    Keynote Speakers

    Kyoung Hoon Cho was born and raised in the Republic of Ko- rea. He began his college education at Hanshin University where he took courses in Japanese Studies. He came to the United States in 2007 and began taking courses at Savannah Technical College where he later earned an Associates degree in Account- ing before transferring to Savannah State. While enrolled at SSU, he has been an active member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Golden Key and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Societies. Kyoung is also very active in the local Savannah Korean Associa- tion. He was awarded a gold medallion in 2014 and has earned President’s List standing for the last five semesters. Kyoung plans to graduate in May with a Bachelor’s in Accounting.

    Vanda Johnson, originally from Staten Island, NY, later relo- cated to North Augusta, SC. She is a Naval Reserves Officers Training Corps scholarship recipient and currently the Midship- men Commanding Officer. After graduation in May 2015, the soon to be Surface Warfare Naval Officer will board the USS DDG 75 Donald Cook stationed in Rota, Spain. A participant in the 2014 Summer Research Opportunities Program at Purdue University, she led a group of students con- ducting research on which courses were predictors of how long a student matriculated through college using statistical analysis. Ad- ditional honors include first place in Oral Presentations for Math- ematics and Statistics at the 2015 Emerging Researchers National Conference and the Medal of Honor Award for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. She is also a three time silver medallion recipient and a three time President’s List and Dean’s List awardee.

    Daniqua Denson, originally from Flint, MI, later relocated to Columbus, GA. She enrolled at SSU in 2011 to major in Sociology and minor in Behavior Analysis. During her matriculation at SSU, she has participated in Tiger Ambassadors, the LADY Mentoring Program, the Lighthouse Project and Queens Without a Crown, Inc. She is also a member of Golden Key International Honour Society. Aside from career and professional goals, Daniqua also enjoys writing, science, poetry, music, and working with youth. Daniqua is a three time silver medallion recipient, five time President’s List and two time Dean’s List awardee. Scheduled to graduate in May 2015, she plans to pursue her masters at Colum- bus State University and one day hopes to operate a private prac- tice as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
