Thanks be to God for his mercies andthe way Heûs blessed YWCA of Bangkokin 2008. He has helped us to continue toadvance and to bear fruit in our work withchildren, women and the underprivilegedboth in Bangkok and throughout Thailand.Even in the midst of the current worldeconomic crisis the Association isdetermined that our services to theunderprivileged be uninterrupted.

The Association is committed to the protection ofthe environment and has sponsored the planting of coralas well as forestlands. As for the educational work ofthe Association, we have provided funding to studentsin their first year of primary school all the way to thosestudying at the university level. We have supported theconstruction of a library, preschool classrooms, acomputer room, and various other school facilityimprovements. We have also sponsored mid-day mealprograms at various schools in Bangkok andthroughout Thailand. As far as our social welfare workis concerned, we have held activities for the supportand encouragement of the chronically ill as well as forinmates of the womenûs prison. In addition, the WarmFamily Project encouraged the development of a senseof dignity, morality and ethical behavior of women insociety. All of these activities are ongoing works of theAssociation.

We have also continuously improved our facilitiesand we now have beautiful, clean, safe guest rooms forboth local and international visitors. At Chonburi Centernow has a moden swimming pool and an exercisefacility for members and visitors.

Finally, the Board of Directors and Management ofthe Association wants to thank our volunteers as wellas members of the diplomatic community for theirgracious hard work in acquiring the funds for sponsorshipof our various projects. May God bless each one whohas served with us in being a blessing to the poor andunderprivileged. To Him be the glory forever!

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as

these. - Matt 19:14 (NIV)

The example of Jesus Christ is implanted with love and care into every child that comes to study at YWCA. Every

day they learn by doing things themselves - even at the elementary level. This is the starting point for teaching

them to learn to think, to make decisions and to develop discipline in their daily lives.

Parents are kept informed regarding their childrenûs daily activities to promote family intimacy and to allow parents

to better take part in the educational process. In addition, our schools provide counseling on raising children and

encouragement in family life.

Children are like good soil where we plant seeds and when these seeds sprout they grow into beautiful, spreading

trees that produce fruits.
