These awards will be given at the Order of Omega Greek Awards Ceremony and Banquet on April 20, 2016 and the location is the North River Yacht Club. Each year, Order of Omega seeks to recognize outstanding accomplishment among individual members and chapters of the Alabama Greek System. Review enclosed forms to ascertain the award categories for which you or other chapter members deserve accolades for achievements throughout the year, and please make every effort to apply for all applicable awards.

The Order of Omega Award Application OUTSTANDING GREEK MAN OF THE YEAR

The Beta Alpha Chapter of Order of Omega was established at the University of Alabama in 1974 to recognize and promote outstanding achievement among individuals affiliated with campus sororities and fraternities. Goals of the Order of Omega include: 1) recognizing students who have attained a standard of leadership in inter-Greek activities; 2) encouraging these students to continue a commitment to academics and philanthropy; 3) inspiring others to achieve similar goals; and 4) bringing together faculty, staff, alumni, and student members of University sororities and fraternities in pursuit of endeavors promoting mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness within campus and local communities. The Order of Omega Award for OUTSTANDING GREEK MAN OF THE YEAR is presented annually to a senior fraternity member for exceptional contributions to the chapter, the Greek system, and the University reflecting the Objectives of The Order of Omega. In determining the recipient of this award, the selection committee considers the nominee’s active participation in the chapter, inter-Greek leadership, academic achievements and honors, campus and community service, and involvement in endeavors promoting productive interaction with other campus constituents, including non-affiliated students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Tuscaloosa community. This award was renamed in 2002 to honor the memory of Rusty Quarles who served as the advisor to Sigma Alpha Epsilon and died suddenly in 2002. The Order of Omega Award Application OUTSTANDING FRATERNITY CHAPTER

The Beta Alpha Chapter of Order of Omega was established at the University of Alabama in 1974 to recognize and promote outstanding achievement among individuals affiliated with campus sororities and fraternities. Goals of the Order of Omega include: 1) recognizing students who have attained a standard of leadership in inter-Greek activities; 2) encouraging these students to continue a commitment to academics and philanthropy; 3) inspiring others to achieve similar goals; and 4) bringing together faculty, staff, alumni, and student members of University sororities and fraternities in pursuit of endeavors promoting mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness within campus and local communities. The Order of Omega Award for OUTSTANDING FRATERNITY CHAPTER is presented annually to a fraternity chapter for excellence in the chapter’s commitment to ideals reflecting the Objectives of The Order of Omega. The Beta Alpha Chapter of Order of Omega was established at the University of Alabama in 1974 to recognize and promote outstanding achievement among individuals affiliated with campus sororities and fraternities. The Order of Omega Award Application GREEK RELATIONS AWARD

In 1998, Pi Kappa Alpha created the Greek Relations Award to recognize a fraternity or sorority that has exemplified the qualities of leadership and service in creating unity and amicable relations within the Greek community. The 1998-1999 Greek Relations Award was presented to Theta Chi for their hospitality and kindness towards Pi Kappa Alpha following the fire that badly damaged their Chapter House. Events such as the fire will not take place every year, but there are plenty of opportunities and instances in which Houses go out of their way in helping their fellow Chapters and in promoting harmony within the Greek system. From first-hand experience, Pi Kappa Alpha realizes the importance of these actions. As a result, the deserving Houses should be recognized. If you feel that your Chapter or another Chapter is deserving of this honor, please attach a brief letter outlining the reasons.
