The Archaeological Museum of Eretria

• This museum is one of the most important cultural centers of ancient Greece.

• You can see findings from the island and from all periods, starting from the Bronze Age such as:

o Jewelries, potteries, sculptures, reliefs, lamps and weapons.

o The sculpture depicting the amazon Antiope and Theseus.

o The bronze horse blinder, upon which is scribed a plan of the entire northern Syria.

o Objects from the private, public, athletic, worship and funeral ceremony of the Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods.

o Exhibits are to be seen all around the museum, even on its yard.

Trekking at Steni, Evia

• Steni is one of the most picturesque villages in Evia, built at an altitude of 450m at the edge of Dirfis, the highest mountain on the island (1.743m), 30km from Chalkida.

• From Dirfis start the two largest rivers of Evia, Messapios and Lilas.

• You can see pine trees and plane trees, cedar trees and fir trees.

• The chestnut forest is one of 19 aesthetic forests of Greece.

• We will stay for lunch at “Neromylos“ (Watermill) tavern in Kambia, near Steni and the little church of Aghia Kyriaki.

• In a cave, surrounded by waterfalls and plane trees, is the church of Aghia Kyriaki with the sanctuary looking towards the South and the holy water.

• Zarganis Estate is a family business in Mandraki, Evia. The estate is certified as "organic".

• Seasonal vegetables are produced and 3000 hens for eggs are bred.

• Chickens live in real villas. It is free-range and the eggs produced are the best on the market. They can be found in the best organic shops of Athens and in many supermarkets.
