    La categora de espacios vectoriales

    En la categora de espacios vectoriales vect, los objetos son espacios vectoriales V,W, y morfismos entre objetos que se llaman transformaciones lineales.

    Dados dos objetos V y W en Vect, un morfismo es una transformacion T : V W quees lineal.

    Se cumple lo siguiente:

    1. Para cada objeto V Wect , existe un morfismo identidad: id : V V, v 7 v

    2. Para cada par de morfismo

    T : V WS : W Z

    existe un morfismo llamado composicion

    V T W S Z

    S T : V Z.

    3. Propiedad asociativa:

    V T W S X R YR (S T ) = (R S) T

    En particular,

    End(V ) = {T : V V : T lineal }

    es el algebra de endomorfismos de V .

  • 12 CAPITULO 2. LA CATEGORIA DE ESPACIOS VECTORIALES

    Si W = k, entonces L(V, k) = {T : V k : T lineal } se llama el espacio dual de V y sedenota por V .

    Como L(V,W ) es un espacio vectorial, se sigue que

    V = L(V, k)

    es un espacio vectorial.

    Entonces,

    V = L(V , k) = L(L(V, k), k)

    se le llama el doble dual de V y es espacio vectorial.

    Teorema 2.0.1 ( de la dimension ). . Sea V un espacio vectorial de dimension finita y

    Entonces,

    Im(T ) = T (V )

    = T (G(V1, , vn))= T (G(V1, , vbbbnbbbb)= G(Tv1, T vn)

    Esto, {Tvk+1, Tvk} geenran a Im(T ).Si ak+1Tvk+1 + + anTvn = 0, entonces (T (ak+1vk+1 + + anvn) = 0.
