Electrochemical Methods of Analysis July 25 to 29. Criteria for the Purity of Proteins July 22 to 24. Geochemistry • The California Section of the ACS will meet July 8 at Lewis Hall on the Berkeley campus of the University of California. Frank M. Strong of the University of Wisconsin will speak on Antimycin. • Glycerine Producers' Association has invited nominations for the sixth annual Glycerine Research Awards. The awards were established in 1952 to recognize and encourage research leading to new and improved applica- tions of glycerol or glycerol derivatives to products and processes. They are open to any individual in the U. S. and Canada engaged in research, whether employed in industry or affiliated with a government or educa- tional institution, except those con- nected with member companies of Association of American Soap & Glyc- erine Producers or labs which they employ. All nominations should be received by Nov. 1. Blanks are avail- able from the Awards Committee, Glycerine Producers' Association, 295 Madison Ave., New York 17, Ν. Υ. • American Institute of Chemical En- gineers, South Texas section, wall hold its 12th annual technical meeting Oct. 18 at the new Moody Convention Cen- ter in Galveston.
