Welcome What is KNX

The BUS sets and automates the func-

tions of a building, by unifying the

systems of electromechanical installa-

tions. It is a decentralized system.

Every device operates independently,

and the total consumption is con-

trolled by a central panel, a computer,

a mobile or a fixed telephone, either

on-site or at a distance.

The BUS system can be implemented

in every space of any size. Placed in

either multifunctional places of com-

panies and stores or in residential

buildings, villas and apartments, it

fully responds to business or personal

needs. In a simple, yet intelligent

way, it provides comfort, safety and

cost-effectiveness, providing solutions

to everyday simple or complex func-

tions (lighting, air-conditioning, heat-

ing, alarm, ventilation, sound systems,

etc.), and is also environmentally

friendly.

The easy operation and control of the

systems, the flexibility of the BUS

system, the possibility of modifying

the settings for future needs, as well

as the protection it provides, com-

bined with the reduction of the oper-

ating costs, make it ideal for any

... Gratzios Sotirios graduated from the Electrical Engineering Depart-

ment of Aristotle's University of Thessaloniki in 1994. He has been

working as a self-employed engi-neer in construction and studies

field since 1996. Today he is the president and chairman of the CEO

in GMP S.A., a technical construct-ing company. He has attended

many seminars regarding KNX

technology in Greece and abroad. He has accomplished many projects

of great interest in study, construc-tion and programming field as :

While applying the system there are three main discrete levels :

On-site management of unique systems, where locally installed intelligent sensors and switches control the functions of each area.

Central management and visualization of the system locally, that can be achieved via a touch screen, a network pc, a smartphone or a tablet.

Central management and visualization of the system remotely using extremely intelligent visualization programs with great graphical environments where any operator can control and supervise the whole installation of his own private area with simplicity and safety from anywhere in the world under the only restriction, the web access.
