Therearetonsofsimilarsmartsolutionstomakethewholecomplexthatmuchsmarterandefficientthenmostoftheotherofficebuildingsyouhaveseen.Myinitialideaofanuglyindustrialparkinglothasduringthetriptransformedtojustplainadmirationofthebuilding.Perhapsnotontheaestheticsidebuttheworkandinnovationthearchitectsandengineeringmanagedputinisamazing.Architectureformeisaboutcombiningdesign,innovationwithactualfunctionandforme,thisbuildingisdoingagoodjobofit,especiallythelasttwoofthosethree.Walkingfloorbyfloorandgettingshoweddifferentpartsandhowitallisfunctioningwasveryinspiringforme.
Continuingonthisthemeofadmirationandengineering,Ifoundanotherreallyinterestingfeature.Itwasabouthowtheysetupthecarryingwallsandweightdistribution.Theyactuallybuiltthewholecomplexwithastrongoutsidewalllikeabarrierthatcarriesthefloorsintensionwhichleftonlyasmallpartofthebuildingsweightonthegroundfloorinsteadofthenormalsolutionwhentheybuildeverythingontopofeachother.Thatoptionalsoleftthearchitectswithaprettyfreehandwiththefirstfloorwithouthavingtouseanysortofpillars,itleftaveryroomyfeelingwhenyoufirstwalkedintothebuilding.
