The exact transfer- and de-tention conditions are not unknown to you. You de-cided upon them yourself. I was shocked to hear he went on a hunger strikeduring two weeks. The last four days he did not drinkeither. He started eating again because his life wasin danger, not because there had been a responseof any kind. You have been justifying the special measures andextremely hard conditions by the lies and terroristatmosphere you have created yourself. By this yourepresented a situation which is unbearable to any-one, as normal and even necessary. The exceptionally long detention period in Spain(more than 20 years) has inevitably caused seriousmental and physical damage. Especially the 14 yearsof total isolation in the infamous FIES-regime andthe current practice of torture therein, provoked hisactual irremediable health problems. He is trauma-tised and suffers chronic heart problems. Jose Delgado points out that he wont be able tobear these conditions much longer. His detention conditions put him in acute peril of life.You are directly responsible for this. Therefore, I demand that he is granted conditionsthat make it possible for him to live further on. Thisis his fundamental right as a human being.
- Own clothing as long as he is in U-haft.
- Immediate disposal of his personal possessions(dictionaries, letters, addresses, books and othermaterials.)
- Access to the recreation facilities for long-termprisoners: sport, culture, cooking and the like.
- The correspondence and the books, sent to himin accordance with the prison regulations shouldbe handed over to him immediately.
- Cessation of the isolation regime and the possi-bility to have contact with other prisoners.
- Immediate cessation of the lies and of the cre-ation of the terrorist atmosphere.
In case you wouldnt comply with this basic de-mands, I feel obliged to act upon this matter withpersistency.
