience success for themselves and as a part of a

team. House Captains are members of the leadership

team, and they play an integral role in supporting and

motivating their peers to participate in various sporting

activities.

Congratulations to the following Year 12 students who

have been appointed this role.

Swimming Carnival The annual Swimming Carnival will take place at

Birrong Leisure Centre on Friday, 1 March 2019. Be

sure to stay hydrated and sun wise on the day.

The Sports Captains for each house have been selected

and they have already promoted enthusiasm and

support for each house at a house meeting in

preparation for the Swimming Carnival.



Vasos Kartambis, Year 10

During the school holidays, Vasos Kartambis (Year 10)

competed at the National Futsal Competition as the

goal keeper for the NSW Lightning team. Of the 8

teams from across Australia, Vasos’ team finished as

premiers in their league allowing them to compete in

the semi-finals. Despite NSW Lightning’s best effort,

they did not win the semi-finals game. Congratulations

Vasos!

Sports Levy. All students received notices about sport for 2019.

Students will not be able to commence sport on

Tuesday if they have not returned the signed

permission note and the Sports Levy paid.

Year 7 Peer Support Camp

Camp was one of the most exciting experiences that I

have ever had, as many of my peers have agreed. From

the Flying Fox to learning how to use a bow and arrow

it was thrilling.

On the first day, after our long bus trip, we got stuck

into activities, where kayaking was one of the amazing

experiences. With the help of our peer support leaders

we faced challenges and go to know better other

students. However, time flies very quickly and before

we knew it, day two quickly arrived!

We woke up to something loud and definitely

obnoxious. AIR HORNS! Our resourceful peer support

leaders decided to blow air horns to wake us up. After

we got dressed and had our delicious and spectacular

breakfast meal, we started our second day of activities.

I think the mud run should be noted here because

wow, that was eventful. On the second night, we

played some games, told stories by the camp fire and

eventually snoozed the night away.

The day we had to leave was the most disappointing

one. WE DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE! We were desperate

not to go and begged our teachers to stay. Obviously

we couldn’t, but it was worth a try. The Giant Swing on

that fateful last day was absolutely amazing! Flying in

the air, feeling like a bird! One snow cone later and we

were already seeing our instructors wave to us from

the bus window. It was time for a farewell and what a

farewell it was. If I had to take anything back, I

wouldn’t, it was such a wonderful trip with no regrets!

Year 7 camp was the best camp. Thank you to Mr

Verghios, the teachers and peer support leaders for

creating such a wonderful experience.

SRC NEWS The Prefect Body of 2019 would like to welcome the

College community back to a wonderful and exciting

new year. We endeavour to contribute to and

participate in the enhancement and improvement of

The College and the school experience of all students.

We would like to keep the community informed on all

initiatives and activities of the Prefect Body throughout

the year in the monthly issue of the College Newsletter

So, what are we up to this month?

Exploring options for a new filtration system for

the high school students in order to access and

obtain a convenient fresh water supply

Rostering Prefect meetings

Organising rosters for monitoring school

grounds to ensure safety and order are

maintained

Discussing options to improve school

bathrooms

Brainstorming ideas for upcoming mufti and

fundraising days

Educating students on the effects and

consequences of bullying within the College. 1

in 4 Australian students are bullied. St

Euphemia College will be an exception to this

statistic. By facilitating a positive school

environment, the Prefect Body aims to make

this initiative a reality. We are working

alongside staff members to ensure bullying is

not an occurrence in our College, via

monitoring school grounds, increasing bullying

campaigns in the form of education and anti-

bullying posters. As you may be aware, Cyber-

bullying has now been made illegal through

recent state and federal laws. Anyone within

Australia is now able to report any form of

Cyber-bullying to law enforcement for

investigation. Hence, here at the College, we

aim to prevent any form of bullying.

Last but not least, a clean environment will be

promoted through posters aiming to ensure

students keep the College grounds clean

We endeavour to both uphold our duties and to

improve the issues mentioned above. We hope

Τα Νεα Της Αγιας Ευφημιας Παρέλαση για τον εορτασμό της

Επανάστασης της 25ης Μαρτίου 1821 Το Κολλέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας παροτρύνει τη

συμμετοχή των γονέων, κηδεμόνων και φίλων στον

εορτασμό της επετείου της Επανάστασης του 1821,

την Κυριακή στις 24 Μαρτίου. Η συμμετοχή των

μαθητών της Β’ Δημοτικού - Γ’ Λυκείου είναι

υποχρεωτική .Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την

καλοκαιρινή τους σχολική στολή μαζί με το σακάκι και

το καπέλο τους. Δεν επιτρέπονται οι μπλούζες. Το

μαγαζί που πουλάει σχολικά είδη θα είναι ανοιχτό

κάθε Τρίτη και Πέμπτη, μεταξύ 2:00μμ – 4:00μμ για

όσους γονείς ή μαθητές χρειάζονται να αγοράσουν τα

απαραίτητα είδη της σχολικής στολής. Οι μαθητές που

έχουν πληρώσει για να πάνε με τα λεωφορεία του

Σχολείου, θα πρέπει να παραβρίσκονται στο σχολείο

έως της 11:45πμ. Όλοι οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να

παραμείνουν με το σχολείο μέχρι το τέλος των

εορτασμών, δηλαδή έως τις 4:30 περίπου.

Η τελετή της επετείου θα ξεκινήσει στο Martin Place,

θα συνεχίσει με την παρέλαση των μαθητών στο

George Street και θα καταλήξει με τους εορτασμούς

στο Opera House.

Βέβαια δεν πρέπει να ξεχνάμε ότι η μέρα αυτή έχει και

Θρησκευτική σημασία, καθώς γιορτάζουμε τον

Ευαγγελισμό της Θεοτόκου. Ενθαρρύνουμε όλες τις

οικογένειες να παραβρεθούν στην Εκκλησία της Αγίας

Ευφημίας την Κυριακή το πρωί για να γιορτάσουμε τη

σημαντική αυτή γιορτή. Όποιος μαθητής δεν μπορεί

να συμμετέχει στην παρέλαση, θα πρέπει να ζητήσει

άδεια από το Διευθυντή. Όποιος δε θα συμμετέχει

στην παρέλαση, θα τιμωρηθεί το Σάββατο. Περεταίρω

πληροφορίες θα δοθούν στους μαθητές αργότερα.

Τη Δευτέρα 25 Μαρτίου έχουμε σχολική αργία.

Ενθαρρύνουμε τους μαθητές να λάβουν μέρος στην

εκκλησιαστική λειτουργία τη σημαντική αυτή ημέρα.



Τα Νέα του Δημοτικού Εγγραφές Προνήπιου 2020 Υπενθυμίζουμε τους γονείς των οποίων τα παιδιά θα

πάνε στο Προνήπιο το 2020 να βεβαιωθούν ότι έχουν

γράψει τα παιδιά τους. Αν δεν έχει γίνει η εγγραφή θα

πρέπει να συμπληρωθεί η αίτηση εγγραφής και να

επιστραφεί στη κα Κιαχίδης το συντομότερο δυνατό.

Νέες Εγγραφές άλλων τάξεων Υπάρχουν ακόμη μερικές θέσεις και στις άλλες τάξεις

του Δημοτικού. Όσοι γονείς έχουν φίλους, γείτονες ή

συγγενείς που ενδιαφέρονται να γράψουν τα παιδιά

τους στις τάξεις αυτές μπορούν να επικοινωνήσουν με

τη Γραμματεία του Δημοτικού Σχολείου την κα

Κιαχίδης ή να βρουν την αίτηση εγγραφής από το

διαδίκτυο. Όσοι γονείς επιθυμούν ξενάγηση στο

σχολείο με την Υπεύθυνη του Δημοτικού Σχολείου

μπορούν να αποταθούν στη Γραμματεία του

Δημοτικού Σχολείου.

Σχολικά Δίδακτρα Ευχαριστούμε όλους τους γονείς που πλήρωσαν τα

σχολικά δίδακτρα του Α΄ τριμήνου 2019. Τα δίδακτρα

θα πρέπει να πληρώνονται πριν την έναρξη κάθε

τριμήνου. Για όσους δεν έχουν πληρώσει ακόμη τα

δίδακτρα του Α΄ τριμήνου, παρακαλούμε να τα

πληρώσουν το συντομότερο δυνατό.

Δίδακτρα Ελληνικού Χορού Υπενθυμίζουμε τους γονείς και κηδεμόνες ότι θα

πρέπει να βάζουν τα δίδακτρα ελληνικού χορού σε ένα

ξεχωριστό φάκελο όπου θα αναγράφεται από έξω

καθαρά το όνομα του μαθητή και το ποσό των

διδάκτρων πριν το παραδώσουν στη δασκάλα της

τάξης και όχι στη Σχολική Γραμματεία.

Ώρες Λειτουργίας του Μαγαζιού Σχολικών Στολών

Συμβουλεύουμε τους γονείς να αγοράζουν τη

Χειμερινή Σχολική Στολή πριν την έναρξη των

διακοπών ώστε να βεβαιωθούν ότι η παραγγελία τους

Σχολική Στολή Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν τη σωστή σχολική

σχολή. Ως σχολική κοινότητα ενθαρρύνουμε τους

μαθητές μας να νιώθουν υπερήφανοι για την

εμφάνισή τους και το σχολείο τους. Οι μαθητές θα

πρέπει πάντα να φορούν το σχολικό σακάκι τους και

το καπέλο τους στα διαλείμματα. Για το πετύχουμε

αυτό, οι γονείς θα πρέπει ακολουθούν τους

κανονισμούς σχετικά με τη σωστή σχολική στολή,

όπως αναφέρεται στο Σχολικό Ημερολόγιο καθώς και

σε άρθρα της σχολικής εφημερίδας.

To Δεκέμβριο του 2018, όλοι οι μαθητές έλαβαν

σημείωμα από τον κ. Χειράκη, αναφορικά με τη σωστή

σχολική στολή, καθώς το πώς θα πρέπει να είναι τα

μαλλιά των μαθητών. Παρακαλώ να ακολουθήσετε τις

οδηγίες αυτές.

Σχολική Αποταμίευση Συνεχίζουμε και φέτος το σχολικό πρόγραμμα

αποταμίευσης της τράπεζας Commonwealth, το οποίο

θα βοηθήσει τους μαθητές να κατανοήσουν καλύτερα

τη σημασία της αποταμίευσης. Όσοι μαθητές θέλουν

να αποταμιεύσουν χρήματα θα πρέπει να φέρνουν το

βιβλιάριο καταθέσεων στις δασκάλες τους την

Τετάρτη το πρωί. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε για την αίτηση

αποταμίευσης για τα παιδιά σας, παρακαλώ να

αποταθείτε στη Γραμματεία. Καλή αποταμίευση!

Πρόγραμμα Mathletics Το πρόγραμμα Mathletics αποδείχτηκε πολύ χρήσιμο

για την κατανόηση και εμπέδωση των μαθηματικών

στο Σχολείο μας. Οι μαθητές έχουν πάρει τους

κωδικούς πρόσβασης στο Mathletics ώστε να το



δουλεύουν στο σπίτι. Οι δασκάλες έχουν αναθέσει

στους μαθητές κάποιες ασκήσεις που θα

συμπληρωθούν στο σπίτι. Παρακαλούμε να

ενθαρρύνετε τα παιδιά σας να συμπληρώνουν να

συμμετέχουν στο Mathletics κάθε εβδομάδα. Το

πρόγραμμα αυτό είναι υποχρεωτικό στο Σχολείο μας.

Το κόστος του προγράμματος είναι 30 δολάρια και θα

πρέπει να πληρωθεί στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως την

Παρασκευή 12 Απριλίου. Παρακαλώ να πληρωθεί το

ποσό αυτό στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως την

ημερομηνία αυτή ώστε οι μαθητές να έχουν

απεριόριστη πρόσβαση στην ιστοσελίδα του

Mathletics για ένα χρόνο.

Αναφυλαξία Στο Σχολείο μας έχουμε αρκετά παιδιά που πάσχουν

από αναφυλαξία. Υπενθυμίζουμε τους γονείς ότι στο

Σχολείο μας δεν επιτρέπονται οι ξηροί καρποί για

λόγους ασφαλείας όλων των μαθητών. Η αναφυλαξία

είναι μια ξαφνική αλλεργική κρίση του οργανισμού.

Συμβαίνει αν κάποιος με προδιάθεση για αναφυλαξία

έρχεται σε επαφή με διάφορες τροφές που προκαλούν

αλλεργία ή αν τσιμπηθεί από έντομο. Η κρίση μπορεί

να εκδηλωθεί μετά από μερικά λεπτά και να κρατήσει

ως και δύο ώρες. Μια αναφυλακτική κρίση μπορεί να

αποβεί θανατηφόρα αν δεν αντιμετωπιστεί έγκαιρα.

Καταλαβαίνετε λοιπόν πως πρέπει να προφυλάξουμε

τους μαθητές αυτούς. Παρακαλώ να μη δίνεται στα

παιδιά σας κρέμα φιστικιού (peanut butter), nutella,

παστέλια με ξηρούς καρπούς (muesli bars) ή όποια

άλλη τροφή περιέχει ξηρούς καρπούς. Υπενθυμίζουμε

τους μαθητές πως δε θα πρέπει να μοιράζονται το

φαγητό τους με άλλα παιδιά. Ακόμη και η επαφή

κάποιου ξηρού καρπού στο δέρμα ενός παιδιού με

αναφυλαξία μπορεί να αποβεί μοιραία.

Εκκλησιασμός

Ο εκκλησιασμός είναι μέρος του προγράμματος των

Θρησκευτικών, και όλοι οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να

πάρουν μέρος στον εκκλησιασμό. Τυχόν απουσίες θα

σημειωθούν στο Σχολικό Έλεγχο. Ο επόμενος

εκκλησιασμός για τους μαθητές της Γ΄ και Δ΄

Δημοτικού έχει προγραμματιστεί για την Κυριακή 3

Μαρτίου. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την

καλοκαιρινή σχολική τους στολή και να βρίσκονται στο

Χολ της εκκλησίας στις 9.30πμ. Όσοι μαθητές θα

εκκλησιαστούν με τα αδέρφια τους την ίδια μέρα, θα

πρέπει να ενημερώσουν τη δασκάλα της τάξης τους.

Εθνική Ημέρα Κατά της Βίας – Παρασκευή 15

Μαρτίου Το Κολλέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας έχει πάρει μέρος

στην καμπάνια κατά της Σχολικής Βίας φέτος σαν ένα

νέο κίνητρο. Πάνω από 1400 σχολεία της Αυστραλίας

παίρνουν μέρος σε αυτή την καμπάνια για να δείξουν

ότι ΔΕ ΘΑ ΠΡΕΠΕΙ ΠΟΤΕ να ανεχόμαστε τη βία.

Την Παρασκευή 15 Μαρτίου, όλοι οι μαθητές του

Δημοτικού θα πάρουν μέρος σε διάφορες

δραστηριότητες που ενισχύουν και εμπεδώνουν το

μήνυμα ότι ποτέ δεν πρέπει να ανεχόμαστε τη βία. Οι

μαθητές θα επικεντρωθούν σε ασφαλέστερους

τρόπους επικοινωνίας στις διαπροσωπικές τους

σχέσεις.

Ημέρα Αρμονίας– Πέμπτη 21 Μαρτίου Η Ημέρα Αρμονίας καθιερώθηκε από το Υπουργείο

Μετανάστευσης και Ιθαγένειας και συμπίπτει με την

Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών για την

Πάταξη Φυλετικών Διακρίσεων. Είναι ημέρα

πολιτισμικού σεβασμού που γιορτάζουν όλα τα

σχολεία, οι παιδικοί σταθμοί, οι κοινότητες, οι

εκκλησίες, οι επιχειρήσεις καθώς και οι

ομοσπονδιακές, πολιτειακές και τοπικές αρχές. Το

μήνυμα της Ημέρας Αρμονίας είναι: «Όλοι Ανήκουμε

Κάπου» και «Η Πολυπολιτισμικότητα είναι η Δύναμή

μας».

Την Πέμπτη 21 Μαρτίου, το Κολλέγιο της Αγίας

Ευφημίας θα γιορτάσει τον πολυπολιτισμικό

χαρακτήρα της χώρας μας. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να

φορούν πορτοκαλί ρούχα που αντιπροσωπεύουν την

Αρμονία. Επίσης, την ημέρα αυτή οι μαθητές της Στ΄

Δημοτικού θα κάνουν έρανο πουλώντας κέικ στη

διάρκεια του πρωινού διαλείμματος.



Παρουσίαση για την επέτειο της 25ης

Μαρτίου Τη Δευτέρα 18 Μαρτίου σας προσκαλούμε να

παραβρεθείτε στην παρουσίαση των μαθητών της Στ΄

Δημοτικού που θα παρουσιάσουν τραγούδια και μία

παρουσίαση PowerPoint για τη σημασία της επετείου

της 25ης Μαρτίου 1821.

Η «Πρόκληση Ανάγνωσης» Πρωθυπουργού Η «Πρόκληση Ανάγνωσης» του Πρωθυπουργού

αποτελεί μια πρωτοβουλία της Ομοσπονδιακής

Κυβέρνησης της Νέας Νότιας Ουαλίας που ενθαρρύνει

τα παιδιά του Δημοτικού να αγαπήσουν το διάβασμα

και να βιώσουν την αξία της λογοτεχνίας. Είναι μία

πρόκληση για να διαβάσουν τα παιδιά όσο τα δυνατόν

περισσότερο.

Για άλλη μια χρονιά το Σχολείο μας θα προτρέψει τους

μαθητές από το Νηπιαγωγείο έως και την Στ’

Δημοτικού να συμμετέχει στην πρόκληση αυτή. Οι

δασκάλες της Γ’ – Στ’ Δημοτικού θα προμηθεύσουν

τους μαθητές με το βιβλιαράκι συμμετοχής για να

προσθέσουν τα βιβλία τους στο διαδίκτυο. Για τους

μαθητές του Νηπιαγωγείου-Β’ Δημοτικού, η δασκάλες

θα συμπληρώνουν το βιβλιαράκι συμμετοχής μέσα

στην τάξη.

Η Πρόκληση αρχίζει τη Δευτέρα 4 Μαρτίου και

τελειώνει την Παρασκευή 30 Αυγούστου.

Επίδειξη Πασχαλινών Καπέλων Την Πέμπτη 11 Μαρτίου οι μαθητές του Προνήπιου -

Β΄ Δημοτικού θα πάρουν μέρος σε επίδειξη

πασχαλινών καπέλων. Γονείς και φίλοι προσκαλούνται

να παρακολουθήσουν την επίδειξη που θα λάβει χώρα

στην καινούργια Αίθουσα Θεοφίλου στις 9:00πμ.

Ελάτε να χαρείτε μαζί μας μια ατμόσφαιρα γεμάτη

χορό και τραγούδι. Οι γονείς μπορούν να έρθουν στην

καινούργια αίθουσα τελετών από την είσοδο της οδού

East Terrace στις 8:50πμ περίπου.

Συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Δασκάλων Προνήπιο-Στ’ Δημοτικού –Τρίτη 9 Απριλίου

Οι Συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Δασκάλων θα λάβουν χώρα

την Τρίτη 9 Απριλίου μεταξύ 3.10μμ και 7.00μμ.

Περισσότερες πληροφορίες θα περιλαμβάνονται στο

σημείωμα που θα σταλεί στο σπίτι σύντομα.

Τέλος Α΄ Τριμήνου/Αρχή Β΄ Τριμήνου Το Α΄ Τρίμηνο τελειώνει την Παρασκευή 12 Απριλίου.

Την οι μαθητές θα λάβουν τη Θεία Κοινωνία.

Παρακαλώ να βεβαιωθείτε ότι τα παιδιά σας θα είναι

προετοιμασμένα κατάλληλα. Το Β΄ Τρίμηνο θα

αρχίσει την Τετάρτη 1η Μαΐου. Οι μαθητές θα έχουν 2

εβδομάδες προσαρμογής της σχολική στολής. Από την

3η εβδομάδα, τη Δευτέρα 13 Μαΐου, όλοι οι μαθητές

θα πρέπει να φορούν τη χειμερινή τους σχολική

στολή.

Αθλητικά Νέα………

Σπόρ- Χρηματικό ποσό εξόδων Μεταφοράς Σας υπενθυμίζουμε ότι το ποσό εξόδων μεταφοράς

είναι 30 δολάρια για το σπορ του Α΄ Τριμήνου και θα

πρέπει να έχει πληρωθεί ήδη στη δασκάλα της τάξης.

Παρακαλούμε τους γονείς που δεν έχουν πληρώσει το

ποσό αυτό ακόμη να το κάνουν το συντομότερο

δυνατό.

Διασχολικοί Αθλητικοί Αγώνες PSSA

Η προπόνηση για τους θερινούς διασχολικούς

αθλητικούς αγώνες έχει ξεκινήσει. Το πρόγραμμα των

προπονήσεων των θερινών διασχολικών αθλητικών

αγώνων έχει ως εξής:

Τετάρτη – Senior Μπάσκετμπολ – 3: 10 στο προαύλιο

του σχολείου. Τελειώνει στις 4.15μμ.

Πέμπτη – Junior Μπάσκετμπολ – 3:10 στο προαύλιο

του σχολείου. Τελειώνει στις 4.15μμ.

Πέμπτη – Τίμπολ, Σόφτμπολ και Κρίκετ – στο

Bankstown Sports Complex (High Street Bankstown).

Tελειώνει στις 4.00μμ. Το λεωφορείο θα αποχωρήσει

από εκεί στις 4.05, και θα επιστρέψει στο σχολείο στις

4.15μμ περίπου.

Υπενθυμίζουμε τους γονείς να παίρνουν τα παιδιά

τους αμέσως μετά την προπόνηση και να μην αφήνουν

τα αδέρφια των μαθητών μόνα τους κατά τη διάρκεια



της προπόνησης. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να έχουν ένα

ακόμη μπουκάλι νερό κατά την διάρκεια των

προπονήσεων. Επίσης, θα πρέπει να φορούν τα

σχολικά τους καπέλα.

Οι Θερινοί Αγώνες PSSA τελειώνουν στις 29 Mαρτίου.

Οι Θερινοί Αγώνες θα ξαναρχίσουν στο τέλος του Γ’

Τριμήνου.

Οι δοκιμαστικοί για τους χειμερινούς αγώνες αρχίζουν

στο τέλος του Α’ Τριμήνου, ώστε να είμαστε έτοιμοι

για την έναρξη των Χειμερινών Αγώνων στο Β’

Τρίμηνο.

Αγώνες κολύμβησης IPSHA Την Τρίτη 5 Μαρτίου θα λάβουν χώρα οι Αγώνες

Κολύμβησης IPSHA στο Homebush Aquatic Centre από

τις 8.00πμ έως τις 3.00μμ. Το λεωφορείο θα

αναχωρήσει από το σχολείο στις 7:00πμ. Όλοι οι

γονείς είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν και να

υποστηρίξουν τους κολυμβητές.

Αθλητικοί Αγώνες Προνήπιου - Β΄ Δημοτικού

– Τρίτη 14 Μαΐου Οι αθλητικοί αγώνες του Νηπιαγωγείου-Β’ Δημοτικού

θα λάβουν χώρα τη Δευτέρα 8 Μαΐου στο Crest

Athletics Track, McLean Street, Bass Hill. Όλοι οι γονείς

είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν και να

υποστηρίξουν τους μαθητές μας. Οι μαθητές θα

πρέπει να φορούν τα χρώματα της ομάδας τους ή το

σχολικό αθλητικό μπλουζάκι. Περισσότερες

πληροφορίες θα δοθούν αργότερα.

Αγώνες κολύμβησης Ελληνορθόδοξων

Κολλεγίων Φέτος το Κολλέγιο μας θα οργανώσει τους αγώνες

κολύμβησης Ελληνορθόδοξων Κολλεγίων. Οι αγώνες

θα λάβουν χώρα τη Τρίτη 19 Μαρτίου στο Birrong

Leisure and Aquatic Centre. Οι αγώνες αρχίζουν στις

9:30πμ και τελειώνουν στις 2:00μμ. Το λεωφορείο θα

αναχωρήσει από το σχολείο στις 8:15πμ. Όλοι οι

γονείς είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν και να

υποστηρίξουν το Σχολείο μας.

Αθλητικοί Αγώνες Γ΄ - Στ΄ Δημοτικού –

Δευτέρα 6 Μαΐου Οι αθλητικοί αγώνες της Γ΄ - Στ΄ Δημοτικού θα λάβουν

χώρα τη Δευτέρα 6 Μαΐου στο Crest Athletics Track,

McLean Street, Georges Hall. Οι μαθητές θα πάρουν

μέρος σε διάφορους αθλητικούς αγώνες όπως αγώνας

δρόμου, άλμα εις μήκος, άλμα εις ύψος, και

σκυταλοδρομία. Όλοι οι γονείς είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να

παραβρεθούν και να υποστηρίξουν τους αθλητές μας

ωστόσο θα ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να μείνουν μακριά από το γήπεδο

καθόλη τη διάρκεια των αγώνων. Οι μαθητές μπορούν

να φορούν τα χρώματα της ομάδας τους, ωστόσο δεν

επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποιήσουν χρωματιστό

αντηλιακό (zinc). Τη μέρα αυτή όλοι οι μαθητές θα

πρέπει να φορούν αντηλιακό με δείκτη προστασίας

30+. Περισσότερες πληροφορίες θα δοθούν αργότερα.

Αθλητικοί Αγώνες Νηπιαγωγείο-Β΄

Δημοτικού – Δευτέρα 7 Μαΐου Οι αθλητικοί αγώνες του Νηπιαγωγείου-Β΄ Δημοτικού

θα λάβουν χώρα τη Δευτέρα 7 Μαΐου στο Crest

Athletics Track, McClean St, Bass Hill. Όλοι οι γονείς

είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν και να

υποστηρίξουν τους αθλητές μας. Περισσότερες

πληροφορίες θα δοθούν αργότερα. Το κόστος για τους

αγώνες είναι 15 δολάρια που συμπεριλαμβάνει τα

έξοδα μεταφοράς, ένα λουκάνικο και χυμό.

Σχολικές Παραστάσεις

Γ’ Δημοτικού Την Τετάρτη 27 Μαρτίου η Γ’ Δημοτικού θα πάρει

μέρος σε μια παράσταση στην αίθουσα τελετών του

σχολείου. Η παράσταση αυτή βασίζεται σε ένα

πρόγραμμα που επικεντρώνεται στο ερώτημα «Τι

είναι κινητήρια Δύναμη» και εξετάζει την τριβή και τη

βαρύτητα μέσα από ευχάριστες διαδραστικές

δραστηριότητες. Το κόστος της εκδρομής είναι 17

δολάρια και πρέπει να δοθεί στη δασκάλα της τάξης

έως την Παρασκευή 22 Μαρτίου. Σημειώνουμε πως δε

θα επιστραφούν τα χρήματα της παράστασης, καθώς

θα πρέπει να πληρωθεί εκ των προτέρων. Οι μαθητές

θα πρέπει να φορούν την πλήρη καλοκαιρινή αθλητική



τους στολή μαζί με το καπέλο τους και να έχουν μαζί

τους πρωινό και μεσημεριανό ως συνήθως.

Σχολικές Εκδρομές

Νηπιαγωγείο Την Τετάρτη 3 Απριλίου το Νηπιαγωγείο θα

επισκεφθεί το Sydney Olympic Park στα πλαίσια της

ενότητας της Γεωγραφίας με τίτλο «Τα Αγαπημένα

Μου Μέρη». Η εκδρομή αυτή εξετάζει την έννοια του

‘Περιβάλλοντος’ καθώς και όλα τα ζώα ή φυτά που

ζουν σε αυτό. Περαιτέρω πληροφορίες σχετικά με το

κόστος της εκδρομής θα δοθούν στους μαθητές

αργότερα.

Α΄ Δημοτικού Την Παρασκευή 5 Απριλίου η Α΄ Δημοτικού θα

επισκεφθεί το Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts

Centre. Οι μαθητές θα πάρουν μέρος σε διάφορες

καλλιτεχνικές δραστηριότητες. Το κόστος της

εκδρομής είναι 40 δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να βάλετε τα

χρήματα αυτά σε ένα φάκελο όπου θα αναγράφεται

το όνομα του παιδιού σας και να το παραδώσετε στη

δασκάλα της τάξης έως την Παρασκευή 29 Μαρτίου.

Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την πλήρη

καλοκαιρινή αθλητική τους στολή μαζί με το καπέλο

τους και να έχουν μαζί τους πρωινό, μεσημεριανό, ένα

μπουκάλι νερό και μία πουκαμίσα ζωγραφικής. Σε

περίπτωση βροχής, η εκδρομή θα πραγματοποιηθεί.

Β΄ Δημοτικού Την Τετάρτη 3 Απριλίου η Β΄ Δημοτικού θα επισκεφθεί

το Royal Botanical Gardens. Οι μαθητές θα πάρουν

μέρος σε διάφορες εκδηλώσεις στα πλαίσια των

μαθημάτων της Φυσικής με τίτλο: «Βλέπω και

μεγαλώνω». Το κόστος της εκδρομής είναι 45

δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να βάλετε τα χρήματα αυτά σε

ένα φάκελο όπου θα αναγράφεται το όνομα του

παιδιού σας και να το παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της

τάξης έως την Παρασκευή 29 Μαρτίου 2019. Σε

περίπτωση βροχής, η εκδρομή θα πραγματοποιηθεί

όπως έχει σχεδιαστεί και οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να

φέρουν αδιάβροχο. Σημειώνουμε πως δε θα

επιστραφούν τα χρήματα της εκδρομής καθώς η

είσοδος της εκδρομής θα πρέπει να πληρωθεί εκ των

προτέρων.

Δ΄ Δημοτικού Την Πέμπτη 4 Απριλίου η Δ΄ Δημοτικού θα επισκεφθεί

το Kamay Botany Bay National Park στα πλαίσια της

ενότητας της Ιστορίας με τίτλο: «Πρώτες Επαφές». Το

κόστος της εκδρομής είναι 35 δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να

βάλετε τα χρήματα αυτά σε ένα φάκελο όπου θα

αναγράφεται το όνομα του παιδιού σας και να το

παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως την

Παρασκευή 22 Μαρτίου. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να

φορούν την πλήρη καλοκαιρινή αθλητική τους στολή

μαζί με το καπέλο και να έχουν μαζί τους πρωινό,

μεσημεριανό και ένα μπουκάλι νερό μέσα σε ένα

μικρό σάκο. Σε περίπτωση βροχής, η εκδρομή θα

αναβληθεί.

Ε΄ Δημοτικού Την Τρίτη 2 Απριλίου η Ε΄ Δημοτικού θα επισκεφθεί το

Nan Tien Temple στα πλαίσια της ενότητας των

Αγγλικών με τίτλο: «Ιστορίες όλου του Κόσμου». Οι

μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την πλήρη καλοκαιρινή

αθλητική τους στολή μαζί με το καπέλο τους και να

έχουν μαζί τους πρωινό και ένα μπουκάλι νερό.

Μεσημεριανό θα τους προμηθευτεί εκεί. Το κόστος

της εκδρομής είναι 35 δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να βάλετε

τα χρήματα αυτά σε ένα φάκελο όπου θα

αναγράφεται το όνομα του παιδιού σας και να το

παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως την Τρίτη 26

Μαρτίου. Σε περίπτωση βροχής, η εκδρομή θα

πραγματοποιηθεί όπως έχει σχεδιαστεί και οι μαθητές

θα πρέπει να φέρουν αδιάβροχο. Σημειώνουμε πως δε

θα επιστραφούν τα χρήματα της εκδρομής καθώς η

είσοδος της εκδρομής θα πρέπει να πληρωθεί εκ των

προτέρων.

Στ΄ Δημοτικού Την Τρίτη 2 Απριλίου η Στ΄ Δημοτικού θα επισκεφθεί

το Echo Point και το Scenic World στο Katoomba στα

πλαίσια της ενότητας της Φυσικής με τίτλο: «Μία

αρχαία Γη» καθώς και στα πλαίσια της ενότητας HSIE

με τίτλο: «Ένας Συνδεδεμένος Κόσμος». Στην εκδρομή

αυτή οι μαθητές θα μάθουν για τη διαμόρφωση των



βράχων καθώς και τις θεωρίες σχετικά με τη

Μετατόπιση Ηπείρων. Το κόστος της εκδρομής είναι

50 δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να βάλετε τα χρήματα αυτά σε

ένα φάκελο όπου θα αναγράφεται το όνομα του

παιδιού σας και να το παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της

τάξης έως τη Δευτέρα 18 Μαρτίου. Οι μαθητές θα

πρέπει να έχουν μαζί τους πρωινό και μεσημεριανό

και ένα μπουκάλι νερό μέσα σε ένα μικρό σάκο. Οι

μαθητές θα πρέπει να βρίσκονται στο σχολείο έως τις

7:00πμ για να αναχωρήσουν με το λεωφορείο στις

7:15πμ ακριβώς και θα επιστρέψουν στο σχολείο στις

4:00μμ. Σε περίπτωση βροχής, η εκδρομή θα

πραγματοποιηθεί μια άλλη μέρα.



Νεα Του Γυμνασιου Συνεντεύξεις ΓονέωνΚηδεμόνων-Καθηγητών Οι συνεντεύξεις ΓονέωνΚηδεμόνων-Καθηγητών για

τους μαθητές της Α΄ Γυμνασίου έχουν

προγραμματιστεί για την Πέμπτη 7 Μαρτίου από τις

3.30μ.μ. έως 6.30μ.μ.

Αυτή η βραδιά είναι μια πολύ καλή ευκαιρία για τους

γονείςκηδεμόνες της Α΄ Γυμνασίου να γνωρίσουν

τους καθηγητές και να συζητήσουν μαζί τους την

πρόοδο των παιδιών τους.

Οι μαθητές παρακαλούνται να κλείσουν ραντεβού με

τους καθηγητές τους εκ των προτέρων.

Αριστεύσαν τελειόφοιτος μαθητής (HSC Dux

Honour) Τη Δευτέρα 11 Φεβρουαρίου, στη σχολική

συγκέντρωση, ο μαθητής μας Χρίστος Ξενοφώντος

βραβεύτηκε με το τιμητικό DUX Honours του HSC και

πήρε επίσης ως δώρο το ποσό των $3,000 ως βοήθημα

για τις πανεπιστημιακές του σπουδές.

Το δώρο αυτό ήταν από κάποιο άτομο της κοινότητας.

Ο Χρίστος ήταν ο αριστεύσαν μαθητής της Γ΄ Λυκείου

στις τελικές εξετάσεις του HSC 2018 και του ευχόμαστε

κάθε επιτυχία για το μέλλον.
