Psychology of embryos, neonates and infants: current developmentalresearch**G. Kugiumutzakis

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to describe the current developmental psychological research findingson the abilities of human embryos, neonates and infants during pregnancy and first year. These researchfindings have led to many reversals of the psychological theories about the origin of the human mind, andprovide clear progress of knowledge. Although the common points of interest of paediatricians and de-velopmental psychologists are many, the relevant interdisciplinary dialogue has yet to begin.

Key words: Psychological birth, intersubjective mind, embryo, neonate, infant.
