• Especially interesting for strangeness physics using stopped antiprotons

Principle of Antideuteron Breeding in a Double Storage Ring

Breeding Reaction is time inversed of pp pionic fusion pp -> dπ+

The total reaction cross section is large and well known: dσ/dΩ(0)= 3.2 mb with a maximum at Tp = 160MeV and 8,6% pionic fusion branch

Matching condition for accumulation anti-deuterons in ring 1
