2009 Contract Agreement for the supply, installation and commissioning of Fire Detection systems, in Holargos, Nomismatokopio and Aghia Paraskevi metro stations, as well as the underground parking (for

600 vehicles) of Attiko Metro S.A. with AEGEK. In operation since 2012. 2010 Contract Agreement with the join venture of Edison Spa – AKTOR, for the design, supply, installation

and commissioning of a Perimeter Security System, CCTV as well as Access Control System in a Combined Cycle Power Plant of 450 MW, at Thisvi – Viotia. In operation since 2012.

2011 Contract Agreement with METKA of Mytilinaios Group, for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of Fire Detection, Gas Detection as well as fire dampers and ventilators control at the 450 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant of PPC at Aliveri – Evia. In operation since July 2013.

2012 Supply and installation of X-Ray machines for the scanning of mail and hand luggage's in all entrances of the Greek Parliament.

2013 Contract Agreement for the Design, Supply and Commissioning of an extended Military Intrusion Detection System in a U.S. Air Force base in Qatar. In operation since 12th September 2013

• Electronic perimeter security detects any intrusion attempt. However assessment may be accomplished by video cameras.

• All doors to secure areas shall be controlled through high security card readers with anti-pass-back to prevent a cardholder from passing their access card to someone behind them.

• Is not the fire itself that causes casualties but the smoke and panic which is caused by fire. We plan and supply integrated systems to avoid it: fire detection, fire alarm, voice alarm for evacuation, extraction of smoke and an electrically controlled panic exit system, intended where panic situations are foreseen. This system enables the electrical control of emergency exit doors by means of an electrical locking and controlling element.

• Our smart video solution launch CCTV surveillance to a higher level of efficiency. On the spot event recognition identifies suspicious, unattended baggage within moments of its abandonment and automatically triggers an alarm, pinpointing its exact location onscreen. Security personnel can instantly access all the events that led up to the object and assess whether a genuine threat is being posed.

• We monitor underground car parks for the highly toxic carbon monoxide from vehicle emissions. Our system can also measure nitrogen dioxide coming from diesel vehicles.

Our protection concept in road or railway tunnels is based on “Fibrolaser” fire detection system, a state of the art laser linear heat detection. Exceptional benefits provided by system characteristics are: Continuous detection over the entire length of the tunnel thanks to linear temperature measurement, detection of convected or radiated heat, precise location indication and information concerning size and direction of the spread of the fire. • A smoke level invisible to human eye activates an alarm to prevent damages. This is achievable by our air sampling smoke detection system. This very early fire detection eliminates nuisance alarms and can also minimize the reliance on a suppression type system.

• Our automatic extinguishing system extinguish even the most sensitive devices with care and without leaving any residues by using Inergen or Argon.

• Only authorized people can enter in the data center and only few of theme in the server area. This is achieved by our access control allowing access by group, time and card reader.

• A digital intercom is integrated in the card reader giving the possibility to speak/listen to a visitor.

Integrated Security Systems in a wide network: Attiko Metro 7.122 sensitive smoke detectors protect 31 stations, 2 depots and 3 underground parking of Athens Metro, giving

alarm signal to the station controller and to the central control room The fire detection system controls the elevators, the ventilation, the automatic extinguishing system and the

special fire dampers. The CCTV, with 650 cameras, provides a complete visual control of the stations from the entrances to the platforms

and to the technical areas. It also enables the drivers to control the train platforms. The Central Clock Control System, with synchronized timing through GPS, shows the exact same time to 650 clocks

of Metro network and takes care to synchronize all the devices and systems like ticketing machines e.t.c. The Public Address system with thousands of loudspeakers in stations and in depots, is controlled by the

stationmaster and by the Syntagma control team, passing live prerecorded announcements, music and instructions in case of emergency. The Access Control System in the Cash Counting area, controls 25 gates, 3 gates with bars and 25 cameras through high security card readers.

Security Systems in industrial environment

130 sensors fixed on the perimeter fence guard against physical intrusion attempts.12 PTZ Dome cameras monitor the perimeter, the entrances and the inside area. 14 card readers control the doors and gates on the perimeter and the entrances in important areas as the control room, the server room and the metering station.

All three systems are 100% integrated.An alarm on the fence moves the relative camera to a preset position in order to capture the alarm scene on a video clip.This integration guides the operator under stressful conditions to perform the correctactions in the right sequence.

Multi Sector Extinguishing ControlIn a Combined Cycle Power Plant we had to control 13 extinguishing sectors with one cylinder battery plus reserve battery. We have solved this using Multi Sector Extinguishing Control Panels from Siemens in 19” rack panel

The extinguishing control unit is used for displaying, operating and monitoring the functions of an extinguishing area and its immediate environs. All detectors, alarm horn, illuminated warning panel, monitoring devices and controllers are connected to the extinguishing control unit. If a detector triggers an alarm, it is transmitted to the extinguishing control unit. At the extinguishing control unit the decision is made how the alarm is to be processed..  

During the pre-warning time an activation of extinguishing already initiated can be temporarily stopped by pressing the Emergency Hold Button or canceled by pressing the Emergency Abort Button. The automatic activation of extinguishing can be blocked as a precaution for maintenance work. In this instance, in the event of fire, it is possible to press the Manual Release Button for activation of extinguishing

Voice Alarm for safe evacuationin a shopping mall

For comprehensive fire protection, thevoice alarm system E100 is connectedto the fire detection and fire alarmsystem. Should the detectors recognize a fire, the voice alarm system will be automatically triggered.Depending on the situation, thepreprogrammed evacuation process will be activated according to the evacuation plan the owners security and the fire brigade have agreed. In case of an emergency, everyone who is at risk can thus be led quickly and safely away from the danger zone. Whether there’s a fire, a fire safety drill or abomb alert, state-of-the-art multi channeltechnology of 8 digital audio channels permits the simultaneous transmission of different kinds of information to different parts of the building.
