ATHENS METRO –LINE 3 EXTENSION TOWARDS PIRAEUS Preliminary and Final Design of the Tunnel, 6 new Stations and 9 Shafts. EXTENSION OF LINE 3 TOWARDS PIRAEUS FORESTATION AIGALEO- CHAIDARI-AG. VARVARA - PIRAEUS Initially designed at a preliminary stage and then at a final design stage, the construction for the tunnel linking the Aigaleo forestation with the new station and forestation in Chaidari. Then, the preliminary design for the line extension up to Ag. Varvara station and preliminary design of the section Ag.Varvara-Pireaus. This was followed by the final design for the section Chaidari-Ag.Varvara as well as the final design for the section Ag.Varvara-Piraeus. The total extension has a length of 7,700m and includes the underground stations: CHAIDARI, AG. VARVARA, KORIDALLOS, NIKAIA, TABOURIA and PIRAEUS, as well as 9 shafts. The project will be constructed via underground excavation of the tunnel, 3 stations via cut & cover, 2 with sections constructed via underground excavation and 1 via 1 με cover & cut. Preliminary Design of the 2 single track tunnels, the double track tunnel and 6 Stations

EXTENSION OF LINE 3 TOWARDS KIFISSIA WITH A JUNCTION FROM PANORMOU TO MAROUSI Design at a preliminary stage: Construction of two single track tunnels with a length of 1,521m and 1,253m and a double track tunnel with a length of 7,653m, 6 new underground stations and 8 shafts. Station FAROS and the section towards MAROUSI are constructed using the cut & cover method. The rest of the project is constructed with underground excavation via convention means, with the only exception a large part of the double track tunnel which is constructed via TBM.

The project was designed for construction via underground

excavation, open cut and at an initial stage even as an above

ground construction.

LINE 2 EXTENSION TOWARDS GALATSI PANEPISTIMIO STATION- TRALLEON STATION Design at a preliminary stage: underground excavation of a double track tunnel with a length of approximately 6,400m, single track tunnel with a length of 1,800m and construction of 7 new stations constructed with the cut and cover method. -PANEPISTIMIO: constructed via cut and cover method next to the already existing station. The platform area is constructed via underground excavation underneath the already existing station. -EXARCHIA, ALEXANDRAS, GALATSI, TRALLEON: The platform area and the connecting tunnels to constructed via underground excavation. Access and E/Μ areas via cut and cover. -KIPSELI, DIKASTIRIA: The stations are constructed using the cut and cover method exclusively.

EXTENSION OF LINE 2 TOWARDS ELLINIKO AG. DIMITRIOU FORESTATION- ELLINIKOU DEPOT Designed at a preliminary stage: initially, the construction of three stations at ground level and one underground station. Then, at a second phase, the underground excavation of a double track tunnel with a length of approximately 5,500m, the construction of four underground stations, a forestation and a depot with 8 tracks, constructed via the cut and cover method.

The project was designed for construction via

underground excavation, open cut and at an initial stage even as an above

ground construction.
