facility for the Solar Nitrogen Chemicals, Inc /s plant at Joplin, Missouri, operated by Atlas

Chemical Industries, Inc. From the day of receipt of Solar's letter of intent to the day of

start-up'wSsifess thanone y§ar. The facility produces ammonium nitrate pril ls for fertilizer

and blasting agents, and operates j n conjunction with a C & l self-sustaining Nitric Acid

plant originally designed and constructed by C & l for Atlas in 1957. The new combine^

plant has a production capability of more than 110,OCNO tons of ammonium nitrate prills per

year, of either the Agricultural or Industrial type product *
