KOBE BIOMEDICAL INNOVATION CLUSTER

1. Τι είναι το Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster (KBIC)

Η πόλη του Kobe έχει συγκροτήσει το Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster στο τεχνητό νησί “Port island”, ένα συγκρότημα σχετιζόμενο κυρίως με την ιατρική βιομηχανία, μέσω ανάπτυξης διάφορων συνεργασιών με τον ακαδημαϊκό χώρο, την κυβέρνηση κλπ. Το εν λόγω cluster αποτελεί ένα ολοκληρωμένο σύστημα, στο οποίο τα συμμετέχοντα μέρη εμπλέκονται σ’ ένα ευρύ φάσμα δραστηριοτήτων όπως βασική έρευνα, κλινικές δοκιμές κλπ.Mέχρι σήμερα 138 ιαπωνικές εταιρείες έχουν μεταφέρει την έδρα τους στο εν λόγω cluster, ενώ άλλες 250 επιχειρήσεις από 29 χώρες διαθέτουν παρουσία εκεί.

Ήδη στο Kobe Biomedical Cluster, ερευνητικά ινστιτούτα όπως το Riken Center for Development Biology (CDB) ή το Riken Advanced Institute for Computational Science (AICS) είναι ήδη εγκατεστημένα και πραγματοποιούν έρευνα.

2. Στόχοι του Kobe Biomedical Cluster

Bασικοί στόχοι του cluster είναι η πραγματοποίηση έρευνας και η ανάπτυξη ιατρικού εξοπλισμού, η υποστήριξη της κλινικής έρευνας φαρμακευτικών προϊόντων (κλινικές δοκιμές), οι κλινικές εφαρμογές αναγεννητικής ιατρικής (regenerative medicine) κλπ.

3. Πλεονεκτήματα KBIC

3.1 Ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα ιαπωνικά ιατρικά cluster

Στο εν λόγω cluster πολλές φαρμακευτικές και εταιρείες ιατρικού εξοπλισμού έχουν πραγματοποιήσει σχετικές επενδύσεις, αφού το περιβάλλον του KBIC είναι ιδανικό για κοινή έρευνα και ανάπτυξη, ανάπτυξη επιχειρηματικών επαφών καθώς και δημιουργία προσωπικών δικτύων.__________________________________________________________________________________

3.2. Εύκολη πρόσβαση

Το ΚΒΙC αποτελεί ένα βιομηχανικό cluster το οποίο απέχει μόλις 12 λεπτά από το κέντρο της πόλης του Kobe. Αντιστοίχως απέχει 5 λεπτά από το αεροδρόμιο του Kobe και 17 λεπτά οδικώς, από τον σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό Shin-Kobe. To αεροδρόμιο Haneda βρίσκεται μόλις 70 λεπτά από το cluster, ενώ από το Τόκυο με την υπερταχεία Shinkansen η απόσταση είναι μόλις 2 ώρες και 50 λεπτά.

3.3. Επιχειρηματική υποστήριξη. Φοροαπαλλαγές

To Cluster παρέχει μία συνολική επιχειρηματική υποστήριξη, προσφέροντας ενίσχυση σε θέματα οικονομικής φύσεως, αναζήτησης εγκατάστασης, οικονομιικής επιχορήγησης κλπ.Οι συμμετέχουσες αλλοδαπές εταιρείες απολαμβάνουν επιχορήγηση κατά 50% του ενοικίου για μία περίοδο 3 ετών, ενώ απολαμβάνουν επίσης μία σειρά φοροαπαλλαγών μέχρι ένα ορισμένο ποσοστό στον φόρο ακίνητης περιουσίας, φόρο επιχειρηματικότητας κλπ.

3.4. Περιβάλλον τεχνολογίας αιχμής

Το KBIC προσφέρει ένα περιβάλλον στο οποίο ήδη πραγματοποιείται μεταξύ άλλων σημαντική επιστημονική έρευνα για τα iPS cells καθώς και την χρήση του Supercomputer K (μεγαλύτερος υπολογιστής παγκοσμίως).

3.5. Παροχή εγκαταστάσεων για προσωρινή χρήση

Παρέχονται εγκαταστάσεις για προσωρινή χρήση (π.χ. για πειράματα ζώων), δίδοντας έτσι την ευκαιρία σε επιχειρήσεις για την υλοποίηση πραγματικής έρευνας και σχεδίων με ελάχιστη αρχική επένδυση.
