Transport National Contact Points (NCPs)

Individuals/Organisations commissioned by national authorities to promote H2020 and to support researchers in their efforts to become involved. Core minimum functions include: • informing & awareness raising; • Assisting; • advising and training; • signposting and cooperation

Other additional functions include:• partner search and consortium building • organisation of brokerage events• provision of non-confidential information on consortia• insight into the activities of the relevant Technology Platforms• informal eligibily checks of outline proposals

• Mapping of sources of public sector funding – Specific transport programmes administered by the European Commission,

e.g. Horizon 2020, Connecting Europe Facility– European Commission funds that are capable of supporting transport

projects, e.g. Structural Funds, INTERREG– Member State support of trans-national cooperation, e.g. ERA-Net+,

EUREKA, EUROSTARS, JPIs– Public procurement initiatives within MS/AS, that might provide leverage

opportunities for trans-national transport research and innovation

• Mapping of sources of debt and equity finance– Mapping of sources of debt and equity finance including seed capital,

including those provided by European Investment Bank; Venture Capital; Banks

• Advanced Partner Search Facility– Under development! Will list possible partners for a project based on their

European project track record [TRIP/CORDIS]
