Hi, everybody. My name’s Jenny and I’m 15 years old. I’m from Blackpool, a town in the north of England. My surname is Bertolli, and my family is from Italy – my grandfather is from Trento. My best friends are Anna and Kate. We are all in the same class at school.
Music and biology are my favourite subjects at school. My family is very small – just my parents, my brother, Peter, and me. My Italian grandfather, Aldo, lives with us, too. My father is a teacher at a primary school, and my mother is a doctor at Blackpool Hospital. Peter is little – he’s only five. He is a big problem when my friends are at our house – he’s very curious about what we say and do!

Spring is the season of new life. The countryside is full of lots of young 2 and colourful flowers. The weather also changes a lot. It is possible to have rain, sun, wind and even snow – all in one day! People never know what clothes to wear!
In summer the weather is usually hot and the days are long. It is sunny and the temperatures are high. But in Britain this is not always true. It can rain and be cold. Lots of British people go on holiday abroad in July and August. Popular destinations are Spain, France and Italy, but sometimes they go to more exotic places like 3 , Thailand or Australia!
The countryside changes again in 4 . The leaves on the trees become lots of different colours – orange, yellow, red and brown. It’s beautiful! A very popular festival in Britain in October is Halloween. Lots of children wear costumes and go to Halloween parties.
