and return to St. Nicholas Church no later than 6:30 p.m.Admission to events, and transportation will be pro-

vided for all St. Nicholas Greek School Students free ofcharge. Lunch is on your own. All Greek School Childrenmust be occupied by an adult or older sibling 18 years ofage or older. Regular season ticket costs are $52.98 withtax per adult. This is a great savings for parents.

The ‘Greektown Row’ housing development, 800block of Oldham Street, received final approval from theBaltimore City Planning Commission on April 2, 2011and will now begin demolition of the former Bob’sTrucking Depot. The first phase of this development is141 Ryan townhomes featuring brick facades and two cargarages. The Greektown CDC has been monitoring theprogress of this development and looks forward to thenew homeowners moving to Greektown.

With the revitalization to our housing market andcommercial district, it takes us back to one of our mainthemes – community investment. We encourage you tojoin our efforts by making improvements to your homeand utilizing the Healthy Neighborhoods program. Investin our youth by volunteering at the Mora Crossman Rec-reation Center or helping out with the Church’s youthgroups. Invest by supporting our community’s busi-nesses and restaurants. Lastly, join one of our commit-tees and volunteer your time in any one of our projectsand events, such as our bi-weekly community clean-upsand Citizen on Patrol Walks (C.O.P). The purpose of thevisit was to view the special exhibit of artifacts from the is-land of Cyprus. The same day the students, also, had the op-portunity to visit the Air and Space Museum. The GreekSchool offers at least one education field trip per year forthe students to enjoy.”

Yianni Sarioglou was born on February 12, 1993in Baltimore, Maryland and is the son of Panagiotisand Despina. He has an older sister Eleftheria who is aJunior at Stevenson University in the Nursing Pro-gram.

Yianni grew up on the soccer field from the earlyage of five. At his first recreational game at age five hescored five goals playing two age groups up. At agenine he was the leading scorer and scored the goldengoal for his team to win the National Indoor Champi-onship.

Graduated from Fallston High school as an honorroll student, minds of motion scholar, Spanish nationalhonors society, 4 year 1st team all county, 1st team alldistrict, 1st team all region. nominated by all Marylanddistrict for 1st team all state

Harford-Honor roll, 3.5 GPA, 2 year 1st team alldistrict, 1st team all region, 1st team all Maryland, 1stteam all Maryland Juco, Nominated for All Americanfrom all district Maryland coaches. Recruited by over10 Universities in Maryland and out of state.

Emailed to tryout for Semi-Pro team in Summer2011 Transferring to Wilmington University re-cruited with Full scholarship in Soccer.

While playing for the Baltimore Bays Soccer clubat age thirteen, Yianni was identified and made theMaryland Olympic Development Program (ODP) andtraveled to Scotland with the team to lead his MarylandODP team as a captain competing against ScottishPremier League giants, Celtic FC. Rangers FC. andKilmarnock FC. Both in 2007 and 2008 at age 14 andage 15 he helped his Baltimore Bays team to win backto back National Championships as the best team inthe country.

In 2009 and 2010 he was selected as a Region 1pool player out of 100 prospect players in USA ODPProgram.

In 2010, he was selected and traveled to Italy withthe Maryland team as a captain to compete againstSeries A side Udinese F.C., A.C. Concordia Sagittaria,Calcio Union Quinto, and A.C. Este 1920.

He is currently attending Calvert Hall CollegeHigh School where he also played soccer and wasnamed all MIAA his senior year. When he graduatesthis year, his dream is to attend College and major inBusiness Administration and continue to play thesport he loves so much. He is currently being scoutedby many colleges and has not yet made his decision.

Yianni gives a lot of credit to his parents and hisgrandparents Yianni and Maria Kevas, the lateKyriakos Sarioglou, and Sofia Sarioglou. He wasraised to have strong faith, beliefs, and family values.His dream is to one day play professional soccer butalso recognizes the importance of education.
