Η ασφάλεια των κτιρίων και γενικότερα των κατασκευών, αποτελεί αναμφισβήτητατον κύριο και καθοριστικό παράγοντα για την προστασία της ζωής και της περιουσίαςτων πολιτών σε περίπτωση σεισμού.Στη χώρα μας, η οποία παρουσιάζει την υψηλότερη σεισμικότητα στην Ευρώπη, τοαρμόδιο Υπουργείο Περιβάλλοντος Χωροταξίας και Δημοσίων Έργων έχει θέσει ωςπρώτη προτεραιότητα τη διαμόρφωση ενός σύγχρονου και αποτελεσματικού θεσμικούπλαισίου για την προστασία των κτιρίων από τον σεισμικό κίνδυνο.Ο Ελληνικός Αντισεισμικός Κανονισμός ΕΑΚ-2000, ο Κανονισμός ΩπλισμένουΣκυροδέματος ΕΚΩΣ-2000, ο Προσεισμικός έλεγχος Δημοσίων κτιρίων, καθώς καιμια σειρά από άλλους κανονισμούς και οδηγίες, αποτελούν τους βασικούς άξονες γιατην εξασφάλιση της αντισεισμικής επάρκειας των κατασκευών.Το παρόν τεύχος με τίτλο ΣΥΣΤΑΣΕΙΣ ΓΙΑ ΠΡΟΣΕΙΣΜΙΚΕΣ ΚΑΙΜΕΤΑΣΕΙΣΜΙΚΕΣ ΕΠΕΜΒΑΣΕΙΣ ΣΤΑ ΚΤΡΙΑ, έρχεται να συμπληρώσει τοπαραπάνω πλαίσιο κανονισμών και τεχνικών οδηγιών του ΥΠΕΧΩΔΕ στηνκατεύθυνση της βελτίωσης της σεισμικής συμπεριφοράς και ασφάλειας τωνυφισταμένων κτιρίων.Στο τεύχος αυτό περιλαμβάνονται οι κατευθυντήριες οδηγίες και προδιαγραφές(αποτίμηση φέρουσας ικανότητας, τεχνικές επεμβάσεων, υλικά) τόσο για τηνπροσεισμική ενίσχυση κτιρίων, όσο και για την επισκευή των κτιρίων που έχουνυποστεί βλάβες από σεισμό.Με την πεποίθηση ότι το τεύχος αυτό θα συμβάλλει ουσιαστικά στην αντιμετώπισητου σεισμικού κινδύνου, το παραδίδω στον τεχνικό κόσμο της χώρας και ευχαριστώτον ΟΑΣΠ και τους διακεριμένους επιστήμονες που μόχθησαν γι’ αυτό το σημαντικόέργο.Νάσος ΑλευράςΥφυπουργός ΠΕ.ΧΩ.Δ.Ε
