1) Thermal qualities :
• Thermal conductivity : λAbility of a material to conduct HEAT
• Thermal resistance : R Ability of a product to reduce HEAT conduction
(most of the time heat transmission coefficient K=1/R is recorded)

Examples (materials):• Expansed Polystyrène : 0.034 W/m.°C• Cork : 0.1 W/m.°C• Bitumen : 0.17 W/m.°C• Wood (pin): 0.36 W/m.°C• Fiber cement : 0.95 W/m.°C• Brick (Clay) : 1.15 W/m.°C• Reinforced concrete : 1.75 W/m.°C• Iron : 52 to 80 W/m.°C
Thermal conductivity λ :(Ability of a material to conduct HEAT)
The lower the λ value is, the lower HEAT
conduction will be.

Thermal Insulation test performed by Sirim QAS International Sdn Bhd
Test method: ISO 8990:1994Test report: 2004CB1300Date: 23 August 2004
Official laboratory test: 16°C cooler
16°C difference between high and low temperature rooms
Resistance of Heat Transmission R
R= 0.178 m².°C/W

Customers testimonies :
Comfort Roof - Impact noise Absorption
No “drumming” effect at all under tropical rain
Onduline material being 3mm thick and relatively soft, sound of tropical rain is greatly reduced; there is no “drumming” effect at all
