Our people

1971: Christos Nanopoulos founds Domissima, as a company designed to offer solutions in waterproofing and building protection products.

1978: Domissima is the first company in Greece that introduces injectable epoxy resins for structure reinforcement in damaged buildings during the aftermath of the earthquake of Thessaloniki.

70's and early 80's: Domissima is the exclusive distributor of Swiss company MEYNADIER in Greece (now owned by BASF), working both in the waterproofing sector as well as in the building protection products sector.

Late 80’s: Domissima develops an independent chemical building products department utilizing its yearlong experience and the continuing collaboration with Meynadier's top chemist, Mr. Robert Serena - a cooperation still active today after 35 years.

Our history

1988: Domissima joins forces with Imperbel in in the field of bituminous waterproofing membranes, first as sole distributor in Greece and later forming a joint Greek-Belgian company, Domissima Imperbel Europe. During the years of the cooperation with Imperbel, Derbigum becomes widely known in the Greek market as the undisputable top quality APP membrane, both for roofing as well as civil engineer projects.

90's and 00's: Domissima expands in the field of Civil Engineer projects waterproofing, applying more than 5.000.000m² of membranes in tunnels, bridges, reservoirs, canals, etc. It was during that time that many of the new generation building protection products were developed, specifically adapted to the particular needs of each project.

Substrate preparation – Smoothing of the side surfaces. Substrate cleaning with water. 3 layers of SERITAL applied by spraying.
