1. Description

1.1 Intended purpose

This SilverCrest SKD 2300 A1 convectorheater may be used to heat dry rooms. This appliance is intended for private useand is not suitable for commercial purposes.The appliance is suitable for providingauxiliary heating. It is not suitable for use onits own to heat large spaces.The appliance is floor standing only.

1.2 Scope of supply

4. Safety information

4.1 Terms used

The following signalling terms are found inthese Operating Instructions:

Warning!High risk. Disregarding thewarning may cause injury to lifeand limb.

Caution!Medium risk. Disregarding the warning maycause damage to property.

Note:Low risk. Circumstances that should be takeninto account when dealing with thisappliance.

4.2 General information

• Before using the appliance, be sure toread these Operating Instructionscarefully. They are a component part ofthe appliance and must be available atall times.

• Use the appliance only for the purposedescribed (see “1.1 Intended purpose”on page 3).

• Check whether the mains voltage (seetype plate on the appliance) agrees withyour mains voltage.

• This device is not intended to be used byindividuals (including children) withlimited physical, sensory or mentalcapabilities or with a lack of experienceand/or lack of knowledge, unlesssupervised by a person responsible fortheir safety or they have receivedinstructions from such a person as tohow to use the device. Children shouldalways be supervised to ensure that theydo not play with the device.

• If there should be any malfunctions, theappliance may only be repaired by ourService Centre.

• The appliance must only be set up on afirm, level, dry and non-flammablesurface.

• Check that the power socket is easilyaccessible so that you can pull out themains plug quickly if necessary.

4.3 Protection against electric shock

Warning! The following safetyinformation is intended to protectyou against electric shock.

• Only plug the appliance into a correctlyinstalled, earthed wall socket.

• Do not use the appliance if it has fallenon the floor, received a hard blow orfallen into water. In this case, pleasecontact our Service Centre. The contactdata can be found in “Service Centre”on page 13.

• The appliance must not under anycircumstances be used if it is damaged.Have the device repaired in such casesby a qualified specialist. The contact

data can be found in “Service Centre”on page 13.

• If the mains cable for this appliance isdamaged, it must be replaced by themanufacturer or a person with similarqualifications in order to avoid ahazard.

• Never use the appliance in theimmediate vicinity of a sink, bath tub,shower or swimming pool as splashesmight enter the appliance.

• Water or other liquids must never beallowed to enter the appliance. For thisreason:– never use outdoors;– never place containers filled with

liquid, such as drinking glasses, vasesetc. on the appliance;

– never use in a very damp environmentsuch as a bathroom.

If nonetheless liquid does enter theappliance, unplug the mains plugimmediately and have the appliancerepaired by a qualified specialist. Thecontact data can be found in “ServiceCentre” on page 13.

• Never insert fingers or any objectsthrough the protective guards into theinside of the appliance.

• Never touch the appliance, the mainscord or the mains plug with moist hands.

• Always pull the mains cord out by theplug. Never pull it by the cord itself.

• Ensure that the mains cable is not kinked,twisted or crushed.

• Ensure that the mains cable is notdamaged on sharp edges.

• Keep the mains cord away from hotsurfaces (such as stove eyes).

• If you are not using the appliance for aprolonged period of time, remove theplug from the wall socket. Only then isthe appliance completely free of current.

• You should avoid using extension cords.This is only allowed under veryparticular conditions:– The extension cord has to be suited for

the appliance's amperage.– The extension cord must not be

installed "loose": it must not bepossible to trip over it or within thereach of children.

– The extension cord must not by anymeans be damaged.

– No other devices other than thisappliance must be connected to themains socket, as otherwiseoverloading of the power supplynetwork could occur (multiple socketsare not allowed!).

• The appliance must not be operatedwith an external time switch or separateremote control system, such as a wirelessremote control socket.

4.4 Protection against the danger of fire

Warning! As the applianceworks at high temperatures, pleaseobserve the following safetyinformation to prevent fire.

• While the appliance is operating, theremust be no flammable objects (e.g.curtains, paper) in the immediate vicinityof the appliance.

• Never use the appliance to dry textilesor other items on, over or in front of theappliance.

• To avoid overheating, the appliancemust never be covered.

• When setting up the appliance, maintaina minimum distance of 1 m from otherappliances and the wall.

• Never operate the appliance in roomswhere there is a risk of explosion or inthe vicinity of flammable gases orliquids.

• The appliance must never be placedimmediately beneath a wall socket, asthe heat it generates could damage theelectrical installation.

• Always check that air can freely enterand escape. Heat might otherwise buildup inside the appliance.

• Never leave the appliance runningwhen it is unattended. The presence ofodour is almost always an indication ofdamage. If you notice any such odour,unplug the mains plug immediately andhave the appliance inspected. Thecontact data can be found in “ServiceCentre” on page 13.

4.5 Protection against injury

Warning! To avoid injury, pleaseobserve the following information.

• Ensure that it is not possible for anyoneto trip over or to get caught up in or stepon the mainscable.

• Once hot, if you wish to transport theappliance, switch it off, pull out themains plug, and wait until the appliancehas cooled down. Otherwise you couldburn yourself on the hot surface.

4.6 For the safety of your child

Warning! Children often cannotassess dangers correctly and areinjured as a result. Please thereforeobserve the following:

• This product may only be used underadult supervision to ensure that childrendo not play with the appliance.

• Always take care to ensure theappliance is kept out of the reach ofchildren at all times.

• The remote control contains batteries.Ensure that they are kept out of the reachof children and are not swallowed. Ingested batteries can be highlydangerous. Obtain medical assistanceimmediately if batteries are swallowed.

4.7 Handling batteries

Warning!To prevent a risk of explosion,normal batteries must not becharged, heated or disposed of byburning.If battery acid has leaked, avoidcontact with skin, eyes and mucousmembranes to prevent injury. In theevent of contact with the acid, rinsethe affected areas immediatelywith plenty of clean water andcontact a doctor at once.

Caution! To avoid damaging the productand ensure it functions correctly, pleasenote:

• Always replace all batteries at the sametime.

• Do not use different battery types or amixture of new and old batteries at thesame time.

• Do not short circuit the batteries.• Remove the batteries if the device is not

used for a long time. Leaking batteriescould damage the device.

4.8 Material damage

Caution! To avoid material damage,please observe the following conditions.• Remove the batteries from the remote

control if you are not using it for aprolonged period of time. Leakingbatteries could damage the remotecontrol.

• Ensure that the feet are fitted correctly(see “5.2 Setting up the appliance” onpage 7), otherwise the floor might bescratched or scorched.

5. Unpacking, setting up and inserting the batteries

5.1 Mounting the appliance

Before the appliance can be used, the feet 7must be screwed on as follows:1. Unpack the appliance from the

packaging.2. Remove the transport packaging.3. Check that the appliance shows no signs

of damage. 4. Slide the feet 7 from the outside into the

corresponding supports on theunderside of the convector.

5. Secure the feet 7 firmly using the screwssupplied.

5.2 Setting up the appliance

Note: As the appliance and heatingelements are supplied with a thin film ofgrease, there might be a small amount ofsmoke and odour the first time the applianceis used. This is not harmful and will stop aftera short while. Please ensure meanwhile thatthere is sufficient ventilation.

Warning! Ensure that there issufficient distance from the wall,fixtures and other appliances. Thedistance must be at least 1 m toexclude the risk of fire.

1. Select a location in compliance with thesafety information (see “4. Safetyinformation” on page 4).

2. Plug the mains plug into a wall socketthat complies with the technical data.Note:If you have plugged other powerconsumers into the same circuit, checkthat the maximum load for the installedfuse is not exceeded, as otherwise thefuse will trip.

5.3 Inserting the batteries

If the appliance is new or the batteries in theremote control are flat, new type AAA/LR03 batteries must be inserted.

1. Push off the battery compartment coveron the underside of the remote control.

2. Remove the old batteries if present.Note: Please observe the instructionsfor disposal (see “9.2 Disposable/rechargeable batteries” on page 11).

3. Insert new batteries.Note: Ensure the correct polarity (+/–). The correct polarity is shown on thebottom of the battery compartment.

4. Close the battery compartment again.

6. Operating

6.1 Using the appliance for the first time

1. Plug the mains plug into a wall socketthat complies with the technical data(see “3. Technical data” on page 4).

2. Switch the mains switch 9 to "I" toswitch on the power supply. The lamp in the main switch 9 lights upand you hear a beep.

3. Press the On/Off button 22 to switchthe appliance on. The display 5 lights up.

The appliance is now ready for use and canbe operated by means of the remote controlor control panel 2.

6.2 Selecting the temperature

Notes: • Temperature display 20:

– set specified temperature• Temperature display 21:

– measured actual temperature• Temperature is measured directly at the

appliance using temperature sensor 8. Itmay be some time before the entireroom has also reached this temperature.

1. To choose whether you wish thetemperature to be displayed in °C or °F,press button 24.Selected unit of measurement 14 isshown in the display 5.

2. Press the “Increase temperature”button 16 to increase the desiredtemperature up to a maximum of 37 °C(99 °F).Selected specified temperature 20 isshown in display 5.

3. Press the “Reduce temperature”button 17 to lower the desiredtemperature to a minimum of 5 °C(41 °F).Selected specified temperature 20 isshown in display 5.

6.3 Setting the heat setting

The appliance has three heat settings:– 1,000 watts– 1,300 watts– 2,300 watts

1. Press button 25 repeatedly until thedesired heat setting is set.Selected heating level 11 is shown indisplay 5.

2. Press the fan button 15 to switch the fanon or off.If the fan is switched on, "Fan"symbol 12 is shown in display 5.Note: The fan might make a slightnoise, but it does ensure bettercirculation of the heated air.

6.4 Setting the heating time

The appliance has a timer for setting theheating time to between 1 and 15 hours.The appliance switches off automaticallyonce the heating time has expired. 1. Press timer button 18 repeatedly until

desired running time 19 is shown indisplay 5.

2. To switch off the timer, press timerbutton 18 repeatedly until runningtime 19 is no longer displayed.

6.5 Thermal cut-out

For your safety the appliance has a thermalcut-out.If the temperature inside the appliancebecomes too high, the appliance switchesoff automatically:1. Switch the mains switch 9 to "0" to

switch off the appliance.2. Check whether the air inlet 6 or outlet 4

is obstructed and remove the cause.If you cannot establish a cause and thefault occurs repeatedly, have theappliance repaired or else take it out ofuse.

3. Wait for the appliance to cool down.4. You can then continue to operate it

normally.

6.6 Frost protection

To prevent the temperature in a room fallingbelow 0 °C (32 °F), proceed as follows:1. Press the button for selecting heating

level 25 repeatedly until "Frostprotection" symbol 13 appears indisplay 5.

As soon as the temperature in the immediatevicinity of the appliance drops significantlybelow 7 °C (44 °F), the heatingautomatically switches on. As soon as the temperature rises to above9 °C (48 °F), the heating switches off anddisplay 5 shows room temperature again. 2. To switch off frost protection, press the

button for selecting heating level 25repeatedly until "Frost protection"symbol 13 in display 5 disappears.

7. Cleaning

To ensure your appliance gives you lastingservice, you should clean it regularly.

Warning! To avoid the danger ofan electric shock or burning:– remove the mains plug before

each clean;– allow the appliance to cool

down;– never immerse the appliance in

water;– never allow water or cleaning

agent to run into the appliance.1. Carefully remove major dust deposits

from the protective guards with avacuum cleaner.

2. Remove any remaining dirt with a softbrush.

3. Clean the outside of the appliance witha damp cloth. You could also use a littlewashing-up liquid.Caution! Never use caustic or abrasivecleaning agents, as this could damageyour appliance.

4. Wipe the appliance with a clothmoistened with clear water.

5. Do not use the appliance again until ithas dried completely.

9. Disposal

9.1 Appliance

The symbol with the crossed-out rubbish bin on wheelsmeans that within the EuropeanUnion, the product must bedisposed of to a sorted rubbishcollection. This applies to the

product and all accessories which aremarked with this symbol. Marked productsmust not be disposed of via the regulardomestic waste but must be handed in to arecycling centre for electrical or electronicdevices. Recycling helps to reduce the use ofraw materials and to relieve theenvironment. It is therefore imperative thatyou follow the disposal regulationsapplicable in your country.

9.2 Disposable/rechargeable batteries

Batteries must not be disposed ofwith normal household waste. Flatbatteries must be disposed of

properly. Special containers for batterydisposal are provided for this purpose at theshop where you bought the batteries or at amunicipal collection point. Batteries andrechargeable batteries on which thefollowing letters are printed contain harmfulsubstances as follows: Cd (cadmium), Hg(mercury), Pb (lead).

9.3 Packaging

If you would like to dispose of thepackaging, please observe thecorresponding environmental regulations inyour country.

10. HOYER Handel GmbH Warranty

Dear Customer,You have a warranty on this product whichis valid for 3 years from the date ofpurchase. In the event of this product beingdefective, you have statutory rights againstthe seller of the product. These statutoryrights are not limited by our warranty as setout below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period begins with the date ofpurchase. Please keep the original till receiptin a safe place. This is required as yourproof of purchase.

If a defect in materials or workmanshipoccurs within three years of the date yourproduct was purchased, we will repair orreplace the product at our discretion at nocharge to you. This service under warrantyassumes that the defective product and theproof of purchase (till receipt) are submittedwithin the three-year period and that a briefdescription in writing is provided of what thedefect is and when it occurred.If the defect is covered by our warranty, therepaired product or a new one will be sentback to you. There is no new warrantyperiod following repair or replacement ofthe product.

Warranty period and statutory claims relating to defects

The warranty period is not extended when aservice is provided under warranty. This alsoapplies to replaced and repaired parts. Anydamage or defects present at purchase mustbe reported immediately the product isunpacked. Repairs incurred once thewarranty period has expired arechargeable.

Scope of warranty

The product has been carefullymanufactured in accordance with strictquality guidelines and was thoroughlychecked before being delivered.The warranty applies to defective materialsor workmanship. This warranty does notextend to product parts exposed to normalwear and tear (and which can therefore beconsidered wear parts) or to damage tofragile parts such as switches, batteries orparts made of glass.This warranty is void if the product isdamaged or if it is not used or maintainedproperly. All the information in the operatinginstructions should be observed precisely toensure that the product is used properly.It is essential to avoid intended uses andactions which are discouraged or warnedagainst in the operating instructions.The product is intended for only private useand not for commercial purposes.The warranty is void in the event of misuse,incorrect treatment, use of force orinterference by anyone other than ourauthorized service centre.

4. Υποδείξεις ασφάλειας

4.1Επεξήγηση όρων

Σε αυτές τις Οδηγίες χειρισμού θα βρείτετους ακόλουθους όρους σήματα:

Προειδοποίηση!Μεγάλος κίνδυνος: Παραβίαση τηςπροειδοποίησης ενδέχεται ναπροκαλέσει σωματική βλάβη καιβλάβη για τη ζωή.

Προσοχή!Μέτριος κίνδυνος: Παραβίαση τηςπροειδοποίησης ενδέχεται να προκαλέσειυλική βλάβη.Υπόδειξη:Μικρός κίνδυνος: Θέματα, σχετικά με τοχειρισμό της συσκευής που πρέπει ναλαμβάνονται υπόψη.

4.2Γενικές υποδείξεις

• Πριν από τη χρήση παρακαλούμε ναδιαβάσετε προσεκτικά αυτές τις Οδηγίεςχειρισμού. Αποτελούν συστατικό μέροςτης συσκευής και θα πρέπει να είναι ανάπάσα στιγμή διαθέσιμες.

• Χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευή μόνο για τονπεριγραφόμενο σκοπό προορισμού(βλέπε «1.1 Προβλεπόμενη χρήση» σεσελίδα 14).

• Ελέγχετε αν η απαραίτητη τάση δικτύου(βλέπε πινακίδα τύπου στη συσκευή)ανταποκρίνεται στην τάση του δικού σαςηλεκτρικού δικτύου.

• Αυτή η συσκευή δεν προορίζεται γιαχρήση από άτομα (συμπεριλαμβανομέ-νων των παιδιών) με περιορισμένεςσωματικές, αισθητικές ή πνευματικέςδυνατότητες ή με ελλιπή εμπειρία ήπεριορισμένες γνώσεις, εκτός και αναρμόδιο για την ασφάλειά τους άτομο

• Η συσκευή επιτρέπεται να τοποθετηθείαποκλειστικά σε σταθερή, επίπεδη,στεγνή και μη αναφλέξιμη επιφάνεια.

• Προσέχετε ώστε να διασφαλίζεται καλήπρόσβαση στην ηλεκτρική πρίζα για ναμπορείτε να τραβάτε εν ανάγκη γρήγορατο βύσμα.

4.3Προστασία από ηλεκτροπληξία

Προειδοποίηση! Οι ακόλουθεςυποδείξεις ασφάλειας έχουν ωςστόχο να σας προστατέψουν απόενδεχόμενη ηλεκτροπληξία.

• Συνδέστε τη συσκευή μόνο σε γειωμένηπρίζα που έχει εγκατασταθεί σύμφωναμε τους κανονισμούς.

• Σε περίπτωση που η συσκευή πέσει στοδάπεδο ή χτυπηθεί σκληρά, ή πέσει μέσασε νερό, δεν επιτρέπεται πλέον η χρήσητης. Στην περίπτωση αυτή απευθυνθείτεστο Κέντρο Σέρβις της εταιρίας μας. Ταδεδομένα επικοινωνίας αναφέρονται στο«Κέντρο Σέρβις» στη σελίδα 26.

• Εάν η συσκευή έχει βλάβη, δενεπιτρέπεται σε καμία περίπτωση η χρήσητης συσκευής. Σε αυτή την περίπτωση,θα πρέπει να αναθέσετε την επισκευήτης συσκευής σε εξειδικευμένο

• Εάν έχει βλάβη το καλώδιο ηλεκτρικήςσύνδεσης αυτής της συσκευής, πρέπει νααντικατασταθεί από τον κατασκευαστή ήαπό ανάλογα εξειδικευμένο προσωπικό,προς αποφυγή κινδύνων.

• Μην χρησιμοποιείτε ποτέ τη συσκευήπλησίον νεροχύτη, μπανιέρας,ντουζιέρας ή πισίνας, διότι το νερόψεκασμού ενδέχεται να διεισδύσει στησυσκευή.

• Δεν επιτρέπεται σε καμία περίπτωση ναδιεισδύσουν νερό ή άλλα υγρά στησυσκευή. Συνεπώς:

– δεν επιτρέπεται ποτέ η χρήση σευπαίθριο χώρο

– δεν επιτρέπεται ποτέ η βύθιση σε υγρό– δεν επιτρέπεται ποτέ η χρήση σε πολύ

υγρό περιβάλλον όπως π.χ. σε λουτρό Σε περίπτωση που διεισδύσει υγρό στησυσκευή, αποσυνδέστε αμέσως το βύσμααπό την ηλεκτρική πρίζα και αναθέστετην επισκευή της συσκευής σεεξειδικευμένο προσωπικό. Τα δεδομέναεπικοινωνίας αναφέρονται στο «ΚέντροΣέρβις» στη σελίδα 26.

• Δεν επιτρέπεται να προσπαθήσετε ποτένα περάσετε στο εσωτερικό τηςσυσκευής με τα δάκτυλά σας ή με άλλααντικείμενα μέσα από τηνπροστατευτική εσχάρα.

• Δεν επιτρέπεται να πιάσετε ποτέ τησυσκευή, το καλώδιο τροφοδοσίας ή τοβύσμα με υγρά χέρια.

• Να αποσυνδέετε τη συσκευή πάντατραβώντας το βύσμα του καλωδίουτροφοδοσίας. Δεν επιτρέπεται νατραβήξετε ποτέ το ίδιο το καλώδιοτροφοδοσίας.

• Προσέχετε ώστε να μην προκληθεί ποτέσπάσιμο ή σύνθλιψη του καλωδίουτροφοδοσίας.

• Προσέχετε ώστε να μην προκληθείφθορά στο καλώδιο τροφοδοσίαςεξαιτίας αιχμηρών ακμών.

• Διατηρείτε το καλώδιο τροφοδοσίαςμακριά από υπέρθερμες επιφάνειες (π.χ.εστίες ηλεκτρικής κουζίνας).

• Οταν δεν χρησιμοποιείτε για μεγάλοχρονικό διάστημα τη συσκευή,αποσυνδέετε το βύσμα από τηνηλεκτρική πρίζα. Μόνο τότε η συσκευήείναι τελείως ελεύθερη ηλεκτρικούρεύματος.

• Θα πρέπει να αποφεύγετε τη χρήσηκαλωδίων επιμήκυνσης. Η χρήση τουςεπιτρέπεται μόνο υπό ορισμένωνπροϋποθέσεων:

– το καλώδιο επιμήκυνσης πρέπει ναείναι κατάλληλο για την έντασηρεύματος της συσκευής

– το καλώδιο επιμήκυνσης δενεπιτρέπεται να έχει εγκατασταθεί με”ασταθή” τρόπο: δεν επιτρέπεται νααποτελέσει παγίδα παραπατήματος ούτενα είναι προσβάσιμο σε παιδιά

– το καλώδιο επιμήκυνσης δενεπιτρέπεται σε καμία περίπτωση να έχειυποστεί φθορά

– δεν επιτρέπεται να συνδεθούν άλλεςσυσκευές στην ηλεκτρική πρίζα εκτόςαπό αυτή τη συσκευή, διότι διαφορετικάενδέχεται να προκληθεί υπερφόρτωσητου ηλεκτρικού δικτύου (απαγορεύεται ηχρήση πολύπριζου!).

• Η συσκευή δεν επιτρέπεται να λειτουργείμε εξωτερικό χρονοδιακόπτη ούτε μεξεχωριστό σύστημα τηλενεργοποίησης,όπως για παράδειγμα ασύρματορευματοδότη.

4.4Προστασία από κίνδυνο πυρκαγιάς

Προειδοποίηση! Επειδή ησυσκευή λειτουργεί με υψηλέςθερμοκρασίες, τηρείτε τιςακόλουθες υποδείξεις ασφάλειας,ώστε να μην είναι εφικτή ηπρόκληση πυρκαγιάς.

• Κατά τη διάρκεια λειτουργίας δενεπιτρέπεται να υπάρχουν εύφλεκτααντικείμενα (π.χ. κουρτίνες, χαρτιά κ.λπ.)στο άμεσο περιβάλλον της συσκευής.

• Δεν επιτρέπεται να χρησιμοποιήσετεποτέ τη συσκευή για να στεγνώσετεπάνω στη συσκευή ή με τη συσκευήυφάσματα ή άλλα αντικείμενα.

• Προς αποφυγή υπερθέρμανσης, δενεπιτρέπεται ποτέ η κάλυψη τηςσυσκευής.

• Κατά την τοποθέτηση της συσκευήςδιατηρείτε απόσταση τουλάχιστον 1 mσε σχέση με άλλες συσκευές ή με τοντοίχο.

• Μην λειτουργείτε ποτέ τη συσκευή σεεπικίνδυνους χώρους για έκρηξη ούτεπλησίον εύφλεκτων αερίων ή υγρών.

• Η συσκευή δεν επιτρέπεται νατοποθετηθεί ποτέ ακριβώς κάτω απόηλεκτρική πρίζα τοίχου, διότι ηπαραγωγή θερμότητας ενδέχεται ναπροκαλέσει βλάβες στην ηλεκτρικήεγκατάσταση.

• Προσέχετε πάντα ώστε να γίνεταιελεύθερη εισαγωγή και εξαγωγή τουαέρα. Διαφορετικά ενδέχεται ναπροκληθεί συμφόρηση θερμότητας στησυσκευή.

• Δεν επιτρέπεται να αφήσετε ποτέανεπίβλεπτη τη συσκευή σε λειτουργία.Οι βλάβες επισημαίνονται πάντα μέσωδημιουργίας έντονης οσμής. Στηνπερίπτωση αυτή αποσυνδέετε αμέσως το

βύσμα από την πρίζα και αφήνετε τησυσκευή να την ελέγξει εξειδικευμένοπροσωπικό. Τα δεδομένα επικοινωνίαςαναφέρονται στο «Κέντρο Σέρβις» στησελίδα 26.

4.5Προστασία από τραυματισμούς

Προειδοποίηση! Τηρείτε τιςακόλουθες υποδείξεις προςαποφυγή τραυματισμών.

• Προσέχετε ώστε το καλώδιοτροφοδοσίας να μην γίνει ποτέ παγίδαγια παραπάτημα ή μπέρδεμα για άτομα,τα οποία δεν επιτρέπεται ούτε να τοπατήσουν.

• Εάν θέλετε να μεταφέρετε τηνυπέρθερμη συσκευή, απενεργοποιήστετην, αποσυνδέστε το βύσμα από τηνηλεκτρική πρίζα και περιμένετε έως ότουκρυώσει καλά η συσκευή. Διαφορετικάενδέχεται να πάθετε εγκαύματα από τιςκαυτές επιφάνειες.

4.6Για την ασφάλεια του παιδιού σας

Προειδοποίηση! Συχνά τα παιδιάδεν μπορούν να εκτιμήσουν σωστάτους κινδύνους και συνεπώς μπορείνα τραυματιστούν. Συνεπώςπροσέξτε:

• Αυτό το προϊόν επιτρέπεται ναχρησιμοποιείται μόνο υπό την επίβλεψηενηλίκων, ώστε να διασφαλίζεται τογεγονός ότι τα παιδιά δεν παίζουν με τησυσκευή.

• Προσέξτε ιδιαίτερα ώστε η συσκευή ναβρίσκεται πάντα μακριά από τηνεμβέλεια παιδιών.

• Το τηλεχειριστήριο περιέχει μπαταρίες.Προσέχετε ώστε οι μπαταρίες αυτές να

μην περάσουν ποτέ σε παιδικά χέρια,διότι υπάρχει κίνδυνος κατάποσης.

Η κατάποση μπαταριών μπορεί να είναιεπικίνδυνη για τη ζωή. Σε περίπτωσηκατάποσης μπαταριών, ζητήστε αμέσωςιατρική βοήθεια.

• Προσέχετε ώστε η πλαστική μεμβράνησυσκευασίας να μην αποτελέσειθανατηφόρα παγίδα για παιδιά. Οιπλαστικές μεμβράνες συσκευασίας δενείναι παιχνίδια.

4.7Χειρισμός μπαταριών

Προειδοποίηση!Προς αποφυγή κινδύνου έκρηξης,δεν επιτρέπεται η φόρτισηκανονικών μπαταριών, ούτε ηθέρμανση ή η εξουδετέρωσηαυτών με κάψιμο. Σε περίπτωση υπερχείλισης υγρώνμπαταρίας, αποφεύγετε την επαφήμε δέρμα, μάτια και βλεννογόνους,προς αποφυγή τραυματισμών. Σεπερίπτωση επαφής με τα υγράμπαταρίας ξεπλένετε το πληγένσημείο αμέσως με άφθονο καθαρόνερό και απευθυνθείτε αμέσως σειατρό.

Προσοχή! Προς αποφυγή βλαβών στησυσκευή και προς διασφάλιση τηςλειτουργίας τηρείτε τα εξής: • Κάνετε ταυτόχρονα αντικατάσταση όλων

των μπαταριών.• Μην χρησιμοποιείτε μπαταρίες

διαφορετικού τύπου, ούτε συνδυάζετεταυτόχρονα νέες με παλιές μπαταρίες.

• Μην βραχυκυκλώνετε μπαταρίες.• Εάν η συσκευή δεν χρησιμοποιηθεί για

μεγάλο διάστημα, αφαιρείτε τιςμπαταρίες. Μπαταρίες που εμφανίζουνδιαρροή ενδέχεται να προκαλέσουνβλάβη στη συσκευή.

4.8Υλικές φθορές

Προσοχή! Προς αποφυγή υλικών φθορώντηρείτε τους ακόλουθους κανονισμούς. • Αφαιρείτε τις μπαταρίες από το

τηλεχειριστήριο όταν δεν τοχρησιμοποιείτε για μεγάλο χρονικόδιάστημα. Η διαρροή μπαταριώνενδέχεται να προκαλέσει βλάβη στοτηλεχειριστήριο.

• Προσέχετε ώστε να γίνει σωστήτοποθέτηση των ποδιών (βλέπε«5.2 Τοποθέτηση συσκευής» σεσελίδα 20), διότι διαφορετικά ενδέχεταινα προκληθούν εκδορές ή άλλες φθορέςστο δάπεδο.

5. Αφαίρεση συσκευασίας, τοποθέτηση και θέση μπαταριών

5.1Συναρμολόγηση συσκευής

Πριν από τη θέση σε λειτουργία τηςσυσκευής πρέπει να βιδωθούν τα πόδια 7:1. Βγάζετε τη συσκευή από τη συσκευασία.2. Απομακρύνετε τη συσκευασία

μεταφοράς. 3. Ελέγξτε αν η συσκευή έχει ζημιές. 4. Ωθήστε τα πόδια 7 του έξω μέσα στις

αντίστοιχες υποδοχές στην κάτω πλευράτου αερόθερμου.

5. Βιδώστε σταθερά τα πόδια 7 με τιςσυνημμένες βίδες.

5.2Τοποθέτηση συσκευής

Υπόδειξη: Επειδή η συσκευή και ταθερμαντικά στοιχεία παραδίδονται μεελαφριά επάλειψη λιπαντικού, ενδέχεται ναπροκληθεί ελαφριά δημιουργία καπνού καιοσμής. Αυτό είναι αβλαβές και εξαφανίζεταιμετά από σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα.Παρακαλούμε να φροντίσετε για επαρκήεξαερισμό κατά το διάστημα αυτό.

Προειδοποίηση! Προσέχετε ώστενα υπάρχει επαρκής απόστασηπρος τον τοίχο, προς τααντικείμενα επίπλωσης και προςάλλες συσκευές. Η απόσταση θαπρέπει να ανέρχεται τουλάχιστονσε 1 m, ώστε να αποκλείεται οκίνδυνος πυρκαγιάς.

1. Επιλέξτε ένα σημείο τοποθέτησης, τοοποίο ανταποκρίνεται στις υποδείξειςασφάλειας (βλέπε «4. Υποδείξειςασφάλειας» σε σελίδα 16).

2. Εισάγετε το βύσμα σε ηλεκτρική πρίζα, ηοποία ανταποκρίνεται στα τεχνικάδεδομένα.Υπόδειξη: Εάν έχετε συνδέσει καιπεραιτέρω καταναλωτές στο ίδιοκύκλωμα, προσέχετε ώστε να μηνπροκαλείται υπέρβαση της μέγιστηςαπόδοσης της εγκατεστημένηςασφάλειας, διότι διαφορετικά η ασφάλειαπροκαλεί απόλυση.

5.3Τοποθέτηση μπαταριών

Εάν η συσκευή είναι νέα ή είναι άδειες οιμπαταρίες στο τηλεχειριστήριο, πρέπει νατοποθετηθούν νέες μπαταρίες τύπου AAA/LR03. 1. Σπρώξτε το καπάκι της θήκης μπαταριών

στην κάτω πλευρά του τηλεχειριστηρίου.2. Αφαιρέστε τις παλιές μπαταρίες, εφόσον

υπάρχουν. Υπόδειξη: Τηρείτε τις υποδείξειςαπόσυρσης (βλέπε «9.2 Μπαταρίες/συσσωρευτές» σε σελίδα 24).

3. Τοποθετήστε νέες μπαταρίες. Υπόδειξη: Προσέξτε τη σωστήπολικότητα (+/—). Η σωστή πολικότηταεπισημαίνεται στον πάτο της θήκηςμπαταριών.

4. Κλείστε πάλι τη θήκη μπαταριών.

6. Χειρισμός

6.1Θέση της συσκευής σε λειτουργία

1. Εισάγετε το βύσμα σε ηλεκτρική πρίζα, ηοποία ανταποκρίνεται στα τεχνικάδεδομένα (βλέπε «3. Τεχνικά δεδομένα»σε σελίδα 15).

2. Ενεργοποιείτε την τροφοδοσία ρεύματοςμετακινώντας το γενικό διακόπτη 9 στηθέση «I». Η λάμπα στο γενικό διακόπτη 9 ανάβεικαι ηχεί χαρακτηριστικός τόνος.

3. Ενεργοποιήστε τη συσκευή, πατώντας τοπλήκτρο Εντός/Εκτός 22. Η οθόνη 5 ανάβει.

Τώρα η συσκευή είναι σε λειτουργικήετοιμότητα και ο χειρισμός της μπορεί ναγίνει με το τηλεχειριστήριο ή με το πεδίοχειρισμού 2.

6.2Επιλογή θερμοκρασίας

Υποδείξεις: • Ένδειξη θερμοκρασίας 20:

– ρυθμισμένη απαιτούμενηθερμοκρασία

• Ένδειξη θερμοκρασίας 21:– μετρημένη πραγματική θερμοκρασία

• Η μέτρηση θερμοκρασίας γίνεται μεαισθητήρα θερμοκρασίας 8 άμεσα στησυσκευή. Για να καλύψει η θερμοκρασίατο συνολικό χώρο, μπορεί να παρέλθειμερικός χρόνος.

1. Επιλέξτε σύμφωνα με την επιθυμία σαςτην ένδειξη θερμοκρασίας σε °C ή °F,πατώντας το πλήκτρο 24. Η επιλεγμένη μονάδα μέτρησης 14εμφανίζεται στην οθόνη.

2. Πατήστε το πλήκτρο “Θερμοκρασίααύξηση“ 16, για να αυξήσετε τηνεπιθυμητή θερμοκρασία έως το ανώτεροσε 37 °C (99 °F). Η ρυθμισμένη απαιτούμενη θερμοκρασία20 εμφανίζεται στην οθόνη 5.

3. Πατήστε το πλήκτρο “Θερμοκρασίαμείωση“ 17, για να μειώσετε τηνεπιθυμητή θερμοκρασία έως το κατώτεροσε 5 °C (41 °F). Η ρυθμισμένη απαιτούμενηθερμοκρασία 20 εμφανίζεται στηνοθόνη 5.

6.3Ρύθμιση βαθμίδας θέρμανσης

Η συσκευή διαθέτει τρεις βαθμίδεςθέρμανσης:

– 1.000 Watt– 1.300 Watt– 2.300 Watt

1. Πατήστε το πλήκτρο 25 τόσο συχνά έωςότου ρυθμιστεί η επιθυμητή βαθμίδαθερμοκρασίας. Η επιλεγμένη βαθμίδα θέρμανσης 11εμφανίζεται στην οθόνη 5.

2. Πατήστε το πλήκτρο ανεμιστήρα 15, γιανα ενεργοποιήσετε ή απενεργοποιήσετετον ανεμιστήρα. Ÿταν είναι ενεργοποιημένος οανεμιστήρας εμφανίζεται στην οθόνη 5το σύμβολο "Ανεμιστήρας“ 12.Υπόδειξη: Ο ανεμιστήρας μπορεί ναπαράγει έναν σιγανό θόρυβο, φροντίζειόμως για την καλύτερη ανακύκλωση τουθερμασμένου αέρα.

6.4Ρύθμιση διάρκειας θέρμανσης

Η συσκευή διαθέτει χρονόμετρο, με το οποίομπορείτε να ρυθμίσετε την επιθυμητήδιάρκεια θέρμανσης μεταξύ 1 και 15 ωρών.Μετά την παρέλευση της διάρκειαςθέρμανσης η συσκευή απενεργοποιείταιαυτόματα. 1. Πατήστε το πλήκτρο χρονομέτρου 18

τόσο συχνά, έως ότου εμφανιστεί ηεπιθυμητή διάρκεια λειτουργίας 19 στηνοθόνη 5.

2. Για να απενεργοποιήσετε το χρονόμετρο,πατήστε το πλήκτρο χρονομέτρου 18τόσο συχνά, έως ότου σβήσει η ένδειξηδιάρκειας λειτουργίας 19.

6.5Προστασία υπερθέρμανσης

Για τη δική σας ασφάλεια η συσκευή αυτήδιαθέτει προστασία υπερθέρμανσης.Σε περίπτωση που η θερμοκρασία στοεσωτερικό της συσκευής είναι πολύ υψηλή, ησυσκευή απενεργοποιείται αυτόματα:1. Απενεργοποιήστε τη συσκευή

μετακινώντας το γενικό διακόπτη 9 στηθέση "0".

2. Ελέγξτε μήπως παρεμποδίζεται ηεισαγωγή αέρα 6 ή η εξαγωγή αέρα 4 καιεξαλείψτε την ενδεχόμενη αιτία. Εάν δεν μπορεί να εντοπιστεί αιτία και τοσφάλμα παρουσιάζεται επανειλημμένα,αναθέστε την επισκευή της συσκευής ήθέστε την εκτός λειτουργίας.

Για να αποφευχθεί η μείωση τηςθερμοκρασίας σε ένα χώρο κάτω από 0 °C(32 °F), κάνετε τα εξής: 1. Πατήστε το πλήκτρο επιλογής βαθμίδας

θέρμανσης 25 τόσο συχνά, έως ότουεμφανιστεί στην οθόνη 5 το σύμβολο"Προστασία ψύξης“ 13.

Μόλις η θερμοκρασία στο άμεσο περιβάλλοντης συσκευής πέσει ουσιαστικά κάτω από7 °C (44 °F), ενεργοποιείται αυτόματα ηθέρμανσ: Μόλις η θερμοκρασία αυξηθεί πάνω από 9 °C(48 °F), η θέρμανση απενεργοποιείται καιστην οθόνη 5 εμφανίζεται πάλι ηθερμοκρασία χώρου. 2. Για να απενεργοποιήσετε την προστασία

ψύξης, πατήστε το πλήκτρο επιλογήςβαθμίδας θέρμανσης 25 τόσο συχνά, έωςότου εξαφανιστεί από την οθόνη 5 τοσύμβολο "Προστασία ψύξης“ 13.

7. Καθαρισμός

Για να χαρείτε πολλά χρόνια τη συσκευή σας,θα πρέπει να την καθαρίζετε τακτικά.

Προειδοποίηση! Προς αποφυγήκινδύνου ηλεκτροπληξίας ήπρόκλησης εγκαυμάτων:– Αποσυνδέετε πριν από κάθε

καθαρισμό το βύσμα.– Αφήνετε τη συσκευή να κρυώσει. – Μην βυθίζετε ποτέ τη συσκευή

μέσα σε νερό.– Μην αφήνετε να εισχωρεί στη

συσκευή νερό ή απορρυπαντικά.1. Απομακρύνετε μεγάλες αποθέσεις

σκόνης από τις προστατευτικές σχάρεςπροσεκτικά με ηλεκτρική σκούπα.

2. Τα υπολείμματα τα απομακρύνετε μεαπαλή βούρτσα.

3. Καθαρίζετε τη συσκευή εξωτερικά με ένανωπό πανί. Μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετεεπίσης και λίγο απορρυπαντικό πιάτων.Προσοχή! Δεν επιτρέπεται ναχρησιμοποιείτε ποτέ ισχυρά ή άγριααπορρυπαντικά, γιατί μπορεί ναπροκληθούν βλάβες στη συσκευή σας.

4. Καθαρίστε με ένα πανί, το οποίο έχετευγράνει με καθαρό νερό.

5. Θα πρέπει να χρησιμοποιείτε τη συσκευήξανά, μόνο όταν στεγνώνει εντελώς.

9. Απόσυρση

9.1Συσκευή

Το σύμβολο του διαγραμμένουδοχείου απορριμμάτωνδηλώνει ότι το προϊόν στηνΕυρωπαϊκή Ενωση πρέπει νααποσυρθεί σε ξεχωριστήσυλλογή απορριμμάτων. Αυτό

ισχύει για το προϊόν και για όλα ταεξαρτήματα που φέρουν τη σήμανση με τοίδιο σύμβολο. Προϊόντα που φέρουνσήμανση δεν επιτρέπεται να αποσύρονται μετα κανονικά οικιακά απορρίμματα, αλλάπρέπει να συλλέγονται σε ειδικά σημείαυποδοχής για την ανακύκλωση ηλεκτρικώνκαι ηλεκτρονικών συσκευών. Η ανακύκλωσηυποστηρίζει τη μείωση κατανάλωσηςπρώτων υλών και ανακουφίζει τοπεριβάλλον. Συνεπώς τηρείτε οπωσδήποτετους κανονισμούς απόρριψης που ισχύουνστη χώρα σας.

9.2Μπαταρίες/συσσωρευτές

Οι μπαταρίες δεν επιτρέπεται νακαταλήγουν στα οικιακάαπορρίμματα. Οι άχρηστες

μπαταρίες πρέπει να αποσύρονται σύμφωναμε τους κανονισμούς. Προς το σκοπό αυτόυπάρχουν διαθέσιμα ειδικά δοχείααπόσυρσης μπαταριών στο ειδικό εμπόριομπαταριών όπως και στις αρμόδιεςδημοτικές υπηρεσίες συλλογής μπαταριών.Μπαταρίες και συσσωρευτές πουεπισημαίνονται με τα ακόλουθα γράμματα,περιέχουν μεταξύ άλλων και μολυσματικέςουσίες. Cd (κάδμιο), Hg (υδράργυρος),Pb (μόλυβδος).

9.3Συσκευασία

Σε περίπτωση που επιθυμείτε την απόσυρσητης συσκευασίας, λάβετε υπόψη σας τιςαντίστοιχες διατάξεις περιβαλλοντικήςπροστασίας της χώρας σας.

Με τηνεπισκευή ή την αντικατάσταση τουπροϊόντος δεν ανανεώνεται το χρονικόδιάστημα της εγγύησης.

Χρόνος εγγύησης και νόμιμες αξιώσεις εξαιτίας ελαττωμάτων

Ο χρόνος εγγύησης δεν παρατείνεται με τηνπαροχή εγγύησης. Αυτό ισχύει επίσης γιαεξαρτήματα που αντικαθιστούνται ήεπισκευάζονται. Ενδεχόμενες βλάβες ήελαττώματα που παρουσιάζονται κατά τηναγορά, πρέπει να αναφέρονται αμέσως μετάτον άνοιγμα πακέτου του προϊόντος. • Versuchen Sie niemals mit Fingern oderGegenständen durch die Schutzgitter indas Innere des Gerätes zu fassen.

• Fassen Sie das Gerät, die Netzan-schlussleitung oder den Netzstecker nie-mals mit feuchten Händen an.

• Ziehen Sie die Netzanschlussleitungstets am Netzstecker heraus. Ziehen Sieniemals am Kabel selber.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzan-schlussleitung nie geknickt odergequetscht wird.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzan-schlussleitung nicht durch scharfe Kantenbeschädigt wird.

• Halten Sie die Netzanschlussleitung vonheißen Flächen (z.B. Herdplatte) fern.

• Wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nichtbenutzen, ziehen Sie den Netzsteckeraus der Steckdose. Nur dann ist dasGerät völlig stromfrei.

• Die Benutzung von Verlängerungskabelnsollten Sie vermeiden. Sie ist nur unter

ganz bestimmten Voraussetzungengestattet:– Das Verlängerungskabel muss für die

Stromstärke des Gerätes geeignetsein.

– Das Verlängerungskabel darf nicht„fliegend“ verlegt sein: es darf nichtzur Stolperfalle werden oder vonKindern erreichbar sein.

– Das Verlängerungskabel darf keines-falls beschädigt sein.

– Es dürfen keine weiteren Geräte alsdieses Gerät an der Netzsteckdoseangeschlossen werden, da es sonst zueiner Überlastung des Stromnetzeskommen kann (Verbot von Mehrfach-steckdosen!).

• Das Gerät darf nicht mit einer externenZeitschaltuhr oder einem separaten Fern-wirksystem, wie zum Beispiel einer Funk-steckdose, betrieben werden.

4.7 Umgang mit Batterien

Warnung!Um eine Explosionsgefahr zu ver-meiden, dürfen normale Batteriennicht geladen, erhitzt oder durchVerbrennen beseitigt werden.Wenn Batteriesäure ausgelaufenist, vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mitHaut, Augen und Schleimhäuten,um Verletzungen zu verhindern.Spülen Sie bei Kontakt mit der Bat-teriesäure die betroffenen Stellensofort mit reichlich klarem Wasserund suchen Sie umgehend einenArzt auf.

Vorsicht! Um Schäden am Gerät zu ver-meiden und die Funktion zu gewährleistenbeachten Sie: • Tauschen Sie immer alle Batterien zur

gleichen Zeit aus.• Verwenden Sie nicht unterschiedliche

Batterietypen oder neue und alte Batte-rien gemischt zur gleichen Zeit.

• Schließen Sie Batterien nicht kurz.

• Wird das Gerät längere Zeit nicht ver-wendet, entnehmen Sie die Batterien.Auslaufende Batterien könnten sonst dasGerät schädigen.

4.8 Sachschäden

Vorsicht! Um Sachschäden zu vermeiden,beachten Sie folgende Bestimmungen.

• Nehmen Sie die Batterien aus der Fern-bedienung, wenn Sie diese längere Zeitnicht benutzen. Durch auslaufende Bat-terien könnte die Fernbedienungbeschädigt werden.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Füße korrektangebracht sind (siehe „5.2 Gerät auf-stellen“ auf Seite 32), sonst könnte derFußboden verkratzen oder Brand-flecken bekommen.

5. Auspacken, aufstellen, Batterie einlegen

5.1 Gerät montieren

Bevor das Gerät in Betrieb genommen wer-den kann, müssen die Füße 7 angeschraubtwerden:1. Nehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Ver-

packung.2. Entfernen Sie die Transportverpackung.3. Überprüfen Sie, dass das Gerät keine

Beschädigungen aufweist. 4. Schieben Sie die Füße 7 von außen in

die entsprechenden Aufnahmen an derUnterseite des Konvektors.

5. Schrauben Sie die Füße 7 mit den mitge-lieferten Schrauben fest.

5.2 Gerät aufstellen

Hinweis: Da das Gerät bzw. die Heizele-mente leicht eingefettet geliefert werden,kann es bei der ersten Benutzung zu leich-ter Rauch- und Geruchsbildung kommen.Dies ist unschädlich und hört nach kurzerZeit auf. Bitte achten Sie währenddessen aufausreichende Lüftung.

Warnung! Achten Sie auf genüg-end Abstand zur Wand, Einrich-tungsgegenständen oder anderenGeräten. Der Abstand sollte min-destens 1 m betragen, um eineBrandgefahr auszuschließen.

1. Wählen Sie einen Standort, der denSicherheitshinweisen entspricht (siehe„4. Sicherheitshinweise“ auf Seite 29).

2. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eineSteckdose, die den technischen Datenentspricht.Hinweis: Sollten Sie noch weitereVerbraucher am gleichen Stromkreisangeschlossen haben, achten Siedarauf, dass die maximale Belastbarkeitder installierten Sicherung nichtüberschritten wird, da sonst dieSicherung auslöst.

5.3 Batterie einlegen

Wenn das Gerät neu ist oder wenn die Bat-terien in der Fernbedienung leer sind,müssen neue Batterien vom Typ AAA/LR03eingelegt werden. 1. Schieben Sie den Deckel des Batterie-

faches auf der Unterseite der Fernbedie-nung ab.

2. Entnehmen Sie die alten Batterien,sofern vorhanden.Hinweis: Beachten Sie dieEntsorgungshinweise (siehe„9.2 Batterien/Akkus“ auf Seite 36).

3. Legen Sie neue Batterien ein.

Hinweis: Achten Sie auf die korrektePolung (+/–). Die korrekte Polung ist aufdem Boden des Batteriefachesgekennzeichnet.

4. Schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder.

6. Bedienen

6.1 Gerät in Betrieb nehmen

1. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eineSteckdose, die den technischen Datenentspricht (siehe „3. Technische Daten“auf Seite 28).

2. Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung ein,indem Sie den Hauptschalter 9 auf „I”stellen. Die Lampe im Hauptschalter 9 leuchtetund es ertönt ein Piep-Ton.

3. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Siedie Ein-/Aus-Taste 22 drücken. Das Display 5 leuchtet.

Das Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit und kannmit der Fernbedienung oder demBedienfeld 2 bedient werden.

6.2 Temperatur wählen

Hinweise: • Anzeige der Temperatur 20:

– eingestellte Soll-Temperatur• Anzeige der Temperatur 21:

– gemessene Ist-Temperatur• Die Temperaturmessung erfolgt mit

einem Temperatursensor 8 direkt amGerät. Bis auch der gesamte Raum dieseTemperatur erreicht hat, kann einige Zeitverstreichen.

1. Wählen Sie aus, ob Sie die Temperatur-anzeige in °C oder °F haben wollen,indem Sie die Taste 24 drücken.Die gewählte Maßeinheit 14 wird imDisplay 5 angezeigt.

2. Drücken Sie die Taste „Temperaturhöher“ 16, um die Soll-Temperatur bisauf maximal 37 °C (99 °F) zu erhöhen.Die eingestellte Soll-Temperatur 20 wirdim Display 5 angezeigt.

3. Drücken Sie die Taste „Temperaturniedriger“ 17, um die Soll-Temperatur bisauf minimal 5 °C (41 °F) zu verringern.Die eingestellte Soll-Temperatur 20 wirdim Display 5 angezeigt.

6.3 Heizstufe einstellen

Das Gerät besitzt drei Heizstufen:– 1.000 Watt– 1.300 Watt– 2.300 Watt

1. Drücken Sie die Taste 25 so oft, bis diegewünschte Heizstufe eingestellt ist.Die gewählte Heizstufe 11 wird imDisplay 5 angezeigt.

2. Drücken Sie die Ventilatortaste 15, umden Ventilator ein- oder auszuschalten.Bei eingeschaltetem Ventilator wird dasSymbol „Ventilator“ 12 im Display 5angezeigt.

Hinweis: Der Ventilator erzeugt zwarein leises Geräusch, sorgt aber für einebessere Umwälzung der erhitzten Luft.

6.4 Heizdauer einstellen

Das Gerät besitzt einen Timer, mit dem Siedie gewünschte Heizdauer zwischen 1 und15 Stunden einstellen können. Nach Ablaufder Heizdauer schaltet das Gerät auto-matisch ab. 1. Drücken Sie die Timer-Taste 18 so oft,

bis die gewünschte Laufzeit 19 imDisplay 5 angezeigt wird.

2. Um den Timer auszuschalten, drückenSie die Timer-Taste 18 so oft, bis keineLaufzeit 19 mehr angezeigt wird.

6.5 Überhitzungsschutz

Zu Ihrer Sicherheit besitzt dieses Geräteinen Überhitzungsschutz.Falls die Temperatur im Inneren des Geräteszu hoch wird, schaltet es sich automatischaus:1. Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung aus,

indem Sie den Hauptschalter 9 auf „0“stellen.

2. Überprüfen Sie, ob der Lufteintritt 6 oderLuftaustritt 4 behindert ist und beseitigenSie die Ursache.Sollte keine Ursache feststellbar sein undder Fehler wiederholt auftreten, lassenSie das Gerät reparieren oder nehmenes außer Betrieb.

3. Warten Sie ab, bis sich das Gerät abge-kühlt hat.

4. Danach können Sie es normal weiterbe-treiben.

6.6 Frostschutz

Um zu verhindern, dass die Temperatur ineinem Raum unter 0 °C (32 °F) abfällt,gehen Sie so vor:1. Drücken Sie die Taste für die Wahl der

Heizstufe 25 so oft, bis das Symbol„Frostschutz“ 13 im Display 5 angezeigtwird.

Sobald die Temperatur in unmittelbarerNähe des Gerätes deutlich unter 7 °C(44 °F) fällt, schaltet sich die Heizung auto-matisch ein.Sobald die Temperatur auf über 9 °C(48 °F) steigt, schaltet sich die Heizung ausund im Display 5 wird wieder die Raumtem-peratur angezeigt. 2. Um den Frostschutz auszuschalten,

drücken Sie die Taste für die Wahl derHeizstufe 25 so oft, bis das Symbol„Frostschutz“ 13 im Display 5verschwindet.

7. Reinigen

Damit Sie lange Freude an Ihrem Geräthaben, sollten Sie es regelmäßig reinigen.

Warnung! Um die Gefahr eineselektrischen Schlages oder einerVerbrennung zu vermeiden:– Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung

den Netzstecker.– Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.– Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie in

Wasser.– Lassen Sie kein Wasser oder

Reinigungsmittel in das Gerätlaufen.

1. Entfernen Sie grobe Staubablagerungenin den Schutzgittern vorsichtig mit einemStaubsauger.

2. Die Reste entfernen Sie mit einerweichen Bürste.

3. Reinigen Sie das Gerät außen mit einemfeuchten Lappen. Sie können auchetwas Spülmittel nehmen.Vorsicht! Verwenden Sie niemalsscharfe oder scheuerndeReinigungsmittel, da Ihr Gerät dadurchbeschädigt werden könnte.

4. Wischen Sie mit einem Lappen, der mitklarem Wasser angefeuchtet ist, nach.

5. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder,wenn es vollständig getrocknet ist.

9.1 Gerät

Das Symbol der durchgestri-chenen Abfalltonne auf Rädernbedeutet, dass das Produkt inder Europäischen Union einergetrennten Müllsammlungzugeführt werden muss. Dies

Batterien dürfen nicht in den Haus-müll. Verbrauchte Batterien müssensachgerecht entsorgt werden. Zu die-

sem Zweck stehen im batterievertreibendenHandel sowie bei den kommunalen Sammel-stellen entsprechende Behälter zur Batterie-Entsorgung bereit. Batterien und Akkus, diemit den folgenden Buchstaben versehensind, beinhalten u.a. die Schadstoffe: Cd(Cadmium), Hg (Quecksilber), Pb (Blei).

9.3 Verpackung

Wenn Sie die Verpackung entsorgen möcht-en, achten Sie auf die entsprechendenUmweltvorschriften in Ihrem Land.
