Dynamic ideas of the Web 2.0
User overcomes the limited boundaries of his computer and uses the Web as his personal computer (cloud computing). The web is used as an environment of creativity, redefinition and content sharing.
A new way of designing websites is offered, based on user openness and interaction. Plus, the user is allowed to modify the environment of both websites and their content (data and content sharing).
Emphasis is given in user generated content (UGC).
Emphasis on collaboration is given, using appropriate software.
Emphasis in new ways/modes of interaction is given, using web-based applications.
Using media to support learning from pre-school through to University
A new domain has been identified in Education that uses both Web 2.0 technologies and applications, like blogs, wikis, tagging, social networks (social software), as well as its dynamic ideas and values as collaboration, dialogue, participation, sharing and openness.
The new domain has already to present effective instructional interventions and successful learning outcomes
Education 2.0
Using media to support learning from pre-school through to University
The vision of EduTV is to empower students as creators, researchers and global citizens reconnecting with a young audience and moving on from traditional media in the digital era. Contributing to the development of audiovisual education, enables the educational community to collaborate and create, using the offered educational videos and newly documented digital content. Students actively participate as digital media storytellers and content curators
not consumers, but rather pro-sumers
becoming active and responsible citizens
