OpenGov.gr ‐ The Greek Open Government Ini=a=ve
Opengov.gr has been designed to serve the principles of transparency, delibera=on, collabora=on and accountability includes two main ini=a=ves: • Electronic delibera=on.
o Almost every piece of draq legislaMon or even policy iniMaMve by the government, are posted in a blog like plaNorm prior to their submission to parliament.
o CiMzens and organisaMons can post their comments, suggesMons and criMcisms arMcle‐by‐arMcle.
• Οpen calls for the recruitment of public administra=on officials. o Top level and mid‐level openings in the public sector are available on the Internet. o ApplicaMons are submijed on‐line using a plaNorm available on the opengov.gr website

“Na=onal Infrastructure for Geospa=al Informa=on”
• This consMtutes the Greek naMonal transposiMon law for the INSPIRE DirecMve (2007/2/EC) ‐ 3882/2010
• This was the result of a lengthy process, which involved a meMculous consultaMon with all involved stakeholders, and a concentrated effort to create a funcMonal and sustainable system for the sharing of GeospaMal InformaMon in the context of the Greek legal system.
• The geodata.gov.gr website consMtutes the first governmental ajempt to make the geospaMal data of the wider public administraMon sector available online and free‐of‐charge for all ciMzens. The website has been piloted since 21 July 2010 and has been regularly updated.
