¡ The evaluation of the localized effect of the herbal preparation BENOSTAN PROCTO in patients suffering from proctitis or/and hemorrhoids.

PATIENTS AND METHODS

¡ 27 patients (8 men and 19 women) with clinical symp-toms of proctitis and/or hemorrhoids were examined. The findings were confirmed endoscopically by rec-toscopy, after the exclusion of other inflammatory dis-eases of the large intestine. The patients were advised to wash systematically the area and they received proper diet recommendations and a prescription of the topical cream BENOSTAN PROCTO twice a day for two to four weeks.

All patients underwent re-examination during the third or fourth week.

¡ EVALUATION: The regression of clinical symptoms (pain - bleeding) and the local inflammatory effects (edema, hyperemia, bleeding).

The rectoscopy showed: proctitis in 25 patients, 1st degree hemorrhoids in 22 and 2nd degree hemorrhoids in 7 patients. The effect of the drug was as-sessed on a scale of three grades: complete regression (+), improvement (+), failure (-).

A plant originated product in cream for the topical treatment - cure of hem-orrhoids. to the pressure during labor. That is why women have a great pain in the area. In this case, results are immediate and spectacular. The day after using BENOSTAN PROCTO they felt already comfortable and before getting out of the clinic, the whole area that was swelled and edematic before using BENOSTAN PROCTO, had already returned to the normal condition.

¡ After the surgery of hemorrhoids or the laser treatment where the whole area is inflammated and swelled, clinical applications have shown that BENOSTAN PROCTO, in spite of the fact that it is a 100% plant originated product, it has a stronger anti-inflammatory action that corticosteroids.

METHOD OF USAGE:The product is applied on the suffering area, which has to be dry, after a thorough cleansing.
