Detrop Boutique 2018 - the delicatessen show#

Detrop Boutique presents the best delicatessen products and foodstuffs produced in Greece, in

terms of both quality and production methods.

Through this 'deli’ exhibition, products of higher and outstanding quality created by micro-producers

from even the most remote areas of the country will be presented to a large number of Greek and

international buyers. This way, the glory of Greek gastronomy is no longer an advantage for a limited

audience, but for an expanding one.

Detrop Boutique is being organised by TIF-HELEXPO from the 24th to the 26th of February 2018 at

Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Centre and addresses retail and wholesale traders,

representatives of supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, as well as delicatessen stores, organic prod-

uct stores, bakeries, etc.

#CHEESE n’ WINE

The highlight of the exhibition is the special event titled CHEESE n’ WINE. It is well known that Greece

is home to distinguished producers of various types of cheese and wine. Following their first

successful participation, the two industries will meet for a second time at the same venue at their

own event held at a specially set-up area, with upgraded and highly refined structures. Domestic and

international producers will display their products around the tasting area. At the same time, through

the numerous events held, they will be able to invigorate their products and pair them with suitable

wines, creating alternative proposals that could serve as selling tools for the subsequent promotion

of their products.

The exhibition has ‘branched off’ from the established Detrop International Exhibition of Food, Bever-

ages, Machinery, Equipment & Packaging, held every two years and representing the dynamism and

extroversion of high-quality domestic food production. Detrop Boutique is held one year after each

Detrop exhibition.

Over 31,000 visitors: The exhibition ‘duo’ of Detrop Boutique (food-beverages) and Artozyma (bakery-confectionery) broke

every record in 2016, as the pair managed to attract over 31,000 visitors, acheiving a 66% increase

over DETROP 2015. The exhibition is strictly addressed to professionals of the following categories:

International visitors From the 110 international hosted buyers who came from Romania, Germany, Spain, Austria,

Russia, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, England, Cyprus and Albania, there

were independent visitors who spiced up the international ‘menu’. In total, over 3,000 meetings were

held between Greek and international enterprises.

Following its successful première in 2016, the ‘Cheese & Wine’ thematic exhibition is dynamically

being held for a second time. As indicated by its name, this special section focuses on the

presentation of producers of cheese and wine, two products that are flourishing in Greece.

Cheese and wine producers jointly display their products, which are paired with each other to

create new gastronomic paths. Cheese, the best pairing for wine according to the French, is

ideally accompanied by exceptional Greek wines. This creates alternative proposals that could

serve as selling tools for the subsequent promotion of their products.

Through the numerous events being held, visitors will have the opportunity to discover new

flavours and aromas, selecting the one that best fits their taste.

It should be noted that the tasting events held during Cheese n’ Wine will be coordinated by

distinguished tasters, while the Greek wine map will be presented by professional oenologists -

sommeliers.

Digital Marketing communication tools (Web – Advertising, Ε-newsletters, Google Display Network, Facebook, Youtube) Mass Media, with advertising spots and interviews on television and radio stations and in magazines and newspapers. Direct Μarketing with the dispatch of information material and invitations to the target-audiences that are of interest to exhibitors.

The promotion and communication of the 'Detrop Boutique 2018' exhibition will be particularly dynamic, with campaigns deployed in Greece and abroad through the use of suitable and efficient media combinations.

Detrop Boutique 2018 will implement a dynamic communications plan that will include all above &

below the line communication actions, such as television, radio, online communication (direct web

advertising, Google, etc.), press office/digital PR, social media strategy (32,000 Helexpo Facebook

members), entries in specialty press and newspapers, dispatch of newsletters to the members of

the established, targeted databases of TIF-HELEXPO, implementation of communication sponsors’
