Yippee! Christmas is nearly here! I love Christmas time, seeing all the shop

windows dressed to impress and bringing us joy. I wonder who will win this years

Christmas shop window competition? Judging takes place on the 12th of December

so there is still time for shops/businesses to enter! Please send in any photos and

we will share them on our ever-growing facebook page.

There’s free parking again this Christmas in all shoppers car parks in Christchurch

and Highcliffe from Monday 17th December to Monday 24th December - come

and show your support for the town centers this year. Don’t forget that the

Christmas Lights Switch On will be on December 1st - always a great occasion to

bring the kids into town and give them a day they won’t forget!

Congratulations to Heather & Geoff of Mr Simms Sweet Shoppe who won this

month’s Business Award for Christchurch, having received some lovely testimonials

sent in by you, our readers. If you would like to nominate a business that has served

good news in the town, that’s what it’s all about!

Please, please, please support your town and shop locally where you can. We’re not

saying don’t go to the supermarket/out of town for everything, just make that little

bit more effort to think about whether you could actually get it locally, you’d be

surprised at what a difference you can make especially if we all try and do the same.

Finally, it’s Happy Birthday to us! Local Eye Magazines have been running for three

years this December and have gone from strength to strength. We have listened to

our readers and advertisers and with your support, have been able to produce the

Highcliffe Eye in addition to the Christchurch Eye to you earlier this year, which has

received an overwhelming response from you all. Thank you so much for all your

kind words and support, they really do keep me going!

Merry Christmas to you all.

I would like to tell you about two products that could provide a good option to help rheumatic problems. Pain can be so distressing. We all know that constant use of pain-killing tablets and some creams brings unwanted side effects. I would like to tell you about Devil’s Claw and Arnica Gel which can also be used in other complaints such as back ache, sports injuries and muscular pain.

What is Devil’s Claw?Devil’s Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) is a plant originally found in the Kalahari desert. Because it became endangered and because of its importance, it is now sustainably cultivated there.

Numerous studies have shown that Devil’s Claw extract reduces pain in patients with rheumatic problems, and improves mobility. It can be taken over the long term with no adverse side effects. Its analgesic

due to containing bitter substances. Bitters are well-known to help painful indigestion, bloating and related problems. Devil’s Claw can also improve appetite. But don’t worry, it does not mean it will make a normal appetite bigger!

Devil’s Claw has been used in cases of

it has been seen to improve the condition

Injuries to the ligaments and muscles caused by sports activity or trauma

also respond well to Devil’s Claw. Combined with Arnica gel it soon gets you back to doing what you like best.

Arnica gel for faster relief. Arnica Gel is a herbal remedy made from

easy-to-apply, non-greasy gel. It is great for muscle aches or pains, stiffness or after sporting injuries. It can be used up to 4 times a day. There are no contraindications when using other medication and it does not have a strong smell.

A Vogel delivers quality you can trust.Herbal remedies are only as good as the ingredients used. Our preferred Devil’s Claw product is Atrosan. Atrosan, has been licensed for the relief of rheumatism. It can also be used for joint pain (knees, shoulders, hips, etc) back pain and muscular pain. Atrogel is also an A Vogel

favourite at our stores.

Glucosamine and Fish Oils.Atrosan and Atrogel combine well

glucosamine. Where pain and swelling is moderate to severe it would be well-worth trying this combination.

We want you to feel better. Try this combination at a special price. For more information visit our stores in Ferndown and Christchurch or our web store www.myhealth365.co.uk

Poetry Corner by CCC Poets

Christmas  Day  in  South  Goa

December

Minutes to midnight last day of December.

Days have been like cricket balls flying so fast

My memory cannot catch them to remember

The present is fading full astern into the past.

Seems a short time ago we were walking in the snow

Intoxicated again on last New Year.

The stars shivering. The wind trying to blow

The light out from the moon in bad temper.

Did all of your resolutions lapse like mine?

Did you fulfil your vows like you wanted to?

I vowed to be patient, and to drink less wine.

Okay as usual I got none out of two.

Close to midnight. Big Ben emits silent powers.

Vow not to waste time. Cannot recycle hours.

Christchurch is going Totally Locally, come and CHRISTCHURCH

If every adult in the CHRISTCHURCH AREA
