Carnivals are named the three weeks before Big [Sarakosti]. They are identified with the period of [Triodioy], a mobile period in the Orthodoxe Christian delivery by Sunday of [Telonoy] and [Farisaioy] up to Sunday of [Tyrofagoy] or [Tyrinis].
Carnival in Greece This days becomes the custom [glentioy],
the entertainment and the “masquerading”, the disguise, that has remained from old feasts of romaikis season, the feasts dedicated in the handing-over of god Satoyrnoys from the Sun Kronia “Loyperkalia” and “Satoyrnalia” and from ancienter “Dionysiakes feasts of” Greeks, where the persons were disguised, danced, sang drinking wine and the mirth reached in vertical to price of Dionyssis.
