SCHOOL NEWS his month, our school went to

three different places which were

the School Museum, the Acropolis

and the Monastery of Kaisarianis.

The first and the second grade

students visited Actionaid and the

School Museum. The teachers there

told them about how school was

thirty years ago.

The third and the fourth grade

students visited the Acropolis

museum and the teachers there told

them about how the Acropolis was

built.

The fifth and the sixth grade students

visited the Monastery of Kaisarianis

and the teachers there explained how

the Monastery was built one thousand

years ago.

What is halloween

Halloween is a celebration on the night of October 31st.

It is most practiced in the United States and Canada.

Children wear costumes and go to people‟s homes

Saying „‟trick or treat !“ to ask for candy ( sweets

in the UK).

THANKS GIVING DAY Thanksgiving day is a national holiday celebrated on the 2nd of October to give thanks

for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. That day people eat turkey,

corn and yams.

Halloween Short Story

Once upon a time there was kid John who was looking forward to Halloween.

On the Halloween day all the kids were wearing their suits but John didn‟t wear his

suits. He was staying in his house and he was playing playstation 4. One hour later three

kids rang the bell at John‟s house. John opened the door and the other kids told john to

give them the sweets. John refused and close the door. But then he understood his

mistake, he put on his scary costume and went outside to celebrate Halloween. Every

Halloween John celebrated that day

and he was very, very happy ever

since.

A different world Many centuries ago, in California, three friends lived in an ordinary house in the centre

of the city. Their names were Cameron, Elizabeth and Victoria.

One day Elizabeth went to her grandma and she took a book called A DIFFERENT

WORLD. Grandma told her: “This book is dangerous…”. Elizabeth didn‟t understand her

grandma‟s phrase but she didn‟t pay attention. When she arrived home she pointed the

book to her friends.

It was night…they went to their bedroom to sleep. An earthquake hit when the

girls fell asleep. The earthquake made the book fall from the table and it opened. The

girls woke up but they weren‟t in their bedroom. They were in a beautiful grass land.

They saw a big and strong waterfall. Suddenly, Cameron fell in it…The other girls

thought that Cameron was DEAD… The girls were hopeless. They searched for a way

out, when they went to the exit, they saw Cameron… they were excited. They asked her

how she survived. Cameron told them that when she fell down, a big, strange and cute

animal rescued her. A few minutes later she climbed on some rocks and she started to

search for them, then she found them. Then Elizabeth understood her grandma‟s phrase.

They opened the door and they pointed out to their beds. All those were a long

horrible dream…

The ghost A long time ago , a dark night at Halloween , a little girl went to a house for “trick or

treat” . She knocked on the door but nobody opened it. Then the girl saw a lamp

flashing in the dark . Suddenly, the door opened and a big scary ghost jumped out and

ate the little girl . Since then no one has ever set foot there .

Footvolley Footvolley is a sport which combines beach volley ball

and football. Footvolley was created in Rio de Janeiro‟s

Copacabana beach by Octanio de Moraes in 1965. The

number of the players on each side of the field is 2

versus 2.

Points are awarded if the ball hits the ground in the opponents court, if the

opponents commit a fault or if they fail to return the ball over the net. The winning

team is the one having the most points.

Major events have been held at many beach cities in countries around the world

including Spain, Portugal, Greece, United Arab Emirates, France, the Netherlands, Aruba,

Thaland, South Africa, Paraguay, Brasil etc.
