General information and conditions:-1. Benefits under Council service:a. These posts carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent

Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the centralgovernment employees and as made applicable to CSIR. Council employees arealso eligible for accommodation of their entitled type as per CSIR allotment rulesdepending on availability in which case HRA will not be admissible.

b. In addition to the emoluments indicated against each category of posts, benefitssuch as applicability of New Pension Scheme 2004, reimbursements of MedicalExpenses, Leave Travel Concession and House Building Advance are available asper CSIR rules.

c. CSIR provides excellent opportunities to deserving candidates for careeradvancement under Assessment Promotion scheme for TA/TO.

2. Other conditionsa. The applicant must be a citizen of India.b. All applicants must fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions

stipulated in the advertisement as on the last date of submission of onlineApplications i.e. 05.10.2020. They are advised to satisfy themselves beforeapplying that they possess at least the essential qualification laid down for variousposts as on the last date of applying for the post online. No enquiry asking foradvice as to eligibility will be entertained. The prescribed essential qualification isthe minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates tobe called for the Skill Test/Trade Test. The duly constituted Screening Committeewill adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidate shouldtherefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in therelevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported withdocuments. The candidates may also note that Diploma/Degree should be from theState Technical Board or Government approved or Recognised Institution.

c. The hard copy (print-out) of the application for each post, generated after fillingOnline application form, should be accompanied by self-attested copies of therelevant educational qualification, experience. Candidate should submit hard copyin separate envelope with post-code. The prescribed qualifications should havebeen obtained through recognized Universities/Institutions etc. Incompleteapplications/applications received without the required certificates/documents areliable to be rejected.

d. In respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiminga particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement ofadvertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard,indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treatedotherwise the Application is liable to be rejected.

e. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages,visiting/ guest faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid experience forTrade Test.

f. If any document/ certificate furnished is in a language other than Hindi or English,a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted officer or notary is to besubmitted.

g. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and /or experience shallbe the closing date prescribed for submission of online application i.e. 05.10.2020.

h. The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, shallbe counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educationalqualifications prescribed for that Post.

i. Persons with disabilities (PWD) fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribedunder GOI instructions are encouraged to apply.

j. Any discrepancy found between the information given in application and as evidentin original documents will make the candidate ineligible for appearing in Trade Test.

k. The decision of the IITR/CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance orrejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examination will be final andbinding on the candidates.

I. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence political or otherwise will betreated as a disqualification for the post.

m. Director, CSIR-IITR reserves the right of not making any appointment against anyof the advertised post(s) if suitable candidates are not found.

n. NO INTERIM ENQUIRY OR CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERTAINED.3. Relaxations:a. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC

as per Government orders in force only in those cases where the post are reservedfor respective categories, on production of relevant certificate in the prescribedformat signed by the specified authority at the time of Trade Test.

b. Upper age limit is also relaxable up to 05 years for the regular employees workingin CSIR laboratories / institutes, Government Departments, autonomous bodiesand public sector undertakings.

c. As per GOI provisions, age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women and WomenJudicially separated from Husbands, the upper age limit is relaxable up to the ageof 35 years (up to 40 years for members of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribesand upto 38 years for members belonging to the Other Backward Classes inrespect of the posts reserved for them) for Widows, divorced Women and WomenJudicially separated from their Husbands who are not remarried. The personsclaiming age relaxation under this sub-para would be required to produce followingdocumentary evidence:

(i) In case of Widow, Death Certificate of her husband together with the Affidavit thatshe has not remarried since.

(ii) In case of divorced Women and Women judicially separated from their husbands,a certified copy of the judgment/decree of the appropriate Court to prove the factof divorce or the judicial separation, as the case may be, with an Affidavit in respectof divorced Women and they have not remarried since.

d. Age relaxation to Physically Handicapped (PH) persons: Age relaxation of 10years is allowed (total 15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs in respect ofthe posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicappedpersons. The persons claiming age relaxation under this sub-para would berequired to produce a certificate in prescribed proforma in support of their claimsclearly indicating that the degree of physical disability is 40% or more. In any case,the appointment of these candidates will be subject to their being found medicallyfit in accordance with the standards of medical fitness as prescribed by theGovernment for each individual Group B" posts to be filled by Direct Recruitmentby Selection.

e. Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) reservation will be as per DOPT, Ministryof Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension, Govt. of India O.M No. 36039/1/2019-Estt(Res.) dated 31.01.2019.

f. Relaxation in age, over and above the stipulated limit, educational qualificationand/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritoriouscandidates or if sufficient number of candidates possessing the requisitequalification and /or experience are not available to fill up the posts.

4. How to applya. Candidates can apply through online portal, link of which will be available on CSIR-

IITR website http://iitrindia.org w.e.f. 02.09.2020, 11:00 a.m onwards andcloses on 05.10.2020 at 5:00 p.m. It is mandatory to take the print out of thesuccessfully submitted online application form, sign the same and attach the selfattested mandatory documents & Photo. The print out of the application along withthe relevant documents must reach CSIR-IITR on or before 21.10.2020, 5:00 p.m.

b. Candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- as per "Fee paymentprocedure" available on the website. Printed copy of e-receipt of the same must beenclosed with the application.

c. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Women/Regular CSIR Employees/Abroad candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

d. Candidate is required to upload his/her recent passport size scanned colourphotograph, signature each (max size 50 KB) and also relevant certificates at thespecified places in the online application.

e. Candidates should keep a copy of the application print out and payment details, ifany, for their record.

f. Fee once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reservefor any other recruitment of selection process.

g. A candidate can apply for multiple post codes subject to fulfilling all eligibilityconditions attached to each individual post code. However, candidate needs to fillthe application (except primary/registration details) with the requisite applicationfee separately for each post code.

h. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application formfor each post indicating the Code No. of the post.

i.
